"Well, after he came back from looking for his mate, he was very angry. Easily irritated. He would snap at everyone and was very controlling, overall." My mother started the story.
"Earlier today, a young pack member asked him a simple question and he was full on screaming at her," Dad continued the story.
I looked at the group gathered in our dinning and meeting area. I spotted Mia sitting with her mother and still looking terrified. I opened my arms in her direction and she came running towards me.
My mom has been friends with Lisa long before I was born. I was there the day Mia was born, five years ago. She's an only child and views Lio and I as her siblings.
I sat her on my lap as Julio continued the story. "I couple hours ago, we decided we had enough, but we had no idea what to do next. That is, until your mom mentioned you were now an Alpha. In a rush we packed a few things and left."
I processed what he said for a few moments. "This is a big decision that would affect my pack as a whole. Although I lead this pack, I don't make these types of decisions alone. I will hold a pack meeting tomorrow and discuss this with them." I paused and looked at them. They had a mixture of hopeful and dreadful expressions. "For tonight, you're welcome to stay in the pack house."
They voiced their thank you's and I directed a couple members to show them the way. As everyone left, my mom stayed back.
"Hola corazón," she said as she sat in the chair next to me. "You've been saying you want to tell me something, but face to face. Is now a good time?"
"Yes," I told her smiling and angled my body towards her. " I have found relatives from both my parents sides."
Her eyes widened as her mouth dropped open. "Mi amor, that's amazing! How? When? How are they? When can I meet them?"
"Mamá, calm down." I laughed at her enthusiasm. I wasn't the only one who wanted to meet them. My mom had always wanted to meet her best friend's family.
"Oh, I'm just so excited. Belle always wanted you to meet her family, though she never specified why you couldn't." She paused, debating if should tell me something. "I didn't want to tell you before to not get you're hopes up, but I've secretly been looking for your parent's relatives."
"It turns out that they changed their last names. Their last names are Alvarez and Martinez. They were the children of Alpha's; both of our neighboring packs." I paused to let her absorb the information.
"Their packs were not on good terms and were not supportive when they found out their children were mates. So, they ran."
After a couple moments, my mom spoke. "It makes sense, now. Why they were so secretive. Hardly spoke of any family."
"You'll get to meet the family soon, but for now, how about we head to bed. There's a bedroom prepared on my floor."
She nodded and I led the way.
After gathering the pack and explaining the situation, the majority voted for them to stay. The new pack members were to stay in the pack house, until the new houses were built.
"Corazón, now that this is taken care of, could we meet your parents families?" My mother asked as we walked to the pack house.
"I'll give them a call. If they agree, we can go after I call the king," I replied, opening the door for her.
"The king? Why do you need to call him?"
"Lo qué pasó ayer no fue algo pequeño. El rey se tiene que enterar de lo que está pasando," I told her as we headed to my office.
"Qué crees que va a pasar?" She had a nervous look on her face.
"No sé, Ma. It's all up to the king. He may appoint a new Alpha."
We reached the door to my office and she nodded. "I'll let you get to it then. Don't forget to call the other alpha's."
I nodded and entered my office. I dialed the King's number and waited a moment.
"Hello, Alpha Camila," he greeted.
"Hello, King Matthews. I've got some information to share."
"Continue," his tone became formal at my words.
"A part of Alpha Darius' pack has seeked shelter in my pack. They claim their Alpha has lost control and they fear for their safety."
It was quiet for a moment. "Thank you for informing me. I'll have the council open an investigation."
"If any aid is needed, my pack will be happy to help."
"That is appreciated, Now," he said, his tone changing to a more friendly one. "How is everything going?"
"It's good. I'm getting to know my parents' families. They're quite happy to get to know me."
"That's great," Roman said, with much enthusiasm. "Now, I have some news I need to share with you." His tone, once again, changed to a serious one.
"Alright, What is it?"
"I found one case of a full blooded Alpha, who had two Alpha parents."
"Who?" I questioned. I frowned and my heart started to sped up.
"It was many centuries ago when the first royal wolf was born."
