Aadya's POV

I understood no one is actually busy or has forgotten you, it's just the matter of priority.

Laying on my bed, I caressed the pendant holding it close to my heart.

I could feel the warmth of the love and care this pendant holds.

It feels like it is reciting me what Rudraksha Bhaiya can't say. Bhaiya is not good with words, according to him, but his actions are damn.

But from where did he got this? I mean from where did the money came to him.

I immediately stood up from the bed and made my way towards his room.

I knocked for the third time and the door opened revealing Rudraksha Bhaiya.

“What happened, Aadu? All good?” He asked letting me inside.

“Bhaiya, I want to ask something” He looked at me confused.

“Where did you got the money for this pendant?” I asked leaning on the table.

“What will you do after learning about that? Hn” He questioned back.

“Bhaiya, I asked for the answer not the question. Answer ne straight ” I was sounding stern and strict.

“Aree....woh actually I got it from my pocket money ” He said smiling like a innocent cow.

While, I looked at him with shocked expression. How can he waste his pocket money just to fulfill my childish wish?

“Bhaiya, how can you? You saved it for your own work. That work was more important than this childish wish of mine. ” I controlled my urge to slap him for this dumb act.

He saved that money for his new business startup.

“Why are you scolding me? Didn't you liked it? ” He said in his gentle tone melting my anger.

“I am not scolding you. I didn't like it, I loved it, Bhaiya. But Bhaiya your dreams are more important than these. This could have been ignored or fulfilled later on.” I tried to make him understand the point.

“Arey.. What's so big in it? I'll save next time” He sounded so casual and carefree.

“Bhaiya, it is big. Because right now your dreams are more important. You did this to make me happy, right? But yk it is making me feel happy and guilty both. Bhaiya for sometimes prioritise yourself rather than anyone else. Everyone doesn't deserves your attention. Bhaiya for me just for a day, care about yourself, think for yourself. ”

I tried my best to make him understand his value in his life.

“I don't need to care about me because I know, I have my chota packet to care about me and look after me. Won't you?” He said cupping my cheeks.

“I will always and forever!” I said . He pulled me into a tight embrace.

I returned back to my room and kept the pendant safely. I pulled the comforter till my shoulders.

Tommorow, Avyansh and his family will be coming as Navaratri is going to start from day after tomorrow, so in evening the ladies will gather to apply henna on their hands.

I am feeling excited. Like, I don't know it's just my hormones or what.

But yes, I feel happy and more comfortable when he is around me.

Yes, I feel like he is the warmth, I am craving from years.

I feel loved and appreciated every moment, second, minute, hour and days with him.

I know he is my senior and my brother's bestfriend too but I just can't ignore my newly developed feelings for him.

I am not sure about it but one thing is there, I am confirmed about. I have a crush on him. Yes! Not crush but a huge crush on him.

I didn't realise it on my own. Zoya and Anisha are the one made me realise this. I believe them because they're more experienced.

But still I'll try to ignore these developing feelings because I know. In the end, I will be the one left heartbroken and alone.

I opened my eyes and picked up my phone to shut the alarm. It was 5 am right now.

Who the fuck will wake up this early? I don't know when did I slept thinking about Avyansh.

I again closed my eyes. Laziness consumed all over me. I slept again in deep slumber.

I heard a shrill yet familiar voice waking me up. “Aadu, wake up!”

“Yes Mumma!” I said getting up from the bed. I cleaned the bed and checked the time.

It was still 6:30 am but let it be. I did my morning business and came outside the shower.

I stood in front of my vanity. Today, I was wearing a Lavender Kurti paired with white pants.

The back of the kurti was deep but it wasn't backless. I did minimal makeup and left my hair open.

I walked outside the room and found mumma talking with bua.

Both of them looked at me and smiled. I went downstairs with them.

I was looking after the preparations of the evening henna of ladies.

“Aadu, will you do me a chotu sa favour today? Pleaseeee” Lakshi di said hugging me from behind.

“Di..first leave me or someone will get jealous. Now tell.” She made a face.

“Will you please write Prashant's name in my hand very, secretly!”

She made a baby face. Listening to her I was in a eww.

“No way...that looks so cringe. So nibbi typo di” I said.

“What??No!! Then I'm not gonna do that.” I laughed at her antics.

I saw Rudraksha Bhaiya talking to someone. I decided to peep inside and eavesdrop his conversation. What if he is talking to my to-be-bhabhi?

“Sir, when do we have to submit that assignment? Okk sir. Thank you sir” I slapped my forehead listening to him.

Khoda pahad nikli chuhiya!

I mumbled enough for him to listen.

“Aadu, what are you doing here?” He asked confused.

“Nothing, just eavesdropping your conversation.” I sounded casual.

“Why? Ye humare ghar me sanskar nhi hai Aadu” He said as if he was talking something very personal.

“Konsa, aapki girlfriend se aapko baat karte hue sun liya. Khair choriye girlfriend se baat krne ke liye girlfriend honi bhi chahiye ”

I passed him an annoyed smile.

“Beta, better use this little brain of yours in studies. Not these shits” He said making me nod my head.

“Ok, dadaji!” I joined my hands and bowed down while he blessed me. We both laughed at eachother 's antics.

We were walking down the steps when the door opened revealing the faces of Raghuvanshi's and Mehra's.

They all entered together. Mumma hugged both the aunties, while I greeted them.

Everybody was engaged in a lively conversation. The hall was bustling with chaos.

I found the couple engaged in their gossip. I looked around if someone was free.

“Aadya, go and call your brothers ” Choti ma said.

