Aurora wiped her sweaty palms along the fabric of her pants, glancing at Walker, who nervously avoided her gaze. why was she so nervous? she felt like she was shitting bricks every time she heard his voice. She shoved another piece of popcorn into her mouth.
the two had finally made it to the movie, and it seemed like the day had dragged. Aurora couldn't wait to spend more time with Walker, and she hoped he had felt the same way.
Auroras eyes were trailed on the large screen in front of them, taking sips of her slurpee here and there. feeling a prying gaze, she glanced at Walker, who quickly turned away.
Aurora noticed that he did that a lot.
she could feel her cheeks heat up, and she knew that Walkers had done the same. it was a bit hard to focus on the film now. she offered the bucket of popcorn to him, trying not to make the situation awkward.
"no thanks" he whispered back, and Aurora nodded. she nibbled on the popcorn, and just as she reached in for another handful, she felt walkers hand graze hers.
"oh, sorryâ" the two both stammered before she narrowed her eyes.
"i thought you didn't want any." she whispered.
Walker met her gaze.
"i changed my mind."
there was a beat of silence between the two.
"okay. you can do that." she nodded. he chuckled at her antics before turning back to the screen. Aurora wasn't sure how, but Walker seemed even closer if possible. she glanced down, noticing her hand resting beside his. her finger twitched, and the pad of her thumb grazed his palm.
just do it you pussy, she screamed in her own mind. what if he didn't want her to? Aurora bit down on her tongue, building up the courage to make a move. only before she could, she was startled at finding Walker placing his hand over hers, curling his fingers around hers.
Aurora didn't hesitate to return the affection, her heart thumping fast against her chest.
holy fuck. I am so glad my nails are painted, she thought to herself, taking in a breath of air.
Walkers throat bobbed as their eyes locked into a deep gaze for a long moment, "is this okay?"
Aurora smiled softly, "more than okay."
he mirrored her grin, quickly taking in her features before turning back towards the film. Aurora gently rested her head on his shoulder, her cheeks and neck growing even more red if possible.
