Chapter 83: Tyler's last day?

jakes secretWords: 22016

Jordan woke up early, stretching on the couch as the morning light peeked through the curtains. Today was supposed to be the last day of Tyler’s punishment, but as he sat up, he wasn’t sure if that was really going to happen. Over the past week, he had gotten used to taking care of Tyler—feeding him, tucking him in at night. What had started as a lesson had become something more. He wasn’t sure he wanted it to end.

The smell of bacon and pancakes drifted through the house, making his stomach grumble. Mrs. Faulkner and Miss Harper were already in the kitchen, chatting as they prepared breakfast. Jordan rubbed his eyes and stood up, stretching as he heard a familiar voice.

“Morning, Jordy!” Tyler chirped from his spot in the playpen. He sat there in his onesie, clutching his stuffed bunny, looking up at Jordan like this was the most normal thing in the world.

Jordan smirked. “Morning, squirt. Sleep good?”

Tyler nodded eagerly. “Mhm! Can we play after breakfast?”

Jordan hesitated. Today was the day Tyler was supposed to go back to being a regular teenager. No more playpen, no more onesies. But looking at Tyler now, he wasn’t sure the kid actually wanted that.

Miss Harper approached with a warm smile. “Well, look who’s up bright and early,” she said. “You ready for your last day of being the baby, Tyler?”

For a split second, Tyler’s smile wavered. “Yeah…” he mumbled, looking down at his bunny. “Last day.”

Jordan caught the hesitation. “You sure, bud?” he asked casually.

Tyler glanced up, eyes filled with uncertainty. “Do I have to stop?” he asked softly.

The room fell silent. Mrs. Faulkner and Miss Harper exchanged glances, but neither said a word.

Jordan knelt beside the playpen. “Well… the whole thing was a punishment, remember?” he said carefully. “You were supposed to learn a lesson.”

Tyler fidgeted with his bunny’s ears. “I know… but… I kinda like it.”

Jordan sighed, running a hand through his hair. He had seen this coming. Tyler wasn’t just playing along anymore—he actually wanted this. And if he was honest with himself, Jordan didn’t mind. He liked looking after Tyler. It gave him a sense of responsibility, something that made him feel needed.

Mrs. Faulkner finally spoke up. “Tyler, sweetie, this was never meant to be permanent. But if this is really what makes you happy… we can talk about it.”

Tyler’s eyes lit up. “Really?”

Miss Harper smiled. “Of course. No one’s forcing you to grow up too fast, kiddo.”

Jordan smirked. “So, what do you wanna do, squirt? Last day or not?”

Tyler thought for a moment, then grinned. “Can we still have pancakes first?”

Everyone laughed, and Jordan ruffled his hair. “Alright, pancakes first. Then, we’ll figure the rest out.”

As they sat at the table, Tyler waited patiently, looking at Jordan as he ate. Jordan glanced over and realized that Tyler was waiting to be fed. Miss Harper, meanwhile, fed Jake and Alex, who were happily eating their breakfast.

Jordan picked up the fork and sighed with a smile. "Alright, squirt, open up." He fed Tyler bite by bite, the warmth of the moment making it clear—this wasn’t really Tyler’s last day at all.

As breakfast continued, Mrs. Faulkner’s phone buzzed with a message. She checked it and looked up with a small smile. “Tyler, sweetie, your parents just texted. They’re coming home tonight.”

Tyler’s face fell slightly, but he nodded. “Oh… okay.”

Mrs. Faulkner then sent them the pictures and videos she had taken of Tyler over the past week. Moments later, she received a reply: How adorable! Sounds like he’s learned his lesson—and he’s really grown attached to Jordan… or should we say Jordy?

She chuckled and looked at Tyler. “Your parents think you’ve really learned your lesson. And they noticed how close you and Jordan have gotten.”

Tyler hesitated, then smiled. “Thanks… all of you.”

Jordan grinned and ruffled his hair again. “Now finish your pancakes before I eat ‘em for you.”

Tyler giggled, taking another bite as the family enjoyed their morning together, knowing that no matter what happened next, they would always be there for each other.

After breakfast is over Jordan cleans up Tyler and picks him up to get him ready for the day, as Jordan is carrying Tyler, Tyler begins to poop in his diaper.

