CHAPTER ONE - Wembley

Friday evening, 25th of October, Wembley.
"Big day", the captain of my country spoke up. "are you nervous?" she continued. "Just a little" "You'll win us the game tonight, I'm sure. You always do" "Ive only played against England once before" "You scored the goal that got us into the final. Not to mention you in that final. Okay you'll kill it out there" she said and then walked away.
We led 2-1 going into halftime. One penalty and one open game goal, me having provided the assist. Our coach was happy but said we couldn't become careless now, obviously.
England equalised in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute our captain was subbed off. She jogged towards me. "Du schaffst das schon, kleine. Viel Glück" (you can do it, little one. Good luck) she said while putting the armband around my arm and then jogging off the pitch. It felt surreal.
I placed the football right in front of me and took a couple steps back. I was standing a couple meters out of the box and to the left of the goal. Shot was maybe 25m. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take though, right? So I took the shot. It was a really really clean shot and it went in.
A minute later I got a pass from my teammate. There were some of Englands defenders in the way. I have an advantage though. Im a quick thinker and fast. My dribbling skills also helped. I made my way past the defenders, running towards the goal. I was inside the box, only the goalkeeper near me. I wouldn't get better conditions anymore. England 2 - Germany 4.
67th minute. I was embarrassing the England defenders with my teammate. Till one of the managed to get to the ball and we got a corner. My teammate mate a beautiful cross and I put the ball into the right upper corner with my head, leaving the goalkeeper no chance.
England went on to score in the 78th, but we responded with a goal in the 82nd me providing the assist. So when the final whistle blew after extra time I went to hug my teammate. Winning 3-6 to England is huge, even if it's a friendly.
"You are unbelievable. How are you so good?" my teammate, Jule, asked. "If you want the real answer it's La Masia. But thank you" "Thank you for winning us the game" "It was my pleasure, but seriously it isn't all me." "Youre most of it." "Thank you, Jule"
"See told you you'd win us the game. A while after the game ended I went over to my cousin and her boyfriend who were watching the game. "Every time I see you play it makes me feel a little worse about myself" "Well considering you've known me since you were 7 you must be depressed" I said to Marc before greeting him with a hug. "Im so proud of you, prima" my cousin said while I hugged her. "Thank you. Who is Chelsea playing next?" I asked Marc. "Newcastle on Sunday" "You going to play?" "I don't think so, no" "Maybe Wednesday. We're playing them in the league cup" "You should've stayed in Barcelona" "You left too" "And now Im Germanys captain and going to the Ballon D'or on Monday. You hope to sit on the bench" "Babe, help me out here" "She has a point" "She plays for Bayern Munich. If I recall right Barcelona beat the 4-1 just yesterday" "That's because I don't play on that team. I always score against Barcelona or Spain" "That's true isn't it?" "yeah."
"I have to go now. I'll see you in December" I said after we talked for a while. "I'll visit you if I can", Nat said.

I killed it and still we lost, because you couldn't kick a ball straight" "I wasnt that bad" I just stayed silent. "yeah okay I was that bad" "thank you for admitting that." "You'll watch the clasico?" "Think before you speak. Of course I will" "Cheer me on?" "Yeah of course. Now don't you need your beauty sleep?" "yeah, probably" "well I definitely need mine. So I'm going to hang up." "Buenas noches, hermana. See you Monday" "Yeah. Good night"
