Chapter 6: 5.First day

Priya's POV

So today is my first day in my new school! I hope it goes well.

You know i am not scared but a bit nervous about how the students and the teachers will rest. Everything is fine.

What's the difference between Scared and nervous? And madam your logic is like a You are saying a chocolate shake with a lot of chocolates but it doesn't taste chocolatey.

What??? My mind is as dumb as me.

I shook my head.

I am all dressed up in my school dress and now I am just deciding in which hairstyle i will look good a pony tail or   2 pony or 2 braids.

Well there is no compulsion on these three hair styles in my school but in my previous school  in India it was 2 braids, but blue Hair band is must in here.

Let's make two Braids but I am too lazy to make them so I ran to my mom.

"Mom" I entered the kitchen.

"Yes Priya" she says without looking at me as she is making food

"Mom make my two Braids please"

"You can make it yourself"

"Yes i can but I don't want to look ugly on my first day itself"

"Okay go and sit on the dining table i will Bring your breakfast there, you will eat while i will braid your hairs"

"Okay mom"

I sit on the dining Table and just look around my surroundings as I have already packed my bag yesterday night itself after Watching the movie.

Meanwhile mom arrives, why don't I wear my Shoes??

I took my new Shocks and Shoes and wore them.

Do you get a different feeling when you wear a new dress for the first time?

"Priya come fast" mom Shouted

I sit on the table, eat my Paratha which she made and she braids my hair.

"Mom, what did you pack for me for lunch?"

"Fried rice"

"Wow!"

I am in the car with my mom who is driving it right now!

"Priya, don't panic on your first day and behave like a good girl and please i request don't blabber much"

"Yes mom obviously and how did you thought that i will panic, Priya is not equal to Panic, Priya is equal to-"

"Chillin"

I giggle "absolutely, you got that Darling" i tease her

"Behave Priya"

"What did I do?"

"I am your mom not your darling"

"But you don't call me as your darling so i have to call my dear mom as my precious Darling.... because i love you so much"

"Okay stop now, we reached"

I come out of the car

"All the best for your first day"

I smiled "thanks mom"

I take a deep breath! DVS i am coming.

I took a step in my school and now i am feeling nervous.

I walk in towards my class 9th C and my hands are sweating so much. My heart is beating very fast and i feel like vomiting.

Don't panic-my mind said

No i am not, Priya doesn't Panic

Yeah sure!

Calm down Priya calm- Bell rang

Run Priya, run!!!!!!!!!!

I run to my class and breathe heavily.

I take a deep breath! You can do it Priya.

"May i come in mam?" I asked as the teacher was taking attendance. She paused and looked at me through her spectacles examining me as if i am from another planet.

Not only her but even the students, some are talking to themselves while looking at me and the most i can hear is "is she a new student?"

Obviously i am an idiot.

"Yes, come in" mam finally said and i walked to her.

My heart beat is still fast.

"You are a new Admission?"

"Yes mam"

"What's your name?"

"Priya Ahuja"

"Okay so where did you come from? I mean where were you studying earlier?"

"I was Studying in Gravendor And Academics, USA"

"Oh so you are from USA"

"Umm no mam, i am Basically from India itself but My father took us with him for Two years for business purpose "

"Hmm good, so you settle down with someone in class"

I nod and turn towards the class and my eyes travel to find an empty seat.

"Umm mam can you help me" i said with a sheepish smile

She smiled "okay....you go and sit with Bhawna, over there on third bench"  she pointed out to a girl wearing specs, looking Cute in the First row, window side.

I moved to that seat and she smiled at me and I passed the same and sat along with her.

"Hi am Priya Ahuja"

"Hello, i am Bhawna Sinha"

"Nice to meet you"

"Nice to meet you too....so you came from the USA?"

"Yeah"

"So the USA is better than India?"

