Chloe and Livia, startled by Sadieâs outburst, quickly tried to intervene, fearing Sadie might hurt the baby in her belly.
But Sadie was beyond reasoning.
Her eyes, red with anger, locked onto Ariana.
âYou shameless home-wrecker! You stole Holden, and now, you want to take my child away, too? Have you no decency? How dare you even show your face here? If it werenât for you, Holden, the baby, and I would be a perfect family.
You belong in hell for tearing my family apart! Give me back my child! Donât you dare take her away!â
Sadie attempted to reach Ariana, and even with Chloe and Livia intervening, they couldnât stop Sadie.
Witnessing Sadieâs wild behavior, Ariana realized she couldnât trust Sadie around Adele.
When Sadie lunged at her, Ariana merely frowned and stepped aside, avoiding Sadieâs grasp.
But in her frantic state, Sadie lost her balance.
Breaking free from Chloe and Livia, she stumbled into a table.
She let out a cry of pain and crumpled to the floor, shouting, âHelp! Ariana is trying to kill me! Save my baby!â
Ariana stood there, shocked.
She hadnât touched Sadie, yet Sadie was accusing her of assault.
Ariana responded, âAre you out of your mind? I didnât even touch you.
How can you accuse me of that?â
Meanwhile, Sadie remained on the floor, still screaming for help.
Devin quickly called a doctor, and that was when Holden arrived.
âWhat happened here?â Holden asked, his frown deepening as he took in the chaotic scene.
With tears streaming down her face, Sadie pointed at Ariana and exclaimed, âSheâs trying to hurt me! She wants to hurt our baby.
â
âThatâs not true.
She tripped on her own!â Ariana countered, her voice a mix of panic and frustration.
She turned to Holden and said.
âShe Lunged at me, lost her footing, and fell.
I never touched her.
â
Holden nodded, his eyes noting the bruises on Arianaâs neck, his expression growing more serious.
âTake a break outside; Iâll handle this,â he said calmly.
Adele tugged at Arianaâs hand, murmuring, âAria.
â
Ariana glanced down at Adele and chose to step outside with her.
Sitting in the hallway, her anger subsided, Ariana was overwhelmed by the chaotic mess her life had become.
It seemed her fate was a tangled web.
She questioned if she was truly the villain Sadie had portrayed her as.
Would life have been calm and ordinary for all of them if she had never reconnected with Holden?
Deep in her thoughts and fiddling with her hair, Ariana was snapped back to reality by a small hand touching her.
Adele tenderly brushed the red marks on Arianaâs neck, softly blowing on them and murmuring, âThe hurt will be gone, Aria.
â
When Ariana saw Adeleâs gentle look, she remembered when Sadie had slapped Adele and forced the little girl to stand upside down just now.
Arianaâs eyes turned red at once.
She held Adele in her arms, gently patted her back, and stroked her head to comfort her.
She asked softly, âHow are you feeling now? Are you hurt somewhere?â
Then, Ariana saw Adeleâs red face.
She recalled how Adele had been forced to apologize repeatedly.
Ariana felt pain in her heart, wondering why Sadie would treat her daughter like that.
