The objection from my pack member turned out to be a demand to see my fighting skills. He asked and I delivered by fighting the packs top warriors.
Once that was out of the way, all of my pack members returned to the gathering hall and we began planning.
"Today's focus is on the visual part of the pack, meaning we're cleaning, dusting, and washing among other things." Judging by the pack members' faces, they all agreed so far.
"While we're all busy, and from here on out, we need to establish patrols around the whole territory. A group of 15 warriors will patrol for 8 hours before switching out with another group of warriors. Warriors not patrolling will go around helping where ever necessary. Is that clear?" A group to my right nodded.
"Will all warriors head over to Beta Ryan. He will divide y'all into groups and assign shifts." The warriors followed Ryan out the door and I focused my attention back on the remaining warriors. "Y'all will be divided into three groups. One will clean the playground and watch the children, another will cut the grass, and another will focus on washing and cleaning the gathering hall and pack house."
"Yes, Alpha," was my response.
I divided them up and we all got to work. The cut grass automatically made the pack grounds more presentable. It got better once the grime was removed from the buildings' exterior. By four o'clock everyone finished. We had a pack dinner to celebrate today's progress.
Eventually, everyone returned to the gathering hall for the second part of the plan. We decided on the warriors'training plan and finances of the pack.
And so, for the next three months, we built the pack back up. I also managed to complete my senior year courses in that time. By the end of the summer, I was applying to online college courses preparing to take over the pack's company.
Since the pack was already shaping up and slowly climbing the ranks in regards to strength, there was one thing left.
The king's visit.
