PART - 7Nishant wasn't picking up the phone. Linda called again, but she was disappointed. She started thinking why she was so tense just because Nishant wasn't calling her or picking up her call. Why should she be so concerned about it. She didn't have an answer for it. All she knew was that she needed to at least hear his voice. But she didn't know the reason. She consoled herself, thinking that it would be her fear of losing a good friend and nothing else.Nishant was busy with his work he had put his phone on silent mode, so he hadn't noticed Linda's call. It was only after he finished his work that he noticed Linda's call. He was overjoyed when he saw her number. With all this, he was falling in love with her more and more but couldn't express it as she wasn't showing any interest. However, he hid his joy and called her back.In just two rings, Linda picked up the phone." Hello, Nishant. Why weren't you attending the call? " Linda couldn't hide her curiosity she had been anxiously waiting for the call from a long time.Nishant suddenly received an email from his office. " Hello Linda, I'll call you back after some time. I'm sorry I have got urgent work. "" Okay, Nishant."Linda felt Nishant avoiding her.' If he was busy, then why did he call me he could've just texted me. I would've waited. Why did he make a call and disappeared all of a sudden. Maybe he wanted to show he wasn't interested. I don't care. I don't have any feelings for him, and I won't call him back, thought Linda.However, she couldn't console herself. She felt that minutes were much longer. She couldn't pass time. She eagerly waited for Nishant's call. After about half an hour, Nishant called back." Hello Linda. "" Hm... Hello, " she acted as if she didn't care much." Sorry, I had an urgent work. "" Mm.."" How was your day ? "" Fine. "" Had lunch ? "" Yes. "" What happened? Not in the mood to talk ?  Are you okay ? "" Nothing. I felt sad I had a feeling that you were ignoring me. "" I told you right it was a busy day. I had some important work. I didn't do it intentionally. "" I can understand that. But you usually connect with me some or the other way right, and you were the one who said we don't need any reasons to talk to each other. "" I know but I just can't I mean can we meet tomorrow. "" Sure. "" Okay then good night and see you tomorrow. "" Good night. "Linda felt relieved after talking to Nishant and she was eagerly waiting for their meeting the next day, without knowing about the upcoming changes in their lives.To be continued......
