The next day.
Last night the triplets didn't go to seperate rooms, they all stayed in Skye's room. Rafael had come to check on them and tell them it was time for bed but seeing them he couldn't split them up. He had handed them some of Nico's clothes. Despite only being 2 years old Nico's clothes were massive on them.
They all seperated when they woke up to get ready for the day in their rooms to save time. Thankfully the basement they had been kept in had a bathroom so whenever they were allowed to change which wasn't often they would do it in there.
The triplets were all very confused when Rafael gave them clothes, they were even more confused when he told them breakfast will be ready at 8. They had never had breakfast before, not since they were 4 years old. The triplets were paranoid it was a trap and were extremely nervous.
It really confused them when Rafael had gone on to say Leo and Nico were taking them shopping for clothes and stuff they need.
They were still convinced it was a trap. They didn't trust the men, their so called family.
Skye couldnt even keep the pants up without them falling they were too big. The t-shirt she was wearing went down to her knees.
She didn't want to go out without her brothers so she had to wait for them to finish getting ready.
Unfortunately for her when there was a knock at her door, she went to anwser it thinking it was Alexander and James but instead it was Lorenzo. She gulped and backed away.
"Good morning Skye, I just came to check you were up, breakfast is ready soon" he said.
Skye had never spoken to him alone, she had barely spoken to Leo and he was the one she was least afraid of.
Lorenzo looked at her seeing how big the clothes on her were. He couldn't help but break the emotionless expression and smile, it was slightly amusing.
"Well you can't go out like that, why don't we go see if we can find something to keep them up" he said gently.
Skye looked at him with confusion, she was too scared to say no so she nodded and before she knew it, she had followed him into his room.
She looked around, it was alot bigger than her room and lacked any warmth.
She stayed by the door ready to run if needed.
Lorenzo glanced at her shaking frame and sighed. He didn't even want to acknowledge his thoughts, He hoped he was wrong.
He grabbed a belt for her from one of the drawers. Her eyes went wide when she saw him come closer with it in his hand. She was terrified. Lorenzo looked so much more stronger than them, he could easily do more damage. All she could think of was that he was going to hit her. she realised her hopes of it being different here were stupid.
Instead of crying, she had an emotionaless look. They hurt her more when she cried so she refused to cry. They hurt her more when she resisted so she stood there.
Lorenzo held the belt out for her. She was confused. What was she meant to do with it.
"Here you need to put it on, I'll most likely need to make another hole in it" he said.
She was still confused. She looked at the belt he was offering her and then at him. He realised the confusion but didn't get why.
"May I do it" he asked.
She nodded. She didn't dare say no and she was confused at what he wanted.
Skye closed her eyes ready for some kind of hit but she never felt anything.
Lorenzo didn't like this but he chose not to say anything about it just yet "can you open your eyes for me Skye"Â for some reason Skye found the tone he used calming.
She opened her eyes to see Lorenzo with the belt wrapped around her waist.
"I'm going to make a hole in it as the belt is too big. Can I do that" he asked.
Skye nervously nodded.
"Perhaps close your eyes?" He suggested not wanting to scare her with the knife.
Skye didn't hesitate she closed her eyes tightly. Lorenzo was quick to get out his pocket knife and stab a hole in the belt. He pocketed the knife once done. "Ok all done" he told her. She opened them as he fastened the belt in place.
"Thank you sir" she whispered knowing it would be wise to thank him since he just solved the problem she was having.
Lorenzo froze, he was glad she spoke but didn't like being called sir.
"It's Lorenzo,skye" he replied.
"Sorry it's a habit sir...I mean Lorenzo"
"Don't worry about it, how about we go down for breakfast, yeah?"
Skye nodded.
"Great. Oh and Skye I know you three are scared of us but I promise we aren't all that bad" he said as he led her out.
When they reached the kitchen they heard arguing.
Skye automatically stepped behind Lorenzo and he found himself feeling a strange emotion. He felt protective of her.
It was weird to him as he didn't do emotions so he didn't know what to do.
He eventually decided the first thing to do was stop the arguing. He opened the door and wasn't very surprised to see Alexander and Marco.
"Enough" he ordered, his voice had Alex and James cowering and Skye grow even more scared as she ran to James.
"Would you care to explain yourselves" Lorenzo asked.
Alex was terrified. He shouldnt have argued. He should have let it go. Now Lorenzo was going to be angry with him.
"James" Lorenzo said but before he could continue Alex spoke.
"No leave him out of this, it was all me. I argued, he didn't do a thing"
"As I was saying, James, I want you to take Skye and go wait in another room, perhaps the living room or you could go find Nico" Lorenzo said.
James and Skye didn't want to leave. They looked at Alex not wanting him to get hurt, they felt guilty that they couldn't defend him.
Alex noticed this and he wanted his siblings gone. He was greatful that Lorenzo had them leave, they didn't need to see how weak he was "leave" he told them
"But" James whispered.