Jordan paused mid-step, feeling the sudden warmth spread through Tyler’s diaper. He sighed, adjusting his hold on the boy. “Really, squirt? You couldn’t wait until I put you down?”

Tyler giggled, resting his head on Jordan’s shoulder. “Oops.”

Miss Harper, who had just finished wiping Jake’s face, glanced over with a smirk. “Looks like you’ve got a stinker on your hands.”

Jordan groaned but couldn’t help smiling. “Yeah, yeah. Come on, squirt, let’s get you changed.”

As he carried Tyler upstairs, he realized something—he didn’t mind this at all.

Jordan laid Tyler down on the changing mat and unfastened the diaper, immediately wrinkling his nose. “Boy, squirt, you really did a number on this one—you had a blowout,” he said, shaking his head with a chuckle.

Tyler giggled, kicking his feet playfully. “Told you it was oops.”

Jordan grabbed the wipes, working through the mess. “Yeah, yeah, some ‘oops’ that was.” He made quick work of cleaning Tyler up, tossing the messy diaper aside before slipping a fresh one on.

As he secured the tapes, he gave Tyler a light poke on the belly. “All done, stinker. Try not to do that again while I’m carrying you, alright?”

Tyler just grinned. “No promises, Jordy.”

Jordan rolled his eyes but couldn’t help smiling as he scooped Tyler back up. “Alright, let’s get you dressed and see what kind of trouble we can get into today.”

Jordan turned toward the door as Mrs. Faulkner knocked on the frame, holding up two pieces of clothing with a proud smile.

“Hey, you two, I’ve made you boys something,” she said, stepping inside. She held up a soft, knitted onesie with Ty-Ty stitched across the chest in bright, playful letters. In her other hand, she had a cozy sweater with Jordy embroidered in bold lettering.

Tyler’s eyes lit up with excitement. “That’s for me?!” he gasped, reaching out for the onesie.

Mrs. Faulkner chuckled. “Of course, sweetie. I thought you might like something special.”

Jordan raised an eyebrow as he looked at his sweater. “And I get one too, huh?” He smirked. “Guess I’m officially stuck with the nickname now.”

Mrs. Faulkner laughed. “I think it suits you.”

Tyler hugged the onesie against his chest. “I love it! Can I wear it now?”

Jordan ruffled his hair. “Yeah, let’s get you changed into your official Ty-Ty gear.”

Mrs. Faulkner smiled warmly. “You boys really have become close, haven’t you?”

Jordan glanced at Tyler, who was already wiggling excitedly, and smirked. “Yeah… guess we have.”

Jordan helped Tyler into his new Ty-Ty onesie, making sure it fit snugly before snapping it up. Tyler giggled, wiggling his toes as he admired the soft fabric.

Jordan then slipped on his own Jordy sweater, pulling it over his head and adjusting it. “Well, how do we look?” he asked, turning to Mrs. Faulkner with a smirk.

She smiled warmly. “Adorable. Absolutely adorable.”

Tyler grinned up at Jordan. “We match now!”

Jordan chuckled and patted his head. “Yeah, yeah, squirt. Guess we do.”

Miss Harper peeked into the room, chuckling at the sight. “You two look like a perfect pair.”

Tyler beamed. “Can we go play now, Jordy?”

Jordan rolled his eyes playfully. “Alright, alright, let’s go before you explode with excitement.”

Tyler giggled as Jordan scooped him up, carrying him toward the living room. Mrs. Faulkner watched them go, shaking her head with a knowing smile. These two had formed a bond that wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Mrs faulkner then pulls out her phone and calls tylers parents she tells them all about how attached Tyler and Jordan got,  how Jordan protected Tyler from a creep, and how much Jordan loves tyler.

Mrs. Faulkner smiled as she listened to Tyler’s parents on the other end of the call. “That’s very sweet of you both,” she said warmly. “I just wanted to keep you in the loop about how things have been going.”

Tyler’s mom chuckled. “It sounds like Jordan has really stepped up. And if Tyler’s that happy and comfortable, well… what kind of parents would we be to take that away from him?”

Tyler’s dad chimed in. “Honestly, if it’s up to the boys, and Jordan’s okay with it, we don’t see a reason to stop it. He’s safe, happy, and clearly has someone who looks out for him.”

