She paused, nudged the door open a bit further, and spotted Adele doing a handstand against the wall, her face flushed and her voice quivering as she cried, âMommy, Iâm sorry.

Yet, Sadie continued to slap Adele as she yelled, âI told you to be quiet!â
Witnessing the scene, Arianaâs heart tightened, her breaths deepened with fury, and a surge of anger consumed her.
Itâs unimaginable that Sadie was treating her own child this way!
Fueled by rage, Ariana forcefully kicked the door open, startling Sadie with a loud bang.
âWhatâs happening?â Sadie shouted, mistaking Ariana for the returning maid.

Redirecting her focus to Adele, Ariana noticed Adele was still in distress, with tears on her face and red eyes.
She promptly lifted Adele upright and embraced her.
Adele looked at Ariana, then turned to look at Sadie with fear.
Her lips showed signs of bruising, and her arms bore marks.
She was sweaty, with droplets forming on her forehead.
