PART - 33It was their relative, Rita's mother, who came to visit her. Linda welcomed her in. After that she directed her Aunt's room, then she stood there for sometime when her friend was talking to Aunt she also conversed with Linda for sometime. So Linda left them to have a conversation for their own within their personal space. Linda went to the kitchen after some time and made some coffee for the guest and Aunt and also took some snacks, then went into the room to call them. And she was about to knock the door, it was then she very unexpectedly heard their conversation which was about her. " She didn't even bring sufficient dowry and now she is back answering to me, she doesn't even care that I'm sick her husband and mom-in-law also doesn't care about these things." Aunt was speaking slowly." What do you mean who cares about dowry these days ? After all I think she's a good girl, and she is taking good care of you as well. And you know right she had solved the problems Rita and Manav had. "Aunt didn't like this comment she expected her to support her. Both of them didn't see Linda as well. Aunt continued in a more stern tone," I do care Nishant deserved more dowry she is not from a poor background they have good financial stability then why didn't they offer a good dowry, if they couldn't afford it this marriage shouldn't have happened and she acts as if she has brought something valuable here and Rita's case that's her job right, don't you know she's an advocate so it's nothing big it's very normal. "Linda was shockingly standing there hearing these words and the word dowry was heard by her from that house for the first time. And all the comments made her upset and angry as well she kept staring at Aunt and when suddenly turned she saw Linda and was shuddered. " I didn't mean---I--mean." Aunt started stammering. "Linda went inside the room and kept the tray on the table and started talking. " I heard everything well. No need of any explanations. I don't even feel like talking to you eventhough you used to make rude comments at me often I never expected you were this toxic. I used to always think why you were passing hate comments at me now I know and why Nishant also resists you. I don't even want to talk to such a materialistic gold digger like you.