Mrs. Faulkner nodded. “I’ll talk to them and see what they want. But I have to say, Jordan’s really taken to caring for Tyler. It’s like they were meant to be brothers.”

“That settles it, then,” Tyler’s mom said with a laugh. “Let the boys decide. If they’re happy, we’re happy.”

Mrs. Faulkner smiled. “I’ll let them know.”

As she hung up the call, she looked toward the living room, where Jordan was sitting on the floor, playing with Tyler, who was giggling happily in his Ty-Ty onesie. She knew, deep down, that their bond wasn’t just something temporary—it was something real, something special.

She walked over, sitting down beside them. “Boys, I just got off the phone with Tyler’s parents,” she said.

Jordan looked up, raising a brow. “Oh yeah? What’d they say?”

Mrs. Faulkner smiled. “They said it’s up to you two. If you both want to keep things as they are—Jordan taking care of Tyler like this—you can.”

Tyler’s eyes widened with excitement. “Really?!”

Jordan smirked, ruffling Tyler’s hair. “Guess that means you’re stuck with me, squirt.”

Tyler giggled and hugged Jordan tightly. “Best fake daddy ever!”

Jordan sighed with a grin, hugging him back. “Yeah, yeah… don’t get all mushy on me.” As a tear rolled down his cheek.cheeks.

Mrs. Faulkner chuckled. “I’ll take that as a yes?”

Tyler nodded enthusiastically. Jordan rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide his smile. “Yeah, I guess so.”

Mrs. Faulkner smiled warmly. “Then it’s settled.”

Jake and Alex ran over, eyes wide with curiosity as they looked at Jordan’s new Jordy sweater and Tyler’s Ty-Ty onesie.

"Hey, no fair!" Jake pouted. "How come you guys get cool clothes and we don’t?"

Alex crossed his arms. "Yeah! We want some, too!"

Mrs. Faulkner chuckled. "Oh, don’t you boys worry. I had a feeling you’d say that." She reached into her knitting basket and pulled out two more onesies—one with Jakey stitched across the front and another with Lex on it.

Jake and Alex’s faces lit up with excitement. "Whoa! These are awesome!" Alex cheered as he grabbed his sweater.

Jake hugged his tightly. "Thanks, Mrs. Faulkner!"

She smiled. "Of course, sweethearts. I made them with love."

Jordan smirked as he helped Jake and alex adjust their onesies. "Well, guess we’re all matching now."

Tyler clapped happily. "Now we’re all cozy!"

Mrs. Faulkner laughed. "That’s right. My little crew of boys, all taken care of."

Jake and Alex quickly put on their sweaters, grinning at each other. "Now we just need to do something fun," Alex said.

Jordan ruffled Tyler’s hair. "Well, what do you guys wanna do?"

Tyler looked up with a bright smile. "Can we play a game?"

Jake nodded. "Yeah! Let’s do something together!"

Mrs. Faulkner beamed as she watched them. No matter how different they were, they were all still just kids at heart, enjoying the warmth of family.

As Jake and Alex stood there in their new onesies, their expressions suddenly changed. Jake’s face turned red as he shifted uncomfortably, while Alex froze in place, looking surprised.

Jordan raised an eyebrow. "Uh… you guys okay?"

Jake hesitated before mumbling, "Uh… I think we just went…"

Alex looked down at himself, then at Jake, then back at Jordan. "Yeah… we both did."

Tyler giggled, clapping his hands. "Now you need a change too!"

Miss Harper, who had been watching from the doorway, sighed with a knowing smile. "Well, looks like Jordan’s got his hands full today."

Jordan groaned playfully, rubbing his temples. "Man, I signed up to take care of one squirt, not three."

Mrs. Faulkner chuckled. "Looks like the Faulkner boys are all in need of some looking after today."

Jake and Alex blushed but laughed, realizing they were in the same boat as Tyler now. Jordan smirked and shook his head. "Alright, you two, guess it’s changing time. Let’s go."

Tyler grinned. "Welcome to the club!"

Jordan got the boys changed and brought them back down to see Mrs faulkner and miss harper with their purses, Mrs faulkner said we are going to the Walmart to get a few things can you watch the boys Jordan as the security probably still doesn't want to see you after last time with a small chuckle.

Jordan smirked, rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah, probably a good idea. I think the security guy still has nightmares about me."

Miss Harper chuckled. "We won’t be long. Just keep an eye on these three, and don’t let them get into too much trouble."

Mrs. Faulkner added, "There’s snacks in the fridge if they get hungry, and their toys are in the living room. We’ll be back soon."

As the front door shut behind them, Jordan turned to see Jake, Alex, and Tyler all grinning at him.

"So," Jake said mischievously, "what are we gonna do while they’re gone?"

Jordan folded his arms and smirked. "Oh, I don’t know… maybe we just sit quietly and read a nice book?"

The boys groaned.

"Or," Jordan continued, grinning, "we could build the ultimate pillow fort and have a battle royale!"

Tyler jumped up excitedly. "Fort! Fort!"

Jake and Alex cheered as well, and within moments, the boys were scrambling to grab pillows, blankets, and whatever they could find to construct the biggest fort the Faulkner house had ever seen.

Jordan watched them with a smile. Yeah, he thought, this is exactly where I’m meant to be.

The boys grab every blanket and pillow in the house and bring them all to Jordan, they all giggle as Jordan build them a massive pillow fort.

Jordan stood back and admired his masterpiece. The massive pillow fort covered almost the entire living room, draped over the playpen, the couches, and even partially over the TV. The boys giggled excitedly, crawling under the soft tunnels and fluffing up the pillows to make their little hideout even cozier.

Jake popped his head out from one of the blanket flaps. "This is the best fort ever!"

Alex nodded eagerly. "Yeah! We should live in here forever!"

Tyler, sitting snugly in the center with his stuffed bunny, clapped his hands. "Fort kingdom!"

Jordan laughed, flopping onto a pile of cushions. "Alright, knights of the fort, what’s next? Do we guard it from invaders, or do we feast on some snacks?"

"Snacks!" all three boys cheered in unison.

Jordan chuckled. "Alright, alright, I’ll grab something. You three hold down the fort while I raid the kitchen."

As he got up, Tyler grabbed his sleeve. "Hurry back, Jordy!"

Jordan smirked, ruffling Tyler’s hair. "You got it, squirt."

As he headed toward the kitchen, he couldn’t help but feel a warm sense of belonging.

Jordan crawled back into the fort, balancing the snacks and bottles in his arms. “Alright, feast time!” he announced, setting everything down in the center of the fort. The boys eagerly crawled over, their eyes lighting up at the selection.

Tyler reached for a jar of baby food. “What flavor?” he asked, tilting his head.

Jordan smirked and read the label. “Looks like… bananas and strawberries.”

Tyler clapped. “Yummy!”

Jake and Alex each grabbed a bottle of apple juice, taking big sips while snuggling into the pillows. Jordan popped open a bag of chips for himself and leaned back against the soft fort walls.

As they all sat there, munching and sipping, Tyler leaned against Jordan’s side, sighing happily. “I like fort days.”

Jordan chuckled, draping an arm around Tyler. “Yeah, squirt, me too.”

The fort was filled with the sounds of quiet munching, occasional giggles, and the glow of the TV barely peeking through the blankets. It was peaceful—just them, no worries, no rush to change anything. Just a group of brothers enjoying their time together.

Tyler said can we watch suopynatural in his baby voice, Jake and Alex said yeah supernatural,

Jordan chuckled, shaking his head as he grabbed the remote. "Alright, squirt, but it's Supernatural, not Soupynatural."

Tyler giggled, snuggling into Jordan’s side. "Soooopynatural!" he repeated in his baby voice, making Jake and Alex burst into laughter.

Jordan rolled his eyes playfully and scrolled through the streaming service. "Fine, fine. One episode, but if you guys get scared, don’t come crying to me.”

Jake smirked. "We never get scared."

Alex nodded confidently. "Yeah, we’re tough."

Jordan smirked. "Uh-huh, sure." He selected an episode and leaned back as the familiar opening theme played. The boys huddled together under the blankets, their eyes glued to the screen.

Tyler, still curled up against Jordan, sucked on his bottle of apple juice as the episode started. “Ooooh, ghosties!” he whispered excitedly.

Jordan just laughed, shaking his head. This wasn’t exactly how he expected the day to go, but honestly? He wouldn’t have it any other way.

As the episode played, the boys watched intently, giggling at the goofy yet determined Ghostfacers crew as they bumbled their way through hunting the supernatural.

Tyler clapped his hands. “Ghosty-facers!” he cheered in his baby voice, making Jordan chuckle.

Jake smirked. “Man, these guys are kinda dumb but kinda cool.”

Alex nodded. “Yeah, they’re not as good as Sam and Dean, but they try.”

Jordan stretched and yawned as the credits rolled. “Alright, you little gremlins, that’s one episode. Time for a break.”

Tyler pouted. “Aww, but Jordy, ghost-facers!”

Jordan ruffled his hair. “Yeah, yeah, maybe later, squirt. We still gotta clean up before Mrs. Faulkner and Miss Harper get back, or we’ll all be in trouble.”

Jake and Alex groaned, but they knew he was right. The boys all climbed out of the fort, their bellies full of snacks and juice, still giggling about the episode.

As they started cleaning up, Tyler tugged on Jordan’s sleeve. “Jordy?”

Jordan looked down. “Yeah, squirt?”

Tyler smiled up at him. “That was the best episode ever.”

Jordan smirked. “Yeah, yeah, now get to work, you little troublemaker.”

Tyler giggled and got to helping, humming the Ghostfacers theme under his breath as they all worked together.

As they were in the middle of cleaning miss harper came in...

Miss Harper stood in the doorway, hands on her hips, surveying the massive yet partially dismantled pillow fort that still covered most of the living room.

"What the…?" she trailed off, raising an eyebrow.

Jordan froze mid-pillow toss, a guilty grin creeping onto his face. “Uh… surprise?”

Tyler, Jake, and Alex all looked up at her with big, innocent eyes.

Miss Harper sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “We were only gone for 2 hours."

Jake shrugged. “To be fair, it was way bigger before we started cleaning.”

Alex nodded. “Yeah, you should’ve seen it! It covered almost the whole living room.”

Tyler giggled. “Jordy made it the best fort ever!”

Miss Harper shook her head, trying to keep a straight face. “Well, you boys better finish what you started before Mrs. Faulkner comes in and really has something to say.”

Jordan gave her a salute. “Yes, ma’am.”

Miss Harper smirked. “Good. Now, carry on,my wayward sons.”

The boys all laughed, and with renewed energy, they went back to work, determined to get the house back in order before Mrs. Faulkner walked through that door.

Before they knew it, the front door swung open, and Mrs. Faulkner stepped inside, carrying several Walmart bags in each hand. She took one look at the half-dismantled pillow fort, the scattered blankets, and the boys frozen mid-cleanup, and let out a small sigh.

“I knew I should’ve been worried when I left you boys alone,” she said, shaking her head with an amused smirk.

Jordan quickly stood up, trying to act casual. “We were, uh… just about to finish cleaning up.”

Mrs. Faulkner raised an eyebrow. “Uh-huh. And I’m sure this had nothing to do with you trying to build the biggest fort known to mankind?”

Tyler giggled, hugging his stuffed bunny. “It was the best fort ever!”

Jake and Alex both nodded eagerly. “It was huge!”

Mrs. Faulkner chuckled. “Well, I hope you enjoyed it, because you are cleaning it all up.” She set the bags down on the table and then reached inside one, pulling out two new matching onesies. “And before you say anything, Jake and Alex, I didn’t forget about you two.”

Jake and Alex’s eyes lit up as they ran over. “No way! We got onesies too?”

Mrs. Faulkner held them up with a smile. “Of course. I wasn’t going to let you two be left out after seeing how jealous you were.”

Jordan smirked, crossing his arms. “Great. Now I’ve got three squirtlings to take care of.”

Tyler beamed, hugging Jordan’s leg. “Jordy’s the best!”

Mrs. Faulkner smiled warmly. “Alright, you boys finish up in here, and then we’ll see about getting you all dressed in your new outfits. Oh, and Jordan?”

Jordan looked up. “Yeah?”

Mrs. Faulkner handed him a small bag with a wink. “Got you a surprise too.”

Curious, Jordan peeked inside and grinned when he saw a brand-new, soft blanket with his name embroidered on the corner.

“Looks like everyone gets a little something today,” Mrs. Faulkner said.

The boys cheered, and with newfound excitement, they quickly finished cleaning up, eager to see what the rest of the day had in store.