"Umm well USA is Different in its place and India is Different in itself. So both are good, yes It is more Developed than India but still I enjoy in here the most''

She smiled "so you must be missing your friends?"

"Obviously i do and it was really very hard for me to leave them but what can i do when it was my Dad's Decision"

She just smiled

"Umm how much work has been done? I mean in all the subject as i have to cover up with my work"

"Umm almost all the syllabus is done, only one or 2 Chapters are left in each subject then teachers will drop Test series on us every week or maybe every day!" She giggled in the end.

"Aa if you don't mind can you give me your notebooks today? I will return them after photocopy"

She thought for sometime and then said "i can give you those in which mam won't give us work"

"Okay no problem with me but can you give it to me if i will take permission from mam?"

"Yeah then I can but will you be able to understand my handwriting? I mean it's not that good" she smiled sheepishly at the end and I giggled.

"No worries i will manage, infact mine isn't that great"

She also laughed with me a bit.

Then I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around and saw that it was a boy.

"Umm Hi, i am Deep and this is my friend Karun"

"Hi"

"So how are you feeling here?" Karun asked

"Well it's nice"

"You are just saying because it's your first period" Deep laughed

"Ummm let's see the rest days as well"

"You don't know our class, it's like a fish market, just like our every teacher says" Kapil said

"Which class isn't?" I laughed

"So damn true" Bhawna said

"Okay now silent class," Teacher Shouted.

We all sat straight.

"Hey Bhawna" i whispered

"What?"

"What's her name BTW?"

"Anchal mam"

"Okay"

"Subject?"

"biology"

"Different teachers for different science subjects?"

"Yeah"

I nodded and she began to teach.

After 40 minutes the bell rang and many girls approached me.

I talked to them and smiled all the time because of which my cheeks were in pain.

First day Everyone is that formal kind of person.

Till the recess period i have been introducing myself to the teachers, which is a huge headache for me as i am a new spot light for them, they call me "new girl answer this, new girl answer that"

I mean like what the hell!! I am new, it doesn't mean that i will know every single thing ! You can ask your old student if they know better than me.

Now it's Recess and i am so much Glad for it.

"Priya let's go for Hand Wash" Bhawna said

"Yeah sure"

Both of us came out of the class and I walked along with her to the washroom but on my way I peeked in Class 10th but Nobody was in the class nor any bags. Where are they?

"Aa Bhawna!"

"Yes"

"Where is class 10th?"

"They have preparatory holiday for their Pre Boards that's why they won't come"

"Okay"

"Why did you ask?"

"Aaaa nothing just like that as i couldn't see any bag or something"

"Hmm, do your siblings also study here?" She asked

"No, i have an elder brother Aarav but he is studying in JSH college"

"Oh nice"

"Do you have any siblings in this school?"

"Yes, i have a Sister in 11th her name is Saumya"

"Then your complaint must reach her?"

She laughed "right and that's what sucks the most"

I laughed at her words

After washing our hands we head back to our Class.

Bhawna brought Cheese Sandwiches and so shared with me and I shared my Rice with her and even others, with others i mean Sakshi and Yashika, they sat in front of us.

I talked a lot with them and even Deep and Karun at moments. Their friends also came up to have some words with me.

After recess the scenario went the same with other periods as well, my intro, questions and all.

Now i am in the car with my mom, going back to my house.

"So how was your day?" She asked

"It was okay"

"You made friends?"

"Alot"

"That's really good"

"Mom i am so tired"

"When you will reach home, have a nap"

"Sure but now you stop the car at a ciber cafe or something so that i can have photocopy of the notebooks which i have"

"Yeah sure"

Photocopy took literally 1 whole hour till that hour I ate something from the food stall.

After reaching home i took a good long Shower and then slept. What a day it was.

At night Aarav Bhaiya and Dad came up to me and asked how my day was. I replied fine.

I spent some time with Dadaji and went to study as i am lagging behind in studies.

I don't know but i really wanted to meet Rahul today.
