Chapter 79 “What you said is true, but I’ve saved the damsel in distress, so how could you be so ruthless, Ms. Madeline? Are you going to leave an injured person outside?” Noah blocked the door and put on an innocent expression, slowly breaking Madeline’s defense.

If he stayed there, he would most likely be treated as the third wheel and get kicked away by Noah. However, if he left without saying anything, he was afraid that it would be considered as leaving his post without permission. He had no choice but to bite the bullet and ask for Noah’s orders.

“Wayne, do you want to go work in the fields in Alewell?!” Noah stared at Wayne, who was still dumbfounded. His eyes were filled with disgust, and it was as if he was saying, “Get lost! Otherwise, I’ll skin you alive!”

Since Noah had spoken, how could Wayne continue staying there? He could only escape with the bodyguards. The group disappeared so quickly that even Madeline was shocked.

Noah knew about Elise being her best friend five years ago.
