Back at Alastorâs company, as soon as Anastasia entered the company, she was stopped by the receptionist. âSorry, Mrs. Lopez. Mr. Lopez said you are not allowed in.â
Standing still. Anastasia found herself having difficulty breathing.
She contemplated, âHas Alastor grown so distrustful of me? A divorce really shows oneâs true character. Is Alastor planning to have a complete falling-out with me?â
âMrs. Lopez.â
Seeing that Anastasia insisted on walking into the company, the receptionist called the security guard over nervously.
âThave Alastorâs baby in my belly. If anything happens to the baby, you guys will bear responsibility for it.â Anastasia spoke in a deep voice. She knew the baby wouldnât survive at all, but now she had to use it as leverage.
âMrs. Lopez, please donât make things difficult for us. The security guard was in a dilemma.
Anastasia ignored him, pushed him away, and went straight into the elevator.
She wanted to see what Alastor was trying to do.
âAlastor, she made a mistake first. Why do you have to leave a marriage with nothing?â
Anastasia pushed open the door of Alastorâs office and saw Felicia pounce on Alastor.
Alastorâs expression darkened. It was unclear if he was angry. However, it was obvious that the two were unscrupulous.
Anastasia took an ambiguous photo of them with her phone. She leaned against the door with a pale face. âYou guys canât wait another day?â
Anastasiaâs voice was slightly hoarse, and she tried to make herself look less pathetic.
Felicia snorted and directly sat on Alastorâs lap, hugging him. âThereâs no such thing as first come, first served in romance. Morcover, Iâm actually the one who appeared first. When I got together with Alastor, we were still teenagers deeply in love. You are just a latecomer.â
Anastasia didnât say anything, as she thought, âDoes the romance in oneâs youth really wield such profound influence?â
With Alastorâs personality, he wouldnât have done this openly if he didnât love Felicia deeply.
âGrandma called me and asked us to go home for dinner tonight.â Anastasiaâs voice was calm as if she didnât feel anything.
Alastor pushed Felicia away and replied in a deep voice, âGot it.â
Andrea was probably the only person Alastor truly cared about.
Since Christian and his lover moved to Huxville, Alastor grew up with his grandparents.
After Maverick died, Alastor only listened to his grandmother, and he didnât have a close relationship with his mother.
âDo you want to bring Felicia with you?â Anastasia asked generously with a faint smile. However, her words were ironic.
She was suggesting to bring the mistress to see Andrea.
âAnastasia, donât go too far.â As expected, Alastorâs expression changed as he thought Anastasia was threatening him.
In the Lopez family, no one acknowledged Anastasiaâs identity. Only Andrea treated Anastasia well.
Alastor also cared about Andrea the most.
âMy and Feliciaâs babies are all Grandma Andreaâs great-grandchildren. Itâs good for them to meet the elders, isnât it?â Anastasia sat on the couch to hide her shaky legs.
Alastor frowned and walked to Anastasia. âAnastasia, Grandma is in poor health. Youâd better not say anything before the divorce is finalized.*
Anastasia smiled. âAre you seared now? Didnât the security guards downstairs prevent me from entering the company?â
Alastor was stunned and turned to look at Felicia instinctively.
Felicia looked guilty and lowered her head without saying anything.
Anastasia laughed sarcastically. Even if Felicia wanted to do this, she would need Alastorâs support.
Alastor didnât say anything. He just glanced at the time and motioned Anastasia to go home.
They would go to Andreaâs place for dinner every Friday night. It was their custom as long as they werenât on a business trip or meeting.
As the both of them walked out of the elevator, Alastor asked, âYou didnât drive?â
Anastasia sneered. âI came by taxi. Donât you drive?â
Alastor hesitated for a moment as if deliberately hiding something.
âDo we need to call a taxi?â Anastasia asked kindly.
Alastor didnât say anything and turned around to enter the parking lot.
Anastasia followed Alastor and wondered what was in his car.
âLet me clean the car first.â Alastor didnât want Anastasia to get close to the car.
âAre you guys playing so wildly? You guys couldnât even control yourselves in the car? Car playâ¦â
Anastasia followed after him. Even though she knew she would get hurt from seeing it, she still wanted to see what was in the car stubbornly.
Alastor frowned and shot Anastasia a meaningful look.
Anastasia had been too demure and sensible since she married him. She would never say such unrestrained words before.
âHuhâ¦â As Anastasia leaned against the front passengerâs door, she felt like she had been stabbed through her heart.
Felicia couldnât wait any longer and had pasted a sticker on the passenger seat to signify that it was her personal seat.
Anastasia hadnât divorced Alastor yet.
Besides, Feliciaâs personal belongings, lipstick, sunglasses, and hair tie were on the passenger seat.
There was even a whole box of unopened condoms.
