"oh, shit!" aurora yelped as a plastic bowl clattered to the ground, the substance staining her sweatpants. silence followed, and she sheepishly glanced at her phone, which had been propped up during a livestream. the comments began to flood, most of them laughing at her clumsiness.

aurora rolled her eyes, glancing down at the mess she had created.
"are you FUCKING KIDDING MEEE!" the brunette screeched, her eye twitching. everytime she was in the kitchen she seemed to make a mess. and to make it worse, she knew that people would clip it and make fun of her from all different angles.
"i'm going to end it all," she murmurs while she begins to clean the mess she's made. hearing her phone ring, she halted, glancing at the screen to read Josie's name. huffed before grabbing her phone.
"give me a sec," she told the viewers on the stream before accepting the call and holding the phone up to her ear, "hello?"
"hey! you should get ready." Josie began with an enthusiastic tone. Aurora frowned, her eyebrows drawing together.
"uh, why?"
"because i said so."
"okay, but why did you say so." Aurora continued. She could hear Josie exhale on the other line, and she grinned a bit, proud to know that she had already gotten on her nerves.
"if you don't get ready now, you're going to hate me. PLEASE just get dressed."
Aurora yawned, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, "i'm already dressed and out of the house, babe. sorry!"
"bitch, no you're not. i'm literally in your livestream."
at Josie's words, Aurora paused, a grimace on her face before she sighed.
"ughh, you can't just tell me why? are you on your way over or something?"
"yeah, sure. see you in a bit!" was all Josie said before hanging up the phone. Auroras thick eyebrows drew together in confusion. She stared at the livestream that had now resumed, reading the new comments that had rolled in.
"okay, everyone... unfortunately i think im gonna end it here." Aurora said while developing a sudden british accent, "new youtube video is dropping this tuesday! love you, byeeeee!"
she finally ended the stream, and released a deep sigh as she was suddenly left to sit in silence. Aurora had the house to herself once again, as her parents were out of town on a work trip. she didn't mind too much. at this point, she was rather used to the empty space.
Aurora began to make her way towards the living room, forgetting her previous conversation with Josie. not that she cared enough to begin with. she plopped down on the couch, kicking her legs up and flicking on the television.

Aurora's head lulled to the side as she nearly drifted into a dreamless slumber, her eyes fighting to stay open as she tuned out the noise coming from the television. a yawn forced its way past her lips, and she nuzzled her face further into the pillow before flinching at the sound of the doorbell ringing.
a muffled groan fell from her throat, and she slowly pushed herself to sit up. it must've been Josie. though the Reyes girl told her to get dressed, she hadn't been planning on coming until later that night.
she eventually stood to her feet, tucking a dark strand of hair behind her ear and making her way to the front door. reaching for the handle, she began to ramble.
"hey, Jo. i didn't think you'd be here till tonight. i've alreadyâ" once she finally lifted her head, Auroras globes grew wide at who stood in front of her.
Walker fucking scobell.
his dirty blonde curls falling over his soft, clear eyes, and Aurora quickly noted the hint red that dusted over his cheeks. in his large hands, was a colorful bouquet of flowers. he wore a simple pair of black jeans, with a faded pepper band tee, which was covered by a deep green button up jacket.
Aurora didn't know what to say. her lips were parted in shock, still taking in his presence.
"Hi, aurora." fuck. his voice. it was deep, though, she could tell he was hesitant, the way his eyes kept flicking across her features.
at her suffocating silence, he awkwardly offered her the bouquet, a small grin playing on his pink lips. Aurora blinked, her mind racing far too fast for her to function.
"uh, iâi brought you these. but, i wasn't sure which was your favorite, becauseâ well, i never asked." he chuckled at his own words, "so, i got them all. i hope you're not allergic, that would really suck."
Still, she said nothing.
"oh, shit. are you allergic?" he nervously glanced down at the flowers, realizing the arrangement may have been a bit much. the bouquet had roses, and daisies, and asters, and snowdrops, and many, many more.
in this moment, aurora was suddenly embarrassed, and she was reminded of her massive crush on the young actor. she felt so fucking vulnerable. her mouth had gone dry, tongue sticking to her gums as her manicured fingers tugged on the fabric of her stained sweatpants.
i should've listened to Josie, she thought to herself, recalling when her best friend told her to make herself look presentable before she regretted it.
unable to form words, aurora wasn't sure what to do besides step back and slam the door, leaving Walker to stand there all by his lonesome.
unaware of the quick growing ache she had caused in his chest.
