"Ava! Come on, I called Dave and told him we will be the ones bringing you home." Kenzie shouted as she saw me in the crowd of students rushing to not miss their ride back home.
I rolled my eyes behind my sunglasses and pushed my hair back from my face. I think I need a haircut.
"Hurry up!" I was yanked forward and I stumbled. My body still kind of hurts from training but after the many trainings I've gone through, I've learned to live with it. It doesn't mean it hurts any less though with my rough friends who have no sense of personal space.
"Hailee! Chill!" I whined as I forced my feet to move to her pace.
"No, we need to get home to get ready for the party!"
I pulled to a stop, "what? It's only 3! The party doesn't start until tonight!"
"I know right? That is just not enough time to get ready so that's why we need to hurry up," she grabbed my wrist and pulled me forward again as I groaned. This is gonna be a long evening.

I was currently sat in front of the piano, singing random songs when I heard screams from upstairs but I just ignored it.
"Sweetie?"
I turned to Mary's voice, "yes?"
"Are those girls okay?"
"Yup," I turned back to the piano, "they are just getting ready for the party. Lord knows what they have done to my room and bathroom with all the screaming and shouting going on."
She laughed, "I'll go check on them and make sure they haven't damaged anything."
"Thanks!" I called out.
It must've been hours that passed when Hailz and Kenz decided to come down. "Ava!" They both shouted.
"Seriously guys?" I deadpanned. "I am right here. You don't need to keep shouting."
"Whatever," Kenz said, grabbing my hand and pulling me up, "it's time for you to get ready. Isn't Justin coming soon?"
I immediately started shaking my head, "hell no, you two she-devils stay away from me and he isn't coming till after 8:30."
"Hurry up then! It's already 7:04! We need to get you dressed!" Hailz screamed as she starts pulling me to the room.
"Mary!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
I heard footsteps rushing from upstairs, going down to where we were at. "What? What is it? Why are you screaming? Did the girls do anything to you?"
They gasped. "Me?!"
I laughed, "no but I need your help to get me ready for the party tonight. I do not want them anywhere near my face."
She chuckled, "oh I understand, honey. Go on up and I'll meet you there."
I walked upstairs and took a hot shower to relax my muscles. I nearly fell asleep leaning against the tiled wall when someone knocked on the bathroom door. "Ava, you almost done?"
"Yeah, I'll be out," I quickly turned off the water, grabbed my towel and wrapped it around my body. I quickly took another towel and wrapped it around my hair, then walked out to my room.
"Okay, your outfit is on the bed along with a pair of black heels. When you're done, sit at your desk and I'll fix your hair and makeup," ordered Mary.
I walked straight to my bed and felt around for my clothes. Once I grabbed it, I put them on in record time and sat at my desk, letting her do her thing. Twenty minutes later, the top part of my hair was pinned up and the rest were lightly curled down my back nearly reaching my hips. I don't know what she did to my face but I'm guessing it looks great from how Hailz and Kenz reacted when I walked into the living room.
"Oh my god! You look hot!"
"Mahn, I am so going to take a video of the Barbies faces when they take a look at you!" Hailz said, mischievously.
I shook my head, smiling, "come on, I may not be able to see you but I know you both look beautiful. Ready to head out?"
"Yes!"
"Let's go party!"
Mary was busy laughing at then as I started heading towards the elevator.
"Ava," a voice called out.
I turned to my uncle's voice, "yeah?"
"Be careful but have fun. Make sure to use protection."
I gaped, "Uncle Dave!"
"David!" Mary gasped, trying to hide her laughter.
"What? She's almost 18, I wouldn't be surprised if she has already done the deed," he stated.
I can feel my face heat up and I placed my hands on my cheeks, "what kind of uncle are you?"
He laughed, "a realistic one. Now go on, have fun but not too much fun."
I spun around and walked straight to the elevator with the girls behind me, laughing hysterically. I glared their way, "shut the hell up."
"Oh mahn, I love your uncle, it's a plus that he's hot," Kenz said breathlessly, trying to catch her breath from laughing to hard. Hailee was still dying of laughter and I was so close to throttling her.
I grimaced, "eww, that's my uncle you are talking about."
"I don't care, I'm just stating the truth," she said.
I shook my head and sighed in exasperation. Can't the elevator move a little faster?
By the time we got to the lobby, I already felt like kicking them so hard that they'd cry. They still wouldn't stop teasing and laughing. I mean, come on, it wasn't that funny.
