Chapter 18: chapter 15

The triplets looked up at the school. Students were everywhere and it was overwhelming.

They took comfort in the fact that there was many younger children also looking a little overwhelming.

Skye was especially nervous due to Marco's warning about Lorenzo not being around.

She actually found comfort in the fact Marco was nowhere to be seen.

"So I guess this is school" James muttered.

"Lorenzo did say Rafael made sure we were all in the same classes" Alex reassured them.

They slowly entered the school, they saw two older students welcoming the new students. One of them spotted the triplets and beckoned them over.

They reluctantly went over to the students.

"Hi I'm Anna, I'm a senior here and we hope you have a good time here, as I was telling these new students, there is a welcome assembly for all new students so if you can go to the main assembly hall" the senior spoke

The triplets soon found themselves following a group of kids also heading to the assembly hall.

The three of them found an empty row in the middle and sat down. Kids were filling up the seats pretty quickly.

Eventually the principal entered with a smile on his face.

"Welcome new students,  we hope you find everything to your satisfaction....." He then lectured them about the school, the classes and anything else you could think of.

Envolpes were on a table at the front, all alphabetical order with the students name. One row at a time they went up and got the letter which included their timetable, their locker information and a map of the school.

In first class they managed to sit together. Nothing interesting happened. The teacher gave them a mini test to see what they already know.

In second class it was a seating plan and too the triplets horror they were all sat seperately.

Alex next to a girl named Jade.

James next to a girl called Lily.

And Skye next to a boy called Theo, which Alex and James absolutely hated.

"What's your name" Theo asked randomly.

"S..Skye" this was her first time talking to someone her own age who wasn't her brothers.

"Last name"  he asked.

Skye thought for a moment but she couldn't remember.

"Why does it matter" she asked.

"I don't like your name" he bluntly said.

"Sorry" she whispered not wanting to anger him. She feared the boy would get angry and hit her.

"Whatever" he said.

After a while he spoke again "do you have any brothers"

The triplets had been first to arrive  and being sat seperately meant no one in the class actually knew they were triplets.

"Why" she asked getting nervous.

"You should just change your name, maybe dye your hair blonde or something" he snapped looking at her with hate.

"Why" she asked again. She didn't like his attitude but she had no idea what she did wrong or how to fix it.

"Because you look stupid" he snapped.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to" Skye really did believe he would hit her.

Theo sighed "Im sorry it's just I had this friend and she was called Skye" he whispered feeling guilty.

"I have brothers" she said when she saw he had opened up slightly.

He seemed to brighten up at this "my Skye was a triplet. Two brothers who never left her side"  Theo whispered.

"Well that's Alex over there, and James over there" Skye whispered pointing to her two brothers.

James was writing everything the teacher said down and Alex was writing down a short summary.

"Please tell me your father is Rafael Romano" Theo asked with hope.

"I think so, he is called Rafael"

That was enough for Theo, he grinned widely.

He had been best friends with Skye and her brothers growing up however he was always closer to Skye.

"It's you" he said with a grin.

"Sorry I don't really remember you" she said feeling guilty.

"Yeah it was a long time ago. I remember bits and pieces. I didn't know you were back, where did you go? What happened?" He asked.

"Um can we just focus on class" she said feeling uncomfortable. She did not want to talk about it with anyone.

"Okay but you three have to sit with my friends and I at lunch" Theo stated.

Class passed quickly, at the end of class, James and Alexander came straight over.

"Hi I'm Theo" Theo introduced.

"You okay Skye, he wasn't bothering you was he?" Alex asked ignoring Theo.

"No but he says we used to be friends " she whispered.

Alex glared at Theo. He thought he was using Skye so he could earn her trust befriend her and hurt her.

"I'm James" James whispered introducing himself.

Theo smiled "it's good to see you again James, I only remember bits"

"Oh I'm sure you do" Alex sarcastically replied.

"My parents have pictures of the four of us, I can show you tommorow" Theo said.

"I look forward to it" Alex replied with annoyance.

"Me too, I'll see you at lunch" and with that Theo left.

"Lunch?" James questioned as they headed to their next class.

"He invited us to sit with him and his friends at lunch" Skye explained.

Alex wasn't pleased but nodded "fine"

T/w mention of  bullying and a few comments about eating disorders

Lunch time was when things started to go wrong. Everyone was rushing to the cafeteria so much so that the brothers lost their sister in the crowd of people. They tried  to stop but their was too many people so they both reluctantly waited by the cafeteria inside at the side knowing she would come through.

Skye couldn't find Alex and James  and not actually knowing where to go she tried to follow the people but unfortunately she was to slow and when she finally hesitantly found her way a group of seniors appeared.

