Chapter 24: Karma please

Depression poetryWords: 911

The feeling of your lips on mine

It still plays over in my mind

It's been a few months now

I wonder how

How do you take over my brain

You're slowly driving me insane

I hold on only for my son

I've known for awhile we were done

Giving up isn't easy and it really hurts

Not being their first

The way they indulge your pain

Like a run away train

Seeing them makes it worse

They were supposed to be your first

Letting go will lessen the pain

But how do you tell that to your brain

Your heart isn't ready to give up

It seems to be stuck

They invade your every thought

You stand rooted in your spot

Quickly don't look at their face

Because of regret and pain, you won't find a trace

They must not truly care

They weren't even supposed to be there

Them showing up was a surprise

Revenge isn't wise

Get on your knees and pray

Karma will find them one day

She is just and swift

Just pray for their name to be on the list
