âHiss!â
The crowd of onlookers sucked in a breath of air, and many of the men among them felt a phantom pain in their crotch. They let out an empathetic groan.
?
Everyone knew that with Jeremyâs kick, Sheldon was ruined for life.
Jeremy ruthlessly stomped a few more times. âF*cking brat! You deserve to be castrated! How dare you lay a finger on Brother Clarenceâs woman? You even dared to propose to her! F*ck you!â
Once Jeremy was satisfied, he and Johnson left, not sparing the crowd even a single glance.
Right after they left, an old man dining at a table in the restaurant piped up, âThis is outrageous! How can they do this in broad daylight?! Are there no laws in this city? Why arenât they being arrested?!â
âSir, please donât be angry,â the middle-aged man with a buzzcut next to him hurriedly appeased the angry old diner.
The old man was Zander Goldman, a retired gentleman from the capital.
He had disguised himself as a commoner for his visit to Middle Seas City, but never in his wildest dreams could he have imagined that such a scene would unfold right before his eyes. How could he not be fuming?
âHmph!â
Zander coldly snorted, âWhat kind of people are those hooligans? How barbaric and lawless! Cough, cough, coughâ¦!â
Zander coughed violently.
âSir, be careful. Your health, your illnessâ¦â The middle-aged man frantically patted Zanderâs back.
Zander brushed the man off. âTell me, who were those two people?â
The middle-aged man braced himself and replied, âThat young man is named Jeremy, heâs from the Hayes family, I think? As for the other one, heâs Johnson Golding, the boss of a private lending company.â
âWhich Hayes family?â Zanderâs face sank.
âItâs the Hayes family headed by that old man Joshua Hayes,â the other man explained.
The corner of Zanderâs eyes twitched. âOh, so itâs that guy. Come accompany me to meet with the Hayes family.â
After Clarence left the Hilton Sea View Hotel, he wandered around aimlessly on the street, feeling upset. Miranda had called him dozens of times in a row, but Clarence hung up on all of them.
However, she kept on calling.
Clarence blocked Mirandaâs number and dialed Ceciliaâs contact number.
âHey Cecilia, are you free? Letâs go for a drink.â
âWhy? Are you upset?â Cecilia was a little surprised.
âWell, sort of.â
âSend me your location, letâs go together.â
Clarence sent his location to Cecilia and turned off his phone.
After about ten minutes or so, Cecilia pulled up to Clarence in a green Lamborghini. He was dumbfounded.
âDid you really have to pick me up in a car of this color?â Clarence stood by the road.
Cecilia was wearing a black dress, its hemline just reaching her thighs. She was leaning back in the driverâs seat, and from Clarenceâs position he could catch a glimpse of the snow-white fabric of her underwear between her legs.
Clarence instantly shook his head to clear his thoughts.
Crap!
Did he just concentrate too hard and accidentally use his x-ray vision?
âWhatâs wrong with green? I like green.â Cecilia drummed on the carâs door with her tiny, delicate fingers.
Clarence opened the door and wrapped an arm around Ceciliaâs waist, while the other held her legs up as he carried her out of her seat.
Her body froze up.
âHuh?! What are you doing? Weâre in public!â Cecilia cried out in shock.
Still, her hands clung tightly onto Clarenceâs neck and she allowed him to carry her out of the car.
âIâll drive, you go sit in the passengerâs seat.â Clarence laid Cecilia down on the passengerâs seat and then got into the driverâs seat himself.
Cecilia cooed, âI thought you were gonna do something else.â
âWoohoo!â
Clarence let out a shout as he stepped on the gas pedal, the Lamborghini turning into a green flash as it blazed down the road. He had gone from zero to eighty miles an hour in just a split second!
Cecilia was surprised, âLil Bro, what are you driving so fast for? Weâre in the city center, itâs dangerous to go this fast.â
âItâll be fine.â
Clarence waved his hand. âSet the barâs location for me.â
Cecilia looked at Clarence suspiciously, though she had to acknowledge that although Clarence was driving fast, he wasnât being reckless. He had not bumped into or scraped any cars.
Cecilia breathed a sigh of relief, starting up the GPS and setting the barâs location for Clarence.
Clarence spared a glance at the screen, stepped on the gas pedal, and continued to blaze down the road.
âAhh!â
Ceciliaâs face went pale and she held onto Clarenceâs arm.
âSnortâ!â
A few minutes later, the green sports car came to a clean stop right outside the bar.
Ceciliaâs pretty face was completely flush, her heart pounding wildly as she let go of Clarence. âDo you have a death wish?! Whyâd you drive so fast?! Good thing we didnât get into an accident, or we wouldâve both died for sure!â
âI would much rather be dead...â Clarence grimaced.
Cecilia sensed that something wasnât right with Clarence and took his hand. âWhatâs wrong, Lil Bro?â
âGuess what I just saw?â Clarence shook his head.
Cecilia asked, âWhat?â
âMirandaâs first love proposed to her!â Clarence smiled wryly.
âSh*t!â
Cecilia was fuming and her eyes flew wide open. âThis is just too much! You two arenât divorced yet, yet sheâs already seeing another man and even preparing to marry him?! Thatâs just cold! I would never do such a thing! Come, take me to her! Let me talk some sense into her!â
âForget it, I just want to drink.â Clarence shook his head, his face darkened.
Clarence looked so defeated. A trace of tenderness flashed across Ceceliaâs beautiful eyes. âItâs okay. Even if you get divorced, youâll still have your Big Sis.â
âThank you, Big Sis.â Clarence felt a warmth blossom in his heart.
The two of them then got out of the car and headed inside the bar.
Once they entered the bar, a man by the entrance took out his phone. âBoss, I just saw your wife walking into a bar with a little boy on her arm.â