"Aw look it's a little lost first year" one of them said.

"Please don't" she whispered backing away.

She looked at them and realized Marco was stood with them, he watched with a smirk.

"Don't what? You're lost, we just want to show you the way" another said.

"Which way is it then" she whispered not trusting them.

"Through the double doors on your right. But tell me, you're awfully scrawny for a first year. Do your parents not feed you or maybe they do and you're just an anorexic bitch"  he had started of pleasent by giving her the correct instructions but he soon turned nasty.

"Obviously she's an attention seeker"  another said.

"I'm not " she whispered tears in her eyes forming.

"Well I'm bored, she's obviously too pathetic to waste time on" Marco said looking at her with hatred.

They all started to walk off, Marco stayed behind though and once his friends had walked ahead he spoke "I told you Lorenzo can't always be around to protect you. Next time I will let them continue, the only reason I stopped them was because we are too close to the cafeteria. I can't have you running to a teacher" he snapped in such a dark tone it made Skye shudder.

"Stupid bitch" he muttered as he turned and walked away.

"I...I h...hate y...you" Skye found the confidence to speak. She had never said anything like this before. She never spoke out against anyone.

Marco heard and stopped walking, a small frown on his face as he heard the words but he quickly became emotionless.

"The feeling is mutual" he said before walking away.

Marco had his back to her so he didn't see her shaking in fear, thinking he was going to turn and attack her for her words. She made sure she was okay before going in the direction they gave her which led to the cafeteria.

"Where were you" Alex said coming straight up to her. He had wanted to go find her but James had decided she probably went to the toilets or something.

"Come on let's go sit down" he said leading her back to the table  he had been sat at with James, Theo and some of the is friends. There was Ethan, Jack

and Ella.

"What's wrong" Alex asked when he saw Skye tense up. His focus was completely on her so he didn't see Marco and his friends walk in.

"Skye" James said with worry trying to get her attention.

"Excuse us" Alex said standing up not wanting to have such a serious conversation in front of the others. James and Alex quickly pulled Skye into a corner of the cafeteria.

They weren't aware of the two boys watching them. Nico and Marco were watching the triplets curiously.

"Did something happen whilst we were seperated" Alex asked.

"Maybe but it's fine" Skye confessed not being able to lie in front of Alex especially when he was so serious.

"Im sorry Skye I should have suggested you had gone to the toilet. We should have come and found you" James apologized as he felt guilty.

"What happened " Alex asked.

"Just some kids saying stuff nothing serious though" she whispered.

"Point them out Skye"

Skye shook her head.

"Now" Alex said coldly.

Skye shook her head. She wasn't afraid if her brother but he could be extremely protective.

"Well what did they say" he asked in a gentle tone realizing he was probably scaring her.

"Nothing really they just called me anorexic, an attention seeker and a bitch" Skye pointed out

"I'm going to fucking kill them"  Alex shouted a bit too loud.

"Alex please people are looking" Skye whispered.

The whole cafeteria was looking, all intrigued by the triplets who looked to be argueing. Like any other school when something happens, everyone watched in case it was something big.

"I don't care"  Alex snapped.

He was angry mostly at himself for not protecting her. He knew from anyone elses perspective he seemed overprotective with anger issues but he had witnessed things, he had been forced to watch Skye get abused. He didn't want to ever see her get hurt like that again and he wanted to make sure no one came close to hurting her in any way.

Nico decided to go and see if his siblings were okay which caught everyone's attention. They were all thinking why one of the most popular students was going over to three first years.

"Is everything okay" he asked them.

"Everything is fine" Alex replied.

"Clearly. If something has happened you can tell me and I'll sort it"   Nico said.

"Nothing is wrong. Alex is just venting about teachers" James tried.

"Well okay but if you need anything come find me" he said.

Nico recognised how protective Alex was and he saw how angry he truly was but he respected their privacy so didn't push for anwsers.

One thing he knew for certain though, Alex was exactly like Lorenzo.

He was only 14 yet Nico saw how similar the two were.

What he didn't know was Alex's childhood was spent protecting his siblings, he had to grow up fast, he had never had time to act like a kid.

Ok so I've been thinking of a redemption arc for Marco but I keep making him worse. I did delete a few paragraphs because I made him really bad but then gave him a redemption paragraph. Anyway  I wanted him worse than most 'xanders' but maybe I'll actually give him a redemption soon.

Also I just want to point out before you start shipping the triplets e.g Skye and Theo. They will be friends but nothing more. There won't be any relationships with the triplets as they have been abused way to much for relationships to even be considered.
