387 A Delicious Supper
Joseph was angry and was lecturing with a dark face. Isabella had planned to tell Joseph that such a thing should not affect his state of mind. But she felt a sense of security from Josephâs behavior of defending her. She thought Joseph was manly.
But meanwhile, she thought Joseph might not know what happened between her and that shop assistant.
âWhy are you looking at me?â
Joseph pulled Isabella out of the shop unhappily. âDo you also find it very strange? Why did I employ such a shop assistant? I donât know either. She probably knew someone from the personnel department.â
Isabella shook her head with a smile. âI donât care about that kind of trifle. I just think that you are super attractive now.â
Joseph paused and smiled mischievously. âBecause I helped you deal with that shop assistant?â
âThatâs right.â
Isabella twined her arms around Josephâs neck and said proudly, âShe said that I was like a dog counting on its masterâs backing. But youâre my husband. I donât feel ashamed to have your backing. Because youâre so brilliant.â
Joseph smiled and touched Isabellaâs nose. âNot bad. But you are not a dog. You are a fox. You are a cunning fox that I raise.â
.....
âIs that a fox assuming the majesty of a tiger?â
Isabella smiled happily. âSo, dear tiger king, what shall we eat tonight?â
âOf course, Iâll eat you.â
Isabella paused and immediately punched Joseph. âSeriously, Iâm hungry!â
âYou ate twice my food and four ice creams at noon. Are you hungry now?â
Joseph drew Isabella close to him and looked at Isabella carefully. âDid you exercise too much the night before yesterday? Why are you so hungry?â
Isabella punched him again. âWhat are you talking about? Iâm not so weak!â
Joseph laughed out loud and placed his hand on Isabellaâs belly. âAre you pregnant? Angelina specifically reminded me that you might be pregnant if you retched or had a great appetite! Why does it feel like a ball?
âWhat?â
Isabella pushed Joseph away. She blushed with shame and said, âYouâre so annoying! I just want to have a meal. Stop talking about that. We have to attend the graduation ball tonight. If we donât eat earlier, we wonât have time to eat!â
Joseph was stunned. âGraduation ball?â
âI told you about it!â
Isabella gave Joseph another punch. âI said that you would attend the graduation ball with me in the middle of this month! Just once in a lifetime. The graduation ball is more important than a wedding ceremony!â
Joseph instantly remembered what Isabella had said when they came back from Green Hill. It was only a few days ago. But Joseph felt it was a century ago because too many things had happened recently. Joseph then smiled and said, âI remember it. But why didnât you inform me and invite me today? I havenât chosen a suit yet.â
Isabella swung her arms and walked ahead. When she heard this, she turned her head and said proudly and naturally, âMy dear husband. Why do I have to invite you? Iâm sure youâll go with me.â
Isabella then giggled. âAnd my dear, you have such a good figure. Youâll be pretty cool wearing any suit in your wardrobe. You donât need to prepare anything in advance! And even if you wear this now, youâll be more handsome than any average man! I love you so much!â
Joseph looked at Isabellaâs smiling face, caught up to her, and held her hand. âYou said that the ball would start at night, right? Letâs go have a meal now. Iâll then take you to see something good.â
âIs there something good again?â Isabella widened her eyes in excitement. âJoseph, how can you be so cute today? I even want to eat you.â
Joseph wrapped his arm around Isabellaâs shoulder and said with an evil smile, âIâll let you be satisfied tonight.â
Isabella was a glutton. After her strong suggestion, the two of them went to eat seafood at dusk.
Joseph supported his chin and thoughtfully looked at Isabella who was taking apart a king crab. Joseph said in a low voice, âI know why Carl doesnât like you as his stepdaughter.â
Isabella paused and immediately asked seriously, âWhy?ân/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
âBecause you are a glutton. He thinks that you will eat him out of house and home!â
As soon as Joseph finished speaking, Isabella threw the crab shell in her hand at Joseph. Joseph was prepared for this and laughed out loud. âIâm no longer kidding. You ate so much ice cream in the afternoon, and now you eat seafood. You will die.â
âItâs OK. My stomach is very strong.â
Isabella winked at Joseph and flattered him. âDarling, Iâm very easily fed. Iâm less demanding for dressing and using. I only like food. I want to try everything that can be stuffed into my mouth.â
Joseph narrowed his eyes. âDo you want to try everything that can be stuffed into your mouth?â
Isabella nodded seriously. âDo you believe me? I watched an introduction of Thousands of Insects Feast on TV. Although Jane said they were disgusting, I wanted to try them. I was so gluttonous that I even drooled.â
Joseph elegantly picked up the food with his chopsticks while smiling mischievously and meaningfully. âIf thatâs the case, Iâll give you a delicious supper that youâve never tasted tonight. Itâs soft and tender. I guarantee that you wonât be able to live without it forever if you taste it once.â
Isabella asked carelessly and excitedly, âWhat is it? It sounds so delicious. Is it fried? Is it sweet or spicy?â
Joseph smirked. âItâs luscious and delicious. But itâs eaten raw.â
âEaten raw?â Isabella turned so pleased. âWhy donât you take me to eat now? We donât have to wait for the night to have it. I feel especially energetic eating delicious food!â
Joseph raised an eyebrow. âAre you sure you want to try it now?â
âWhatâs wrong?â
Isabella continued innocently, âWhy is your expression so strange now? What kind of surprise is it? Anyway, the ball will be quite late. How about calling my best friends Jane and David for supper? You can meet each other. And Platty is not bad, although he looks a bit weird.â
Joseph froze. âHow can this kind of thing be shared with others?â
âIs it something very rare and precious?â
Isabella thought for a moment. âItâs fine. We can cut it carefully, and each tries a piece. Jane and David are very good to me. I used to take their things. Now I can repay them a little.â
The smile on Josephâs face froze. He pinched Isabellaâs cheek and pulled it. âYou silly woman, did you say it on purpose? How can your husbandâs things be tasted by others? Are you so full that you are silly?â
âWhatâs wrong?â
Isabella blinked kindly at Joseph. âNot only do I like to share, but I also like to roast before eating. I donât like raw food. Can I roast it with a lighter before eating?â
