"thank you for coming back Nidhi", Kabir's mom kissed her forehead and left the room leaving husband, wife and their child alone..Avani was already asleep so Nidhi  slowly made her sleep on the pillow.. but   the leg on which Avani slept became numb and when she was about to get up she felt she would fall down but two strong arms supported her..She looked at him and immediately lowered her eyes..But Kabir's eyes never left  her for a second.. He made her sit on the Couch and asked ," Are you okay??""Yeah I am fine ,little numbness that's it..""Try to rotate your feet, you will feel better and what about your sprained leg ", he squatted down and tried holding her feet to check the sprain.."Kabir , what are you doing?? please leave my feet..",Nidhi resisted.."Shhhhh, calm down,let me check", Kabir held her leg tightly..Swelling has reduced a little. Did you take medicine yesterday?? Kabir asked, checking her feet..Nidhi was lost in his handsome face.. there was a smile on  her lips while   admiring the features of the person she loves to the core."Are you listening?? "Getting no response from her, he asked, raising his head.She came to her senses when she heard his question..She immediately hid her smile and said ," yeah I took .."Nidhi stood up in a hurry and said," I will freshen up..""Your clothes are in our room.. Come I will support you..""I am fine, I can manage.. thank you.. she said and walked towards the door.""Nidhi, thank you for coming back", She heard his voice from behind..She stopped when she heard him and she nodded..She wanted to run away from him at this moment, being scared of getting caught by him any second. she walked out with a smile on her lips..Kabir thought she would say," I have come back only for Avani", but to his surprise she didn't.. he saw a glim ray  of hope of getting close to her.Nidhi opened the bedroom door and saw that everything in this room is the same except for the photos of Nandini.. All of her pics were replaced with Avani's..She didn't know why she felt happy seeing this.. She feels , she can claim to her heart  that this room belongs to her and someday Kabir will be hers. " Wait, Nidhi, what are you thinking?? control your feelings for him.  let him take initiative and propose to you once again,then think about it", her internal voice said..She took out her clothes from the wardrobe which were already  arranged by the maid and walked towards the bathroom to take a shower.When she came down to Avani's room she heard Kabir shouting on  his secretary," try to manage this time.. if I come everywhere ,why did I hire you people for.""Sir, but this time because of an accident all the workers have stopped working at the construction site.. Even though we have transferred the worker who met with an accident to the hospital on company's expenses they are saying they need more compensation.."But ,my daughter is sick. I cannot leave her and come to the construction site now.."Kabir ,I think you should go handle the thing , Avani has just taken the medicine and she is sleeping anyways and moreover I am here to take care of her.. If I feel there is any emergency I will call you.. ", Nidhi who heard about the accident responded..But you too have an office to attend? Kabir asked..I have applied for a leave as Avani is not well  so don't worry..Kabir's assistant was surprised to see Nidhi back.. He greeted her with a smile and was finally relieved ..  he knew his boss who roars  like  a Lion can be controlled by his lioness..Kabir agreed to Nidhi and walked out..His secretary thanked Nidhi for helping him and followed Kabir quietly..***When Kabir returned home it was evening and he straight away walked towards Avani's room..He saw mother and daughter giggling.."Daddy", Avani shouted seeing him and ran into his arms.."Is my baby fine?? ",Kabir checked her temperature on the forehead .She is fine,  the doctor said, she will be completely alright by tomorrow..He smiled at her and said, " thank you"..He felt his strength had come back.. He sat on the bed and made Avani sit beside him.Avani started  chatting with Kabir and Nidhi excused herself saying she will bring Coffee for him.When she returned back ,she heard Avani saying," Daddy, I think you should say sorry for hurting mom earlier ""yes beta ,I will in the night ok.. "" Night, why night?? Nidhi gulped her saliva imagining the night with him..Seeing her at the door and lost in thoughts, Kabir walked towards her, took coffee from her hands and asked," What are you thinking hmmmm?She quickly ran her mind and came up with an answer  ," I was thinking about the injured worker's family and what about him?? anything serious??".. Kabir smiled at her as he had seen through her lie but didn't expose her and said, "Nothing serious, his hand got fractured and he suffered minor injuries.. I have promised the  worker's family to bear all his expenses right from the hospital to medicines  after discharge and also assured them that he will get his daily wage too.."Nidhi felt relieved after hearing him.she admired the man who  looks cold outside but in fact he is good at