"That's it, get out! Get your ass out, both of you!" I shouted as I grabbed my clutch and started swinging it wherever, managing to hit them and they yelped and ran out the doors of the lobby. I grumbled, following after them when my name was called out from behind.
"Hey, did you forget about me?" a familiar voice asked as I turned to face him.
I gasped, slapping my head, "oh I'm so sorry, Justin. I totally forgot you were going to wait for me here."
He laughed, "it's okay. I can see they were more than enough to get you to forget anything."
"Ha! They are like two spoiled kids I ended up getting stuck with."
"Well, are you ready to go?" He asked, amused.
"Yes, definitely," I smiled and he gently placed his hand on my back as we walked out the lobby.
"By the way, you look beautiful," he whispered as we got close to the girls.
"Thank you and I bet you look gorgeous."
We finally reached the girls who were chatting about god knows what when I was suddenly slapped on the arm.
"Jeez, you hit hard, you know?" Hailz mumbled.
I rolled my eyes and slid on my sunglasses. It's not my usual glasses because these felt more stylish and curvy. I can feel a few studs embedded on the top corners of both sides. Leave it to Mary to also give me sunglasses that would match my outfit.
"Get over it, I didn't hit you that hard. Anyways, I will meet you guys at the party okay?"
They both hummed in agreement before getting into their car. I followed Justin into his and we started heading to the party. The drive was short but entertaining. By the time we reached the party, my stomach was hurting from laughing too hard and he was laughing to the point where he was practically wheezing.
"Oh gawd, I can't," I said, gasping for air. "You and your brothers are crazy."
"Hey, they are the crazy ones. I just somehow always end up in the middle of their schemes." He grumbled as we both got out the car. "Alright, here we are."
We walked up the lawn, leading to a house filled with loud music and laughing people. I can hear others screaming and probably two people puking at the side. Please don't let me regret this.
The door opened and loud music burst out, making me flinch from my sensitive hearing.
"Ava!"
I turned towards Hailz voice and smiled. They must've been waiting for us by the entrance.
"You want something to drink?" Hailee shouted over the music. I nodded. Kenzie grabbed ahold of my hand and led me to another part of the house. I think it was the kitchen because I can hear the fridge being opened, then closed a few times.
Suddenly I heard someone squeal and I braced myself when Candy threw herself at me, "hey, Candy. Great party."
"I can't believe you actually came!" She screamed excitedly, "you guys look great! Hey, Justin!"
He greeted her as he stood to my right.
I smiled, "thank you, Candy." I turned to Justin, "you wanna check your friends?"
"Nah, I'll check them later. First, I want a dance with you."
I laughed, "yes, sir."
"Here you go, guys," Hailz placed a glass bottle into my hand and then greeted Candy. We all talked for awhile, getting drinks after drinks until I felt slightly tipsy. I danced a few times with Justin and the girls before drinking again. I actually had a high tolerance for alcohol because Uncle Dave and I would play this game. It was more of a training actually. He'd give me drink after drink and then we would fight. Well, more like he fights and I dance around like an idiot. We used to do this every weekend but stopped once Mary caught us. Our ears were burning from the scolding we got from her and we ended up doing chores the whole day. Hungover. In the end though, I got a high tolerance of it and he taught me how to be able to handle myself if I were to be intoxicated and I was suddenly attacked. He always manages to think of everything about my safety and I will always be grateful.
"Let's dance!" Candy giggled and grabbed my hand once again, pulling me to the crowd of people with Hailz and Kenz right behind us. Justin left to check his friends but I didn't mind.
I danced along the girls, laughing as they screamed along with the music. Suddenly the music stopped with the speakers sending off a screeching sound and then a loud bang sounded off, making everyone scream.
"Oh no, someone spilled their drink on the DJ's stuff," Candy said worriedly. "That's the only music that I have ready and they- they fucken pushed it off the stage!"
I flinched. Whoever pissed her off better run because from the anger in her voice, she's about to kill someone.
Suddenly she started crying and we immediately tried to calm her down as everyone around started complaining and shouting. My head was starting to hurt so I quickly turned to Candy, "Candy? Candy, listen to me, is the speaker still able to work? Is there at least a band?"
"Yes," she snuffled, "but the singer is still not here, they said he might not be able to make it."
I nodded and sighed, "okay... How about I sing until you guys figure out how to put on some music when I'm done."
