Heyy guys!
Happy reading!!

"What are you doing?"
I looked up from my computer and saw Lori and McKenna walking into the living room.
"Homework and paperwork."
Lori let herself fall onto the L-shapes couch as McKenna sat on the love seat. "You work too much. Don't you ever take a break."
I looked at McKenna before focusing on my laptop. "It's not work, it's my life. My pack is my responsibility."
They were quiet, and I continued working.
"You know," Lori began, "I'm excited to go to your pack. You already seem to be a much better Alpha than Darius."
I grinned at her. "I'm glad you think so. It's going to be a little cramped until we can build something more permanent."
"How are you doing?" McKenna asked me, referring to what happened yesterday.
"I'm fine. I've been over that whole situation for a while now."
"That's good," Lori said standing up. "We finished packing up, so you're coming with us to get ice cream."
I looked up from the computer to see their hopeful smiles and exaggerated puppy dog eyes.
"Okay, but I'm driving."
"Oh c'mon! It was one time," Lori whined.
"One time last year and then another one at the beginning of this year. No creas que no me acuerdo."
Lori rolled her eyes. "They were minor accidents, and I still have my license."
McKenna piped in, "And I still don't know how that happened."
"Whatever, let's just go." Lori stomped outside and plopped herself in the passenger seat of my car. McKenna and I followed her, laughing.
Lori immediately turned the volume up as soon as the car was on, and we spent the car ride singing.
After we got our ice cream, we drove back to the pack house. As we got there, I saw many more pack members had arrived from home.
The front door open and my parents walked out, heading in my direction. I got out of the car and greeted them with a hug.
"Hey guys, cómo están?"
"We're good. Everyone is almost done packing." My mom said, before turning to McKenna and Lori. "Hello girls."
"Hello Ma'am." They turned towards my dad. "Hello sir."
Lori turned her attention towards me. "We're gonna go see who we can help." I nodded and they left.
"So, what's the progress?" I asked my parents.
"It's good. We brought some of your pack members to help and almost everyone is done. We may even be able to leave tomorrow." My dad told me.
"Oh, that's great! I'm so ready to go home." I told them as we headed to the pack house.
"Hmm, I wonder why," my mom said with a smirk.
The next morning everyone was ready to leave and we began the long trip home. We had to make many, many stops for food and bathroom breaks. Lori, McKenna, and I took turns driving my car.
When we finally reached the pack borders, it was noon. I parked by the stage and got off the car. All around me, cars and trucks were pulling in and people from the house were coming out.
I walked onto the stage. "Everyone, listen up." Everyone walked closer to the stage. "We are going to move the new members into their temporary space until something more permanent is built. We're all going to help them, and as a reward for everyone's cooperation, we're having a pack dinner and run. Everyone just find someone to help."
"Yes, Alpha," was my reply and everyone scattered to different directions. I headed to the closest truck and began helping with unloading a dresser.
Very quickly, it was late into the evening and everyone was settled in. "Sis!" I heard from across the yard. I turned in time to see Lio running full force at me. "I missed you."
He squished me into his arms, causing me to laugh. "I missed you too." He pulled away and I saw Zach behind him. I reached out to hug him too.
"Hey Cami. How was the trip?" He asked, slinging an arm around me.
"It was good. I got to see many people I missed."
"That's- ," he suddenly froze before slowly turning around. "Mate."
I leaned to the far right and saw who he was staring at.
Lori.
I pushed his shoulder. "Well, go introduce yourself, genius. Don't just stand there."
He nodded, took a deep breath, and walked in her direction.
"So, I got a surprise for you," Eli told me, a mischievous smile on his face.
I grinned. "Is it chocolate?"
He rolled his eyes. "Why is that always your first guess?
I shrugged. "Well, it's not. The surprise is inside the house." He made an exaggerated gesture towards the house. I fast walked towards the house.
Upon opening the door, a familiar smell filled the house. "Hey." Someone peeked out from around the doorway.
Elijah.
I grinned, running towards him. He opened his arms and caught me. We stayed that way for a minute.
I lifted my head. "Hey," I grinned.
"Hey," he smiled softly at me. "I missed you."
I got up on my tiptoes and kissed him.
"Well, that's my cue to leave." I turned around in time to see Lio awkwardly walk out the door. Elijah and I both laughed at my brother's antics.
"How was your trip?" He asked me.
"It was good. Darius was removed of his tittle and sent to the king's prison."
Elijah's eyes widened. "Woah. And how do you feel about that."
I shrugged. "Indifferent. I don't care about him."
He hugged me again, resting his head on top of mine. "Well, let's go get some food."
He grabbed my hand and pulled me outside, in the direction of the brisket.
Walking out the door, I stopped for a second. "What's wrong?" Eli looked back confused.
I looked around at my surroundings. My pack members and new pack members were all conversing. Some were eating, while others were dancing. Everyone was smiling or laughing.
Looking at Eli, my smile turned into a grin.
"Nothing's wrong. Everything is perfect."