heart..After dinner , Nidhi walked towards Avani's room.. checked her temperature ,gave her the medicine and asked her to close her eyes and go to sleep..She saw Kabir entering the room in his night clothes and sat on the other side of the bed.."I will make her sleep and  will sleep with her here, so you can take rest", Nidhi Slowly said.."But mommy, dad sleeps in my room whenever I am sick.. But today I will sleep with both mom and dad",Avani was happy..Nidhi was speechless when she heard her.. She thought she could escape tonight from being with him in the same room but her plan failed..Now she has to sleep with him on the same bed..She gulped her Saliva and lay down beside Avani and held her tightly as if she would be her saviour for tonight..Avani demanded a story and Nidhi had to read the story for her.. Kabir turned towards Avani and supported his head with his hand and was observing Nidhi quietly..She looked at him when she felt his gaze on her.. he was staring  at her without even blinking his eye.. Her heart was thumping heavily.. and very soon Avani slept listening to the story..To avoid his gaze she closed her eyes and pretended to fall asleep..Kabir smiled at her childish behaviour.. Little later when he confirmed that Nidhi had  also slept ,he kissed Avani's forehead and then Nidhi's.." Don't worry Nidhi, I will wait for the day till you completely accept me ..",he whispered..In fact, Nidhi actually slept but she is  a light sleeper and she felt Kabir coming near to her. She was awake but didn't open her eyes..but  heard every word that he said just now..She Slowly  turned to the other side when Kabir left her and a smile of satisfaction appeared on her lips..******Next day, she woke up early and went inside the kitchen to help Kabir's mom in preparing breakfast..Avani was a little weak because of fever so she prepared light food which would be easy for digestion..Kabir sat on the dining table for breakfast and his mom said, " Kabir, Nidhi prepared today's breakfast"..Kabir's gaze shifted towards her and saw her  quietly feeding Avani with patience. She looked at him when she felt her gaze on her.. " I hope the salt is appropriate enough this time", He teased her. She felt guilty for what she did that day with him." I am sorry  for what I did that day, but today it is in the right amount.. "I don't trust you, you eat it first then I will eat it..Nidhi sneered, took a spoon and took a bite of it.. " See , I ate it without changing my facial expressions.. which means the food is good."Kabir smiled and took the same spoon with which Nidhi had eaten just now and ate his breakfast..Nidhi who was watching him quietly understood he did this intentionally..She blushed at his act and a smile appeared on her lips .This act of hers didn't escape from his eyes as he was watching her without blinking his eye...Kabir's dad came out shouting at his mom, " My shirt buttons are broken , what will I wear now"..Why are you shouting, can't you wear the other one?? Kabir's mom said.." No I decided to wear this so just stitch the buttons", Kabir's dad ordered..Kabir's mom hit her forehead and said," you are becoming a child day by day" ..She came out with a needle and thread and started stitching buttons..After Breakfast, Kabir walked inside his room to get ready for office and Nidhi took Avani to her room.." Nidhi, Nidhi", She heard Kabir's voice.."Avani, looks like your dad needs something, I will just come", she walked inside their room..Kabir stood Infront of the mirror wearing a shirt and said," all my buttons are broken, sew them"Nidhi was surprised, She walked towards him and checked the buttons.. they all were in their place. " Which button, I cannot see any broken button".Kabir forcefully removed his button from the  shirt and said ," See now they are broken, sew them".Nidhi, understanding his actions, walked towards the cupboard, took out another shirt and said, " wear this"..Kabir nodded, wore it and forcefully took the buttons again.." Kabir ,are you mad, why are you doing this?"Don't you know why?? he asked She turned around to take another shirt from his wardrobe but stopped when she heard him," which ever shirt you take out I will keep on removing the buttons until you sew it "..Nidhi felt frustrated and  finally took out a needle and thread to fix shirt buttons..She was so close to him while stitching the buttons. her  strawberry shampoo smell was driving him crazy.." Ouch!! "He shouted"Did I hurt you with a needle ", there was worry on her face .."No, it hurts when you are angry at me.. so please don't be again.", He said, dragging her even closer with her waist...Nidhi was shocked by his sudden action..she tried to escape from him but his grip was tight and she was no match to his strength..She looked into his eyes and he looked into her..his lips came near  to  her ear and said, " I love you, and  will wait for you "..His breath on her ears gave her tickling sensation but  she was lost in his seductive voice.. He released her slowly, walked towards the door and said, " Bye take care "..Nidhi was stupefied by his action just now..