She gasped, "you can sing? Really? You would do that?"
I shrugged, "it's no big deal but yeah, I'm decent enough."
Hailz snorted, "decent my ass. She is amazing, Candice. Trust me, you're party will be awesome as ever and everyone will be amazed."
She started squealing once again and I winced. My god, this girl sure has a set of lungs on her.
"Okay, okay, okay, I'll let the band know to set up and you just head onstage." She said excitedly and left.
"You really gonna do this?" Kenzie asked.
I took a deep breath and nodded, "Yup, I might as well make the most of my night right?"
Hailee and Kenzie started screaming and then took me into a tight hug. "Show them what you're made of, A."
I grinned, "don't worry, I will."
They led me to the stage and I walked up, someone gave me a microphone and we ran a check through everything. I already told them what song to play so I just grabbed the mic and got everyone to calm down. "Okay, everyone. If you don't know who I am, I'm Ava Winters and I hope you party till you drop." I grinned and everyone started cheering and whistling. "This is an old Demi Lovato song but before I start, Kenzie, get your ass up here!"
Everyone started screaming again and I just laughed. Once she was next to me, I told her what song we were doing. Kenzie can sing and rap but she just does it for fun, not for attention or money.
The band started playing and I bobbed my head to the beat, moving with the music.
You wanna play, you wanna stay, you wanna have it all
You started messing with my head until I hit a wall
Maybe I should've known, maybe I should've known
That you would walk, you would walk out the door, hey!
As I sang, I could hear everyone cheering and singing along. I don't know what Kenzie is doing but I'm guessing she's doing something stupid since the crowd would burst into laughter. I just smiled and sang my heart out. This song would always be my favorite no matter how old it gets. It was one of the songs that actually helped me through the days.
Yeah, listen up
Hey, hey, never look back,
Dumb struck boy, ego intact
Look boy, why you so mad
Second guessin', but should've hit that
Kenzie started singing as I clapped along to the music, hearing her strong voice flow through the speakers.
Ryder POV:
"Ryder!" Jake ran to me, shoving the girl in front of me to the side. Emma or Becka- I forgot her name- glared at him and stomped off to the kitchen. I sighed, "what, Jake?"
"Guess who is singing right now?!" He was jumping up and down, excitedly and I had to close my eyes because he was just making me dizzy.
"Your mom?"
He looked at me, deadpanned. "No... It's Ava and Kenzie and they are amazing!"
I quickly followed him in and true to his word, everyone was jumping up and down, dancing and screaming along to the music as Ava and Kenzie both sang that last part of the song together. Once the song ended, everyone went crazy and they just laughed, high fiving each other.
I smiled. They just made the party much more interesting.
"Right? They sounded great right?"
I shrugged, "yeah I guess." Hell fuck yes, they did.
He snorts, "you guess? Man, you must be deaf. I'm gonna go to them."
Before I could respond, he already disappeared into the crowd and I rolled my eyes, following after. I found him at the kitchen with Ava, Candy, Hailee and Kenzie, talking animatedly with a wide smile. The one who caught my attention the most was Ava. Well, technically she has everyone's attention.
"Hey, you guys killed it," I grinned.
"Thanks!" Kenzie smiled with an 'I can't believe I did that' expression.
Ava just smiled. My eyes drew to her lips which were painted blood red and slid down her body which was fitted in a black, strapless short dress which had me thinking a lot of inappropriate things.
"Hey, eyes up here," fingers snapped in my face and my eyes snapped up to Ava's face. How the hell did she know?
"I can feel your eyes all over me," she said, smirking.
I grinned, "well, you can't blame me for looking. You look hot."
She picked up her sunglasses and placed it on her head, giving me a deadpan look. This is the first time I've ever seen her without her glasses on her face. Her eyes were a nice chocolate brown color that I could easily get lost into.
I shook my head. What the hell is wrong with me? "Well, I would love to stick around and chat but I'm gonna go and get laid."
The girls gave me a look of disgust while Ava just laughed along with Jake.
"Whoo! Let's get to it!" Jake hollered as he grabbed me around the neck, dragging me to a bunch of girls dressed like sluts.
The whole night, I saw the girls either dancing with each other, laughing or dancing with a bunch of other guys. For some reason, everytime I see Ava with another guy, it made me want to walk up to the guy and slam his face into a wall. Seriously, what the fuck is she doing to me?
