34 Mr. Joseph Washes the Dishes
Isabella smiled sweetly, âActually, itâs very simple. Whoever loses will wash the dishes today.â
Everyone in the room was silent for a while.
Then they all laughed.
Charlie gave a hearty laugh, âFine! Fine! No wonder Joseph tried so hard! Itâs the loser who will wash the dishes! Well, I agree that Joseph will wash the dishes tonight!â
They had a nice and quiet dinner during Isabellaâs flattery.
Charlie no longer doubted the real reason for Isabella rolling downstairs.
However, Joseph was more vicious inside and out....
Sure enough, after dinner, Isabella reminded Joseph, âDear, donât forget to wash the dishes.â
Joseph couldnât help but break the silver spoon handle off....

Joseph washing dishes was probably big news in Wilson Manor. After dinner, Charlie happily had someone move chairs and sat at the kitchen entrance to watch it. William, Gerry, and more than a dozen chefs and workers in the kitchen were all crowded aside.
Everyone was curious and shocked.
Joseph changed into a simple dark blue sportswear. When Joseph stretched out his arms, two maids put on large aprons and sleeves for him and respectfully stepped aside.
William personally went forward to instruct Joseph who had never done housework on how to properly wash the dishes.
It looked like a grand occasion and others would think that they were serving Joseph to change into an imperial robe before he ascended the throne.
Some of them said, âMiss Isabella should be Mr. Josephâs Miss Right. Mr. Joseph is so recalcitrant. But he listens to Miss Isabella and is washing the dishes personally.â
Someone said, âWilson Manor is so big. Iâve only seen Mr. Joseph from afar. I didnât expect him to be so handsome. No wonder so many girls like him.â
Others said, âIsnât Mr. Joseph a good man who is a master of all sorts of trades?â
They were in the vein for gossiping about Joseph.
Isabella stood beside Charlie, rubbing his shoulders while triumphantly smiling.
Isabella laughed!
Looking at Josephâs handsome face as he threw in the towel, Isabella felt so good. Isabella knew well that she couldnât beat Joseph or contend against him....
But Joseph was afraid of Charlie.
Anyway, Isabella would get into trouble even if she deferred to Joseph. Joseph always wanted to get physical with Isabella. Then why did Isabella allow him to bully herself?
Rather than being sent back to the Smithâs and being beaten, it would be better to pretend to be lovey-dovey and let Joseph know that Isabella was not a pushover!
A sound rang out.
Just as Isabella was a bit smug, she suddenly heard a crisp sound of something breaking.
A bowl slipped out of Josephâs hands to the ground and shattered.
âIs Mr. Joseph injured?â
Everyone became nervous at once. When the family doctor, who had been carrying the first aid kit, immediately went forward to check, Isabella rolled her eyes.
Joseph was really pampered. He just broke a bowl. Did they have to be so nervous...?
Fortunately, Charlie wasnât as nervous as they were, but said when smiling, âAlthough washing dishes is easy, learning new things is a basic quality that a business leader should possess. You should rely on yourself to overcome difficulties. You guys should step aside. Joseph is a grown man. Itâs not worth mentioning even if he cuts his finger.â
âYes.â
The nervous crowd stepped aside. Joseph respectfully bowed his head towards Charlie, âYouâre right. Theyâre too nervous and Iâm not hurt.â
Then Joseph swallowed his rage and squatted down, personally packing up the pieces....
Seeing the overbearing Joseph like this, Isabella was filled with joy.
While flattering, Isabella nudged, âGrandpa, thatâs really amazing. It turns out that washing dishes can be elevated into enterprise management. No wonder Joseph is faithful to his duties. It seems that he should do more dishes. How clumsy Joseph is. It will be great if he gets more experience.â
âIsabella, youâre absolutely right. I also think what characterizes training given to Joseph is a lack of attention to detail. That...â
âMaster Wilson, thereâs an emergency teleconference call from the American branch.â
A servant suddenly walked in, interrupting everyoneâs conversation, and reported anxiously.
âWhat do you need me to solve personally at this late hour....â
Charlie stopped smiling and stood up with his walking stick, âAlright, all of you can go. Isabella instructs Joseph to finish washing the dishes. Tell me if he dares to cheat!â
âWhat? Do I need to stay here with Joseph?â
Isabellaâs smile froze. The moment Charlie stood up and turned around, Isabella felt Josephâs anger....
âWait, Grandpa....â
Before Isabella could finish, Joseph pounced on her from behind and held her. Joseph was probably afraid that Charlie would be suspicious of him, so he smiled brightly as he held Isabellaâs neck and said loudly towards the door, âGrandpa, donât worry. I will definitely complete the mission with Isabella!â
Charlie wasnât suspicious of Joseph and went straight upstairs. The servants saw that things were bad and left right away....
Instantly, only Joseph and Isabella remained in the large kitchen.
The door slammed shut....
âWell, whoever loses washes the dishes, right?â
Joseph pressed Isabella against the corner, pulled off the apron and gloves, and smiled sinisterly, âYou have a lot of tricks, Isabella.â
Isabella squatted in the corner and knew that that was too much. She could only pass herself off helpless and huddle up to beg for mercy, âI did that to help you out. Joseph, you have to understand me.â
âDear, I need to do more dishes, right?â
Joseph said in the same tone as Isabella. Then Joseph moved his neck and fingers, making a terrifying cracking sound, âIsabella, your suggestion is very good. Charlie is growing fond of you.â
âIsnât it because I flatter Master Wilson?â
Isabella said while she was eager to please Joseph, âDonât look at me like that. Isnât it good to wash the dishes? Youâre the president of the Global Group and the successor of the Wilson Consortium. Isnât it embarrassing if you donât even know how to wash the dishes?â
âThatâs right. How embarrassing.â
Joseph smiled as he held Isabella up. Joseph faked a smile as he said, âSo it would be better for the omnipotent Miss Isabella to guide me personally, wouldnât it?â
As soon as Joseph finished speaking, his eyes were sharp and he rudely pushed Isabella to the bucket.
Then Joseph walked forward and pressed Isabellaâs head inside, âThe next step to rinse it, right?â
âWait! Wait!â
Isabella pressed her hands against the bucket and anxiously said, âI tell you if you dare to press me down, I will tell Grandpa about this and you will come to a bad end!â
