CHAPTER FOURTEEN - can't sleep?

"hey" "hi" I said to Hector before hugging him. It was a tight and deep hug. When I let go I got a side eye from Adam. In response I mouthed 'shut up'. He jokingly blew me a kiss and I rolled my eyes.
"So where to first?" Pau asked. "Central park?" I suggested. "I thought Times Square" Lamine told us. "It's not even dark yet and we can walk over there when it's dark" "walk over?" lamine asked. "it's like 15 minutes on foot, totally doable" "okay then vamos. Central park it is"
We walked around the park for a good while. I mostly talked to Hector, but we talked a lot with Pau too. "Elisa" "Lamine" "talk to me" "why?" "because you moved across the continent and I barely see you anymore and you haven't talked to me this evening" "And you immediately bring up Bayern" "I'm allowed to bring up Bayern" "Not so sure about that" "Anyway tell me. What's going on in your life?" "You're one of my best friends. You know like everything about my life" "uh lie. There's only so many things I can know when living in another country and we barely talked in Dubai" "That's because you were too busy talking to your girlfriend" "you really don't like her?" "I don't like cheaters" "So since Amine there has not been like a guy?" "No not really" "not really?" "one small tiny prospect, but I'm not telling you about that" "oh please" "no"
We got to our Airbnb at like 11pm and we were all jet lagged and tired, so immediately went to bed. I was really tired, but couldn't fall asleep. I don't know why. I was just rolling around my bed trying to fall asleep for hours. I fell asleep at one point, but woke up still tired. I looked at my phone and it was still not even 4am. I sighed and got up. I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. "jesus!" I said scared wehen I saw Hector sitting at the counter. "oh sorry" I went over to the cupboard and grabbed a glass. "why are you up?" "can't sleep. You?" "yeah me neither" After I drank my water I walked up to Hector and put my head on his shoulder. "so what are you doing" "scrolling through my camera roll, because I am just that bored" I took my hand up to his hair and started to lightly stoke it and then yawned. "You're tired" "I am, but I still can't sleep" he got up, "come on" "what?" he grabbed my hand, "come with me" he walked to my room. What was he doing? He laid down in my bed. He just looked at me and signalled that I should lie next to him with his eyes. I got into bed and cuddled up with him. I started stroking his hair again. Pretty soon my eyes fell shut and I fell asleep.
"morning" I said to Adam when I got to the kitchen. "good morning. So you know funny thing. When I got up this morning I saw that Hectors door was open and he wasn't in his room or anywhere" "that is so funny" "could that be because he woke up in your bed?" "it's not what you think" "so he did wake up next to you" "it's not what you think. There was no sex involved or even kissing, just cuddling"
"So what are we doing today?" Hector asked me when entering my bathroom while I was doing my makeup. "I got this shoot thing today, so I'm just going to join whatever you guys are doing in the evening" "yeah right. Can I come with you?" "what?" "to your shoot thing" "You want to come with me? Wouldn't you rather see New York?" "no, I'd much rather see you" he said and I could feel my face getting warm. "Okay, you can come with me if you want" "great" he said and kissed my cheek before going out of my bathroom. I was blushing hard now.
"Okay so what now? Are you hungry?" Hector asked after we got out of the shoot. "A bit" "Okay so what do you want to eat?" "Hm?" "I'm taking you out to lunch. "seriously?" "yeah. So what do you want to eat?" "Korean?" "okay. Korean it is"
We were walking through New York just talking while getting to the others with my arm intertwined with his. "Elisa?" "Jamal!" I said before giving him a quick hug. "Ich hab vergessen, dass du auch hier bist" "Ist das der typ mit dem du immer schreibst oder telefonierst?" he asked after I gave his sister a quick hug as well. "Vielleicht" "ah okay. Ich frag Adam über ihn aus. Wir sehen uns spätestens im training?" "hoffentlich"
("I forgot that you're here too" "Is this the guy you are always calling or texting with?" he asked after I gave his sister a quick hug as well. "Maybe" "ah okay. I'll question Adam about him later. We will see us at training latest?" "hopefully")
We spent the rest of the day just exploring the city with the other three. I got the occasional sceptic look from Adam when I was talking to Hector or just looking at him. I do kind of regret telling Adam that I like Hector. I was already lying in bed but still on my phone.

Right after I posted the story the door to my room opened and Hector entered. I threw a piece of the blanket to the side signalling him to join me in bed. He did and I put my phone on the nightstand. I laid my upper body onto his and he put both of his arms around me. I looked up at him and kissed his cheek before lying my head back down on his shoulder. I started stroking his hair and in response he started stroking my back. I felt my smile grow on my face. I don't know when we're just lying there, cuddling, I feel safe and comfortable and I don't know how else to describe it. It's an incredible feeling. I've never had that before not with anyone. It's just that I feel safe with him, I feel comfortable with him, I really like him, but he isn't making a move. Not a real one at least. Of course we're lying in my bed cuddling for the like fourth time in the last few days, but we haven't even kissed and I really really want for him to kiss me and not just my cheek or the top of my head. I want for him to kiss my lips and I want to make out with him and I want so much more, but he hasn't fucking kissed me. I just hope he does soon, because I hate this situation.
