Tom had mortgaged the villa to the bank and gotten a loan to hold this grand banquet. He had also invited- many journalists to flaunt the Kane family’s glory and attract potential business partners. But now, everything was messed up!

The journalists didn’t care if the Kane family was embarrassed. They happily aimed their cameras at the exam papers on the bulletin boards and snapped away.

One journalist remarked, “Haha! I thought today’s news was just run of the mill, but we have something to write about now.”

How did you end up copying his answer word for word?” Myra appeared worried and concerned for Meredith. Still, her words actually confirmed that Meredith had cheated.

They thought a prodigy had finally come to Quantum after decades, only to find out that she had cheated. The genius student was a failure, and none of the teachers who had marked her papers detected anything wrong. It was a colossal disaster.

The Kane family was embarrassed/but Quantum Academy felt even more humiliated. Therefore, Meredith had to explain herself, as it concerned the school’s reputation.

Meredith was flabbergasted and speechless when she saw everyone’s gaze fixed on her. Still, no one had answered her question about Seth yet. She also felt utterly floored that Tom didn’t even bother to clarify with her and immediately believed that she had cheated.

A handsome boy with sharp, elegant features and long legs walked over, his thick brows furrowed impatiently.

When Tom saw Seth, he immediately greeted Seth with a bow. Regardless of whether the banquet had gone awry, he had to maintain a good relationship with the Creed family.

“Seth, you’re finally here. This girl cheated, copied your answers, and tarnished the school’s reputation. Hurry up and expel her from Quantum Academy!” a student said while pointing at Meredith.

He thought that a country bumpkin from the sticks was unattractive and unsophisticated… He didn’t expect her to be so attractive. But no matter how beautiful, she was just a pretty face!

When he arrived at the school gate, a student told him that Meredith had cheated and copied his answers, which were posted on the school bulletin board. That was why he had rushed over. He had particular test papers that couldn’t see the light of day!

Seth nodded. He had an arrogant and disdainful expression.

“What are you saying? Of course, Seth answered the test paper on his own. Who else could have answered it for him?” The other students were annoyed at Meredith’s question. “Seth has always been Quantum’s top student. If you cheated, just admit it. Don’t act like you’re innocent.”

Seth didn’t defend himself. He went to the bulletin board and carefully examined Meredith’s test paper. Their problem–solving methods and the essays were almost identical. Only their handwriting differed.

It seemed that Seth had been worried for nothing. He tore down the test papers angrily and asked Meredith in a displeased manner, “Where did you get these test papers?”

Tom was even more confident that Meredith had cheated when he saw how livid Seth was. He truly regretted his impulsive decisions yesterday! Not only did he embarrass the Kane family, but he also potentially provoked the Creed family!

“Seth, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have shown Meredith the test papers you lent me without asking. I really didn’t expect her to do this. I’m sorry… Myra apologized as the rims of her eyes reddened. Her pitiful appearance truly evoked everyone’s sympathy.
