Sophieâs pov My heart lurches in my throat, not because I was scared for Aiden, but because I was scared for Christopher.
âAiden, you canât.â I whispered while shaking my head.
He tore his eyes away from mine and growled at Mitch. âBring me to him Mitch.â
Mitch nodded, his eyes wide with alert.
I grasp Aidenâs fisted hands, and swallowed harshly. âYou canât please. I donât want them to lock you up again.â
âItâs a bit too late for that Sophie. He touched you. He forced himself on you. That bastard needs to be taught a lesson before heâs put into jail.â Aiden muttered under his breath which was way scarier than him blasting off.
I gripped his hands harder. âAiden, please think this through.â
I was now thinking that perhaps telling Aiden was not the best choice. Now he may actually have blood on his hands, and I would be the cause of it, yet again.
I feel my tummy twist and churn by the very thought.
âMitch.â Aiden gritted, glaring at the seat. âStep on it.â
My heart drops. It seems that no matter what I say now, Aiden would not change his mind.
We were nearing where I met up with Christopher and I gripped Aidenâs hand tightly. âAiden.â
Mitch stopped beside the curb and looked at Aiden through the rearview mirror. âWeâre here.â
Aiden nods, peeling himself away from me.
He gets out, looking at me. âItâs either you bring me to him or I find him myself.â
I shook my head. âIâm not going to risk losing you.â
The coldness in his eyes dimmed and he looked at me tenderly. âSoph. Iâll do anything for you, you know that. But what I canât do is sit here and let someone mistreat you like that. I swore to protect you, and that I will do.â
My heart jumps.
My eyes move off his. âI know Aiden. But that doesnât mean you have to risk your life for me. So no I refuse to bring you to that asshole.â
I prayed my defiance would make him see my point of view but I suppose it didnât.
âThatâs a risk Iâll always take Sophie. Iâll be back soon.â
Aiden leaves me open mouthed as I peer at his storming form. He enters the building, leaving me stunned in the car.
This will not end well.
I looked over at Mitch, glaring at him slightly. âCould you not have taken a wrong route? Or perhaps drive slow until I could figure out a way to change his mind?â
I knew he wasnât at fault and he was only doing his job but I was frustrated and he was the only one nearby to pass it all on.
Which is really awful of me to think about it.
Mitch winced. âSorry. Aidenâs my boss and I canât exactly disobey him.â
I breathed out a sigh, pushing myself closer to the door. âI know. Iâm sorry. Iâll be back.â
I stepped out of the car, my short legs surprisingly racing towards the building I came out of an hour ago. â
I found Aiden by the receptionist, slamming his palm on the countertop. The woman flinched, eyes wide with terror.
Never had I seen Aiden this furious before.
It was quite terrifying.
âAiden.â I grasp his elbow, pulling him away from the startled woman.
âThis isnât going to help. You canât do this like this.â I whispered under my breath as he raked a frustrating hand through his hair.
âThat sleazy bastard mustâve known I was coming for his ass. He went to hide like the fucking lapdog he is. â He sneered, pulling away from my hold so roughly I stumbled back.
âAre you sure Christopher Muralo isnât here anymore? âHe barked at the woman again, terrifying her enough to have her visibly shake like a leaf in the wind.
She shook her head no.
âHe clocked out thirty minutes ago with a woman. But he did leave a note for Sophie?â She looks over at me questioningly.
I looked at Aiden warily when I noticed him stiffening like a board.
My eyes drop to his hand, theyâre fisting and scaring me.
âGive it to me,â Aiden demanded her.
She nervously shook her head, backing away. âHe said to specifically give it to Sophi-
âGive it to me goddammit!â Aiden roared, his voice so loud attracted many eyes and ears.
I winced, rushing over to the front desk and smiling shakily for the woman. âIâm Sophie. You can give it to me.â
She nods, looking relieved, and quickly took a small note under a hardcover book.
She hands it to me.
Aiden comes behind me, his aura making me squirm as I slip the paper and read the words.
I grew rigid with disgust and anger.
You taste sweet, now I know why Xavier canât seem to stay away from you. See you soon beautiful X-Christopher Aiden rips the paper away from my grasp and storms away.
âAiden!â I called out in shock.
I looked back at the woman apologetically. âIâm sorry about this.â
With that, I whirl around and followed after a very swift Aiden.
âWhere are you going?!â
With that kind of walk and form, it would honestly be shocking if he was going home.
The Girl He Craves novel (Sophie and Aiden)
ï¤Chapter 168 The Billionaires Mistress ï¤Epilogue The Alpha and The Fool He was definitely planning to go after Christopher.
âTo pay an old man a visit.â He hissed under his breath.
E My eyes slightly widen.
Was he going to pay a visit to Sergio?
âSergio?â I voiced out.
He opens the door and helps me in while climbing in after me âYes Sergio. That fucker is the only one who would know where that sleazy fucker is. â
Aiden was really hell bent on making Christopher pay with his own hands.
âAiden I donât like this. Letâs just leave it to the cops please.â
âSophie. Iâll only leave it to the cops when Iâm done with the two.â
I donât say anything after that. What would be the point to?
Heâd not listen anyway.
We stay silent the entire ride until we got to Sergioâs mansion. Aiden was already out of the car before Mitch even stopped the moving vehicle.
