Chapter 13: Blame

Depression poetryWords: 612

They laugh at her day and night

Although they hide from others sight

She's the only one who hears

Now in the hospital the doctor confirms her parents fears

Their only child is depressed

But at what can only be guessed

Why would their perfect child not want to live

What more could they give

She rolls over in her bed

Why do the voices think she's better dead

What did her future hold

She was once so sweet and bold

None of her family is sure what to say

None of them know who made her this way

Sadly it's the one who promised to keep here alive

Now he stands beside her bed

Knowing he's why she wants to be dead
