Liam's POV
Tomorrow's the day we leave for our Washington trip. I'm actually really excited to go. I know it's a school related trip but it doesn't feel like school at all.
Tomorrow at 8am we have to go to the school, from there we got on a bus to the airport. I should probably start packing.
I don't know what essentials to necessarily bring so I turn to my friends for guidance.

I'm just about done packing. how long is the trip?

okay then I'll pack some extra shampoo and all that

I've come to two conclusions. One, I need to go shopping for this trip really quick. Two, I need to block Mason on messages at this point.
I borrow my moms car, since she's actually home for once, and run to the nearest Walgreens. I grab some extra toiletries then immediately head to the snack section. I grab some of Theo and I's favorite snacks for the plane ride.
I grab what I needed and head to checkout. There's a lady who I'm guessing is in her mid 50's working the counter. "Do you happen to go to Beacon Hills High?" She asks while scanning my items.
"Yeah, how did you know?" I'm genuinely curious. "This is about the tenth student I've had some in here doing some last minute shopping."
I internally laugh. See Mason, I'm not the only one who didn't prepare!
Once I'm back home I take a nice long shower preparing for the upcoming vacation. I'm both excited and nervous. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm pumped to go on vacation with my best friends and boyfriend but it's just a weird feeling. It's hard to explain.
I shake away these weird thoughts and get into bed. It was fairly easy to drift off. I wanted to sleep so tomorrow could come sooner but I was really excited.

I was awoken abruptly by my mom shaking me and practically yelling in my ear. "Liam sweetie you have to get up now!" I groaned in response and dragged myself to my dresser.
Once I was all dressed and ready to go my mom brought the car around. "Mom you really don't have to. Theo can drive me if you want." I double check. "Nonsense. I'm not going to see my son for 5 days, I need to say a final goodbye." She waved off.
Not like she sees me anyway. I wanted to say that but I didn't, for the sake of her "perfect motherhood" thoughts. She ushers me to the car so we can drive up to the school.
"Alright. Here's some extra money for anything you'll need. I love you and have fun. Stay safe!" She hugs me and I reciprocate the gesture and smile. "Bye mom!" I yelled while shutting the car door.
I saw my friends standing around by the doors. I walk over there while slightly jumping. "Who's freaking ready!" I yelled. Everyone started yelling and cheering. "This will be the best trip!"Â Lydia practically screamed.
We signed in and got on the bus. I decided to sit next to Scott for the ride to the airport if I'll be spending most of my time with Theo.
"What kind of places do you want to hit up while we're there?" I turned my head to ask Scott.
"Well you got the classic Washington monument. Of course the Lincoln memorial. Obviously we need to visit the cherry blossom trees, super romantic sight." Scott explained.
I laughed, "Lincoln memorial?"
"What? Lincoln was a great man. Our 16th president who abolished slavery also led us through the American Civil War and many more political crises. It was all up until John Wilkes Booth shot him in the head in the Ford's Theatere. Then Andrew Johnson became president and I'm sure he was good, but probably couldn't amount to the great impacts of the country like Lincoln did." Scott gave me a speech about Lincoln, which I did not ask for.
I gave him a weird look. "Hey I read!" I still continued to laugh. I look behind me to see Theo silently looking out the window. He's sitting next to Corey but he fell asleep quiet quickly. He doesn't look pumped like everyone else.
In the midst of Scott ranting on about something Disney related, again, I quickly shoot Theo a safety text.

alrighty.. just think in just about 5 hours we'll be in Washington DC checking into our hotel room

I turn my phone off and lay my head back. The airport isn't too far so I don't have to wait much longer. I put my earbuds in and turn on the first song in my playlist.
I close my eyes but it feels like almost immediately I'm being shook awake by Scott.
"Scott if this is about Disney I-" I stop talking when I realize we've arrived at the airport. "Yeah that's what I thought." He sarcastically rolled his eyes. I huffed and stretch while exiting the bus.
We get our luggage passed around as we enter the airport. We give them our passport and go through security and all that annoying airport routine.
We board the flight and all find our seats. The school really pulled out the big guns because this is a nice plane. There's 2 big seats in each row.
"Look at that window! Which seat do you want?" I ask Theo. "You take the window baby." Theo laughs as we walk down the isle.
I stick my luggage on the top compartment and plop down in the seats. Theo does the same. He grabs my hand and looks out the window.
After take off the sun is slightly shaded by the clouds, creating a breathtaking sight. "So beautiful." I breathed out. "Yeah sure is." Theo smiles. I turn to see he isn't looking out the window at all, instead in my eyes.
I kiss him slowly and smile. This is going to be a great trip.
