PART - 21The gift was so surprising that she could not believe her eyes. It was a framed photo of her and Nishant. It was taken on the day when he came to meet her in her office It was their first photo together and the most special one and getting it as a gift from his parents was making it more special for her she held it in her hands and smiled like a happy baby. That frame felt like an approval from his parents.  But still looked at her parents from whom she needed an affirmation as well. She knew Nishant's parents were already happy for their alliance but her parents didn't open up about their opinion which made her a bit uncomfortable. However that didn't last long. It only lasted till her father handed over an envelope to her. She took it from him confused. " Just open and look at it dear. " said Linda's mom.She looked at it and it looked like some invitation letter. She turned and and saw hers and Nishant's name written on it. It was totally perplexed and opened up the letter in a hurry. It's context was that Nishant and Linda was getting engaged on the coming month 20 th. She couldn't believe it she looked at their parents and happy tears rolled up on her face. She went and hugged her parents. Now Nishant was the one who was clearly surprised. When Linda was able to comprehend the things she smiled at Nishant and handed over the letter to Nishant. Nishant was overjoyed when he read each word in the letter and couldn't contain his happiness. " So how is our surprise my children. " asked Nishant's dad.They both simply smiled at him." We have simply put in a date we have simply called to check if the hall is free but not given advance payment or made any other arrangements so if you aren't convenient with the date we may change it. I mean we know it's near we have just put in a date that we felt would be good. Afterall its you both who must decide the dates. We just wanted to work on this surprise like this so we did this."" I am fine with this date. It's not near we have got more than a month's time. " Nishant responded immediately.That evoked a laughter among the others, his eagerness and enthusiasm. He felt shy when that was the response. " I mean if she is OK with it then.."" Yes thats the point. Are you fine with the date dear do you have any concerns on it?"Asked Nishant's dad." Yes dad I'm totally fine with it. "So with that they made more plans for the engagement and after spending some more time Nishant and his parents left Linda's house. To be continued....