"No buts, leave now" Alex insisted.
James and Skye reluctantly left.
"I'll ask again why were you argueing" Lorenzo asked.
"He started it, the boy has no respect" Marco said.
Alex expected to be beaten right there and then so he was a little suprised when Lorenzo didn't even look his way.
"Oh really? Because from what I've heard it is you who has no respect. Beating up a kid? Is that how low you have gone now?"
Marco shifted a little looking down.
"So Alexander why were you argueing just now" Lorenzo asked in a much calmer tone.
"Um well it was my fault really, I'm sorry I shouldn't have done it" Alex replied thinking he was in the wrong and the best way to avoid the pain was apologize.
"I didn't ask who's fault it was, I asked why"
"You know about last night?" Alex asked.
"Yes" Lorenzo replied.
"Well Leonardo said he had to apologize so Marco came to apologize and I guess we just started argueing " Alex replied not wanting to get Marco angry by telling him.
"What were you argueing about, I suggest you don't hide anything from me" Lorenzo said.
"He said sorry then he started insulting James sir" Alex whispered looking at the floor.
"I should have ignored him, I'm sorry sir" Alex added.
"What did he say to James" Lorenzo said.
"I called him weak and pathetic, the boy doesn't talk what was I meant to call him.  He's so scrawny and cries at everything. Like I said, he's weak" Marco said nastily.
"My brother is not weak or pathetic" Alex was quick to defend.
"That's enough Alexander" Lorenzo replied.
Marco smirked thinking Lorenzo was on his side.
Lorenzo was not on his side.
Alex stepped back and shut up, he was terrified.
Lorenzo turned to Marco "how dare you say that. He's a child. You know what I think your projecting your own insecurities about being weak as you're an adult bullying a child. It's pathetic that you are spending your time insulting your little brother...oh and I don't blame him for not wanting to talk, I mean come on who in their right mind would optionally talk to you"
Alex felt bad for Marco as Alex had those stuff said about him before but he couldn't help feel a little...happy? No one but Skye and James had ever defended him but now both Leo and Lorenzo had defended him in the space of 24 hours.
"Now apologize to Alexander" Lorenzo demanded.
Silence.
"Now Marco. I don't have all day"
"I'm sorry" Marco muttered.
"What was that I couldn't hear you" Lorenzo said, not satisfied with the apology.
"I'm sorry" Marco said with annoyance.
"You don't sound sorry, try again" Lorenzo said
Alex definitely struggled to keep a straight face at what was going on.
"I'm so so sorry, please forgive me"
"I suggest you drop the sarcasm too. We will do this all day if we have too" Lorenzo said.
"Fine. I'm sorry" Marco said in an acceptable tone
"What are you sorry for" Lorenzo asked.
"For insulting James" Marco replied.
"Alexander, do you accept his apology?"
Alex nodded in response.
"Great. Let's go Marco, you need to apologize to James now, and it better be a good one"
Lorenzo made Marco apologize to James, it went pretty much the same as it did with Alex, only Lorenzo wasn't happy with it in the end. Once James and Skye who refused to leave James alone left for breakfast meaning Lorenzo and Marco were alone. Lorenzo turned deadly.
"I went easy on you because I have no intention on showing the triplets how angry I am. You already was in deep trouble after what I heard last night, and now this. You are to have breakfast and after breakfast we will continue this in my office" Lorenzo said with anger.
"How can you take their sides, they have only been here a day"
"It doesn't matter how long they have been here, you were in the wrong"
"Oh please, can't you see what an annoying shit Alexander is"
"He's protective over his siblings, you dragged Skye out of his room, I don't blame him for trying to attack you. And don't get me started on making them call you sir, it's disgusting that you want your own siblings to call you sir"
"You just can't see what a pain they are, they should never have come here, they are weak, pathetic and just overall annoying"
Lorenzo didn't take this lightly. He was already annoyed at Marco for all his wrong doings so this just pushed him over the edge.
He slapped Marco "if you dare say one more thing I will have you living in the cells for a week" he threatened. He didn't waste any more time on the boy, he left the room.
When he reached the kitchen again, Nico and Leo were in there. Nico was talking to the triplets about how they would go shopping and all the things they could get. He was just excited to spend time with them.
Leo was making coffee and breakfast for his siblings.
"Dad left for work early this morning, I'm going to take the kids for stuff after breakfast, do you need anything whilst we are out"
"I don't need anything. Perhaps the kids would find online shopping for stuff easier "
"Yeah we are getting them clothes and other essentials today then they can get room stuff online"Â Leo agreed.
"Make sure you get them school stuff too. They have only been homeschooled so they might not be on the same level"
"Got it. Maybe you could come if you're not busy. I have a feeling we might need two cars"
"I suppose Marco can wait a little longer" he whispered this time.
"Great. Good news kids, we are having a family day out, shopping " Leo exclaimed to the kids.
They didn't look pleased. "It will be fun " he then enthused to the kids.