I started searching for them, where I could find them.

“Bhaiyaaaa!!” I called out to Rudraksha Bhaiya and he gestured me to come there.

“Choti ma is calling you all” I said ignoring Avyansh.

Actually I am not ignoring him but my developing feelings for him.

But sometimes I feel like they're not developing, they already exist. They are just reviving again.

“Chlooooo...na” I said pulling Arya Bhai's hand to walk.

As I was walking, I felt a hand wrap around my shoulders. I turned to look who it was.

It was Prashant bhaiya. I sighed looking at him. “Hey, Aalu! How are you?” He said in teasing tone.

“First of all, I'm not Aalu, I am Aadya and I am fantastic as always.” I corrected him.

“Haan Aalu, and What kind of manners are these? You should say thank you and ask‘How are you Bhaiya?’” He said in his fake formal tone.

“What do you mean by manners? And why should I ask, when I can see that you're completely fit and fine.” I heard the familiar laugh and an unwanted smile came to my face.

“Kya hihihii kr rahe ho sab ? Rudra, didn't you taught her manners? She's going out of hands” He said coughing a bit.

“I was never in his hands. His hands are not that big. Shant bhaiya it's looks like now you're converting into an orthodox uncle” I said shrugging my shoulders.

“You Aalu, don't call me uncle” He said making everyone laugh.

“Bhaiya, in your name shant comes yk, Pra-shant. But you're aren't quiet for a moment?” I said  while Lakshi di wiped the tears coming from her eyes.

Everyone enjoyed munching the evening snacks. Finally in an hour henna artist will be here.

I took the golden plate with the rose petals covering the plate as a cloth. Above the petals were 14 henna cones.

I kept them in the centre of the hall.

“Didi, Arya Bhai is calling you ” Aarav said with his headphones on. I nodded my head and went to Bhai's direction.

“What happened, Bhai?” I asked him. “Woh... actually I was asking ki if there is any work left for us or we can leave ”

“No, you can't. I mean you need to help the ladies if they need it.” I explained them.

As I turned around, I felt something falling from my ear. I looked down and found my earring down there.

I bent down to take it. My hair fell to one of my shoulders side. Pushing them back , I stood up.

Only to be taunted by my Bua

“Aaj kal ki ladkiyon mein sanskar naam ki koi cheez hi nhi hai. Maa-baap sikhate hi nhi hai. Inhe ladkon ke samne apni skin show krni hai or wagera.”

“Toh aap sikha dijiye na bua. Jab aapko itni chinta hai toh” I shot back knowing that she targeted me.

“Dekho kaise patar patar juban chal rhi hai.” She said adding petrol to the fire.

“Bua bhagwan ne juban di hai toh chalegi hi na, kyunki koi bhi cheez jyada din Bina chalaye rakh do toh woh kharab ho jati hai ab aap apne khud ke dimaag ka hi example le lijiye.” I said pressing a bittersweet smile on my face.

“Meri beti hoti toh ab tak chaar chate laga deti mai” She said gritting her teeth.

Before she could say anything else, her daughter entered in to the scene. I smirked as she will make it more interesting.

She was wearing mini skirts and crop top. Bua 's head was low.

“Now, no one is showing off their skin ” I shifted a little closer to her daughter.

“Shreya, where are you coming from?” I asked looking at her already red face.

“Di ...woh actually I went to meet my male friends” She said stammering and went away.

“ Bua look at the difference when your daughter has 5 boyfriends a year and I don't Even have a Crush. ” I said.

“Dusron me aangan mein jhankne se pehle ek baar khudke aangan mein dekh lena chahiye bua” Arya Bhai said wrapping his arms around me, securely.

“Arya, Aadya stop it ! Is this the way to talk with elders ” Mumma screamed.

“Mumma, when elders forget their manners then I guess sometimes youngers should advice them.” I said walking the stairs directing me to my room.

I shut the door behind me. How the heck she said that. She talks about manners. God knows but I don't know how did Grandma and Grandpa gave her this horrible manners.

I opened my phone and dialled Anisha and Zoya on a Conference call.

I can't live without telling them.

After an hour, I made myself look presentable and opened the door.

Opening the door I saw my brothers sitting on the floor gawking at me.

“Aap theek ho? Di, you are fine right? I'll see that bitch, Aadu! You want me to throw her out, I'll do it rn! Didi you know na she's a bitch ” They asked all together.

“Arey..will you all stop and let her speak ” Avyansh said.

“I'm fine and I know everything. Why are you panicking? Calm down!” I said.

We all headed downstairs. I saw artists were busy. I looked at Lakshi di with a henna cone in her hand.

I went towards her and forwarded my hand to apply the henna.

By the time, it was 10 pm. All the artists have gone and I have finished with Lakshi Di's both the hands.

Now only I am left. But I am too tired to apply it to myself.

I kept 2 cones which were for me aside and walked towards the garden.

I found Avyansh coming. I stopped mid-ways.

He looked at me and then my hands. “Where are you going?” He asked in a sweet tone.

“Just for a walk.” I said to which he nodded.“ You didn't applied it to your hands ” He asked looking at my hands.

“Yah.. actually I am too tired to apply it to myself.” I said wearily.

He looked at me for a moment.

“If you want, can I ?” He asked with a slight hesitation.

“What? Mehandi? You?” I asked being shocked by his suggestion.

“Umm..yahh I am not that good in it but I can try atleast for you.” He said emphasising that 'you'.

I nodded my head at his sweet act. We both walked towards the  garden. I forwarded him the cone.

And he started making few patterns.
