I admired the way the orange and pink sunset settled in the green of Nats iris, the cigarette smoke tumbling past her plump lips as she looked at me from over her shoulder, the pure aesthetic she was giving off every tumblr girls dream.
"Do you want another drag?" Natasha asked me, her voice coming out raspy and smooth.
I declined with a shake of my head, bringing the red straw to my lips and sucking up the slushy her and I had bought from the gas station. Nat took another puff before putting the cancer stick out in the gravely shingles of my parents roof. Nothing but homophobic assholes my parents.

I smiled as the red leaves landed in my hand, my boots crunching against the ones on the ground as Nat as I walked through the small nature trails in town.
"Falls my favorite season." Natasha told me, smiling softly at me as she twirled the stem of a yellow leaf between her fingertips.
"Mine too." I replied with the same tone. Both of us knew why, the confession we both told each other in October coming to mine as Nat squeezed my hand just a little bit tighter, saying 'I love you' with each squeeze.
