A Cozy Afternoon

With the pillow fort finally cleaned up and the new onesies distributed, the boys wasted no time getting comfortable again. Tyler, Jake, and Alex excitedly slipped into their fresh outfits—Jake’s was navy blue with his name stitched in bright green, while Alex’s was deep red with his name embroidered in gold. Tyler, of course, proudly wore his “Ty-Ty” onesie, looking as happy as ever.

Jordan, meanwhile, wrapped himself in his new blanket, lounging on the couch with a satisfied smirk. “Alright, now that we’re all cozy, what’s next?”

Tyler hopped onto the couch beside him. “Can we watch more Soopynatural?” he asked in his baby voice, clutching his stuffed bunny.

Jake and Alex eagerly nodded. “Yeah, another episode!”

Jordan chuckled, shaking his head. “Man, you guys are really hooked now, huh?” He grabbed the remote and flicked through the streaming options. “Fine, but only one more. Then we gotta do something else. Don’t want you all turning into couch potatoes.”

Just as he was about to hit play, Mrs. Faulkner called from the kitchen. “Boys, come in here for a snack first!”

Without hesitation, Jake and Alex bolted toward the kitchen, their onesie-covered feet barely making a sound against the floor. Tyler reached up, waiting for Jordan to pick him up.

Jordan sighed dramatically but smiled as he lifted Tyler into his arms. “You’re getting spoiled, you know that?”

Tyler grinned and nuzzled into Jordan’s shoulder. “Mhm.”

When they entered the kitchen, they saw Mrs. Faulkner setting out plates of apple slices, peanut butter crackers, and small cups of juice. Miss Harper smiled as she arranged the snacks neatly.

“Thought you boys could use something healthy after all that excitement,” Mrs. Faulkner said with a wink.

Jordan smirked. “What, no baby food for Ty-Ty?”

Tyler gasped, covering his mouth. “Nooo, no baby food!”

Mrs. Faulkner chuckled. “I think he’s earned a break from that today.”

Jake and Alex giggled as they dug into their snacks, and Tyler happily took a peanut butter cracker, munching on it while still sitting in Jordan’s lap.

As they ate, Mrs. Faulkner leaned against the counter, watching them with a soft smile. “You know,” she said, “I talked to your parents again, Tyler.”

Tyler blinked up at her. “You did?”

She nodded. “They told me they’ve seen how much you’ve grown attached to Jordan, and they don’t want to take that away from you. So, they said… if you and Jordan both want, you can keep this up as long as it makes you happy.”

Tyler’s eyes widened. “Really?”

Jordan paused mid-bite, looking at Mrs. Faulkner. “Wait… seriously?”

She smiled. “It’s up to you two.”

Tyler turned to Jordan, his eyes filled with hope. “Jordy?”

Jordan sighed, looking down at the kid in his lap. He had spent the past week taking care of Tyler, looking out for him, protecting him… and somewhere along the way, he’d started to enjoy it. He couldn’t imagine going back to the way things were before.

He ruffled Tyler’s hair and smirked. “Guess that means I’m stuck with you, huh?”

Tyler giggled and hugged Jordan tightly. “Yay! Jordy forever!”

Jake and Alex clapped, cheering. “Ty-Ty and Jordy forever!”

Mrs. Faulkner and Miss Harper exchanged knowing smiles, watching the boys enjoy the moment.

Jordan chuckled, shaking his head. “Alright, alright, enough with the mushy stuff. Let’s finish up and get back to our show before I change my mind.”

The boys quickly finished their snacks, and as they headed back to the living room, Jordan couldn’t help but smile to himself. Maybe this wasn’t how he thought things would go, but… he was okay with that.

Somehow, this just felt right.

After the boys finished their snacks and settled back into the living room, Jordan pulled out his phone. He knew he needed to have a conversation with his parents about everything that had happened. He took a deep breath and dialed their number.

After a few rings, his mom picked up. “Hey, sweetheart! How’s everything going?”

Jordan glanced at Tyler, who was curled up beside him, clutching his bunny and happily sipping his bottle of apple juice. He smiled. “Hey, Mom. Everything’s good, actually. I just… wanted to tell you something.”

“Oh?” His mom sounded curious. “What is it?”

Jordan shifted on the couch. “I’ve decided to, uh… keep this whole thing with Tyler going. He’s really attached to me, and honestly, I don’t mind taking care of him. I think it’s what’s best for him right now.”

There was a pause on the other end of the line before his dad’s voice came through. “That’s a big decision, son.”

“I know,” Jordan admitted. “But it feels right. He’s happy, and I kinda… like looking out for him.”

His mom’s voice softened. “Jordan, we are so proud of you. Taking care of someone else, especially at your age, is a huge responsibility. But if this is what you want to do, we support you.”

Jordan let out a relieved sigh. “Thanks, Mom.”

His dad chuckled. “Well, you’re gonna need all the help you can get. A 15-year-old raising a 15-year-old baby? That’s a lot of work.”

Jordan smirked. “Tell me about it.”

“We’ll send you some money to help out,” his mom added. “Diapers, food, supplies—whatever you need. Just let us know, okay?”

Jordan’s eyes widened. “Wait, really?”

His dad laughed. “Of course. You’re stepping up in a big way, kid. We want to make sure you have the support you need.”

Jordan felt a wave of gratitude. “Thanks, guys. That really means a lot.”

“Anytime, sweetheart,” his mom said warmly. “Now, you take good care of that little guy, alright?”

Jordan glanced at Tyler, who was now dozing off against his side, his bottle half-empty in his hands. He smiled. “Yeah. I will.”

As he hung up, he felt a deep sense of reassurance. He wasn’t in this alone. His parents had his back.

He looked down at Tyler and chuckled softly. “Looks like we’re in this for the long run, squirt.”

Tyler stirred slightly, mumbling in his sleep. “Jordy…”

Jordan shook his head with a grin and pulled a blanket over both of them.

Yeah. This felt right.

Jordan carefully picked Tyler up, making sure not to wake him as he shifted in his arms. The boy barely stirred, letting out a soft sigh as he snuggled closer to Jordan’s chest.

Jake and Alex lounging in the play pen, peeked up from their blankets. “Where are you taking him?” Jake asked, his voice quiet.

“Just putting him down for a nap,” Jordan replied.

Alex smirked. “Aww, the baby’s all tuckered out.”

Jordan rolled his eyes playfully. “You two aren’t far behind. Don’t get too cocky.”

The two giggled before turning back to their cartoons. Jordan carried Tyler up the stairs, his grip firm but gentle, and pushed open the door to the bedroom. The room was softly lit from the sunlight filtering through the curtains, creating a calm, peaceful atmosphere.

He walked over to the crib, gently lowering Tyler onto the plush mattress. As soon as he settled, Tyler instinctively reached for his stuffed bunny and pulled it close. Jordan chuckled, adjusting the blanket over him.

“Sleep tight, squirt,” he murmured, brushing a stray lock of hair from Tyler’s face.

Just as he turned to leave, Tyler’s eyes fluttered open slightly. “Jordy…?” he mumbled sleepily.

Jordan smiled. “Yeah, bud?”

“Stay?” Tyler asked in a barely audible whisper.

Jordan hesitated for a second before nodding. “Alright, just for a little bit.”

He pulled up the rocking chair beside the crib, watching as Tyler drifted back to sleep, his breathing slow and steady. Jordan leaned back, letting himself relax for the first time all morning.

As he listened to the quiet rhythm of Tyler’s breathing, he couldn’t help but think about how much had changed in just a week. What started as a punishment had turned into something more—a bond neither of them wanted to break.

And Jordan was okay with that.

With a soft sigh, he leaned back in the chair, closing his eyes for just a moment, knowing that when Tyler woke up, they’d figure out the rest of their day together.

For now, though, it was nap time.

Meanwhile down in the living room Mrs faulkner says ok boys it's your nap time tooJake and Alex groaned in unison.

"But we're not even tired!" Jake protested, flopping back onto their blankets.

Mrs. Faulkner gave them a knowing smile. "Mhm, sure. But I know two little boys who have had a very busy morning and need their rest."

Miss Harper chimed in, crossing her arms. "And if you two want your own special sweaters like Tyler and Jordan, you’ll listen to Mrs. Faulkner and go lay down without a fuss."

That got their attention. The boys exchanged a look before sighing in defeat.

"Fine," Jake muttered

Alex "But only if we can have a story first."

Mrs. Faulkner chuckled. "Deal." She picked up a nearby book, settling into the rocking chair while Miss Harper tucked the boys in with their favorite blankets.

As she began to read, the boys snuggled in, their eyes growing heavier with each word. Upstairs, Jordan watched over Tyler, who was already curled up in his crib, sucking his thumb lightly in his sleep.

Jordan smiled to himself. This had started as just a lesson, but it had turned into something much more. And he wouldn’t change a thing.

Mrs faulkner gave the boys their snacks and told Jordan "Jake and Alex have therapy tomorrow would you and Tyler like to join us"

Jordan helped set the plates down as he considered Mrs. Faulkner’s question. “Yeah, I think we’d like that,” he said, glancing at Tyler, who was happily munching on a cracker.

Tyler looked up at the mention of his name, tilting his head. “Join for what?” he asked in his soft baby voice.

Mrs. Faulkner smiled. “Jake and Alex have therapy tomorrow, sweetheart. I was asking if you and Jordan wanted to come along.”

Tyler hesitated, then looked at Jordan. “Will you be there?”

Jordan ruffled his hair. “Of course, squirt. We’ll go together.”

Tyler nodded, satisfied. “Okay!”

Mrs. Faulkner chuckled. “Alright then, it’s settled. We’ll leave in the morning.” She gave Jordan a knowing smile. “I think it might be good for both of you.”

Jordan shrugged but couldn’t help but agree. Maybe it would be good for Tyler… and maybe for him, too.

After their snacks the boys were put in the play pen to play till miss harper comes back.

The boys giggled and played in the playpen, stacking blocks and rolling toy cars back and forth. Tyler clung to Jordan’s side, occasionally holding up a toy for him to play with too. Jake and Alex were busy making a little tower out of stuffed animals, laughing when it tumbled over.

Mrs. Faulkner sat nearby, knitting, keeping a watchful eye on them while they played. Every now and then, she glanced at the clock, wondering when Miss Harper would return.

After a while, the front door finally opened, and Miss Harper walked in, looking refreshed from her time out. “Well, well, looks like I missed a party in here,” she teased, setting her purse down.

Tyler gasped excitedly, reaching out for her. “Miss Hawper!” he called in his baby voice.

She chuckled, walking over and crouching beside the playpen. “Did you boys have fun while I was gone?”

Jake and Alex nodded eagerly. Jordan smirked. “Yeah, we had snacks, and watched Supernatural.”

Miss Harper raised an eyebrow. “Sounds like a pretty eventful day.” She reached over and gave Tyler’s hair a playful ruffle. “And how’s my little guy doing?”

Tyler giggled. “I missed you!”

Miss Harper’s expression softened as she smiled. “I missed you too, kiddo.”

Mrs. Faulkner set down her knitting and stretched. “Now that you’re back, we were thinking of winding down for the night soon. Maybe a story before bed?”

The boys all perked up at the suggestion. Jordan leaned against the playpen, grinning. “Sounds like a plan.”

Miss harper than said we'll before story and bed how about some dinner I brought back KFC for the adults and McDonald's for the little ones,

Mrs. Faulkner chuckled as she stood up. "Well, that certainly sounds like a treat. Thank you, Miss Harper."

Jake and Alex cheered while Tyler bounced excitedly in the playpen, his little hands clapping. "Mickey D's!" he repeated in his baby voice.

Jordan smirked, lifting Tyler out of the playpen. "Alright, squirt, let's get you in your high chair."

Tyler wrapped his arms around Jordan's neck as he carried him over to the table. Miss Harper set out the food, handing the McDonald’s meals to the boys while she and Mrs. Faulkner unwrapped their KFC.

Jake and Alex eagerly opened their Happy Meals, pulling out their toys before diving into their nuggets and fries. Tyler, however, sat patiently, looking at Jordan with wide eyes.

Jordan sighed with a small grin. "Alright, alright, I gotcha." He opened Tyler’s Happy Meal and started feeding him bites of his nuggets.

Miss Harper and Mrs. Faulkner watched with fond smiles as the boys enjoyed their meal. "It’s really sweet how close you two have gotten," Miss Harper commented.

Jordan shrugged, wiping a bit of ketchup from Tyler’s cheek. "Yeah, well… someone’s gotta take care of the 'little' guy."

Tyler leaned into Jordan, happily chewing his food. "Best big bro ever," he mumbled through a mouthful of fries.

Everyone laughed as they continued their meal, the warm, cozy atmosphere of the home making it clear that no matter what, they had become a family.

After dinner was over Jordan said ok you three before story time does anyone need to use their diapers?

Jake and Alex shook their heads, but Tyler, still nestled in his high chair, squirmed a little before nodding shyly. Jordan chuckled and ruffled his hair.

"Alright, squirt, finish up if you gotta go," he said, standing up to start clearing the table. Mrs. Faulkner and Miss Harper exchanged amused glances as the boys finished their drinks.

Once everything was cleaned up, Jordan scooped Tyler up and patted his back. "Let’s get you changed before story time," he said, carrying him off to the nursery. Jake and Alex followed along, giggling as they climbed into their beds, waiting for Jordan to return.

A few minutes later, Jordan came back with Tyler, now fresh and clean in his onesie, holding his stuffed bunny close. He set him down in his crib before grabbing the storybook off the shelf.

"Alright, you little goofballs, get comfy," Jordan said as he sat down in the rocking chair, opening the book. "If you gave a mouse a cookie."

The boys settled in, listening intently as Jordan began to read, his voice calm and steady. Tyler snuggled under his blanket, eyes growing heavier with each word. Jake and Alex yawned, hugging their pillows as the warm, soothing atmosphere lulled them into relaxation.

By the time Jordan finished, all three boys were fast asleep. He closed the book quietly and stood up, tucking them in gently. Miss Harper peeked into the room and smiled.

"Looks like you did a good job, Jordy," she whispered.

Jordan smirked. "Yeah… they’re my little goofballs."

With one last glance at the sleeping boys, he turned off the light and softly shut the door, letting them drift into peaceful dreams.

Jordan sat on the couch and asked miss harper where she found the oversized high chairs for Tyler and the boys. Miss harper said oh those I knew of this store because of my cousins son is a tbdl.

Jordan raised an eyebrow. "TBDL?" he asked, leaning back on the couch.

Miss Harper chuckled. "Teen Baby/Diaper Lover. My cousin's son has been into it for years, so she found a place that specializes in furniture and supplies for older kids and teens who need or want that kind of stuff."

Jordan nodded slowly, processing that information. "Huh… makes sense. I was wondering where you managed to find high chairs big enough for them."

Miss Harper smiled. "I figured they’d come in handy, especially with how things have been going with Tyler. And now with Jake and Alex joining in, it doesn’t hurt to be prepared."

Jordan smirked. "Yeah, no kidding. Those three are a handful, but I gotta admit, I don’t mind taking care of them."

Miss Harper patted his shoulder. "You're doing a great job, Jordy. Not every 15-year-old would step up the way you have."

Jordan shrugged, but he couldn’t hide the small smile on his face. "Thanks. Guess it just feels right, y’know?"

Miss Harper nodded. "I do. And if this is something Tyler—and maybe even the other two—want to keep up with, it’s good they have someone like you looking out for them."

Jordan glanced toward the hallway, where the boys were fast asleep. He exhaled, a mix of exhaustion and contentment washing over him. "Yeah… I think this is just how things are meant to be."
