"Please, I really want you to meet them!" Lío pleaded.

"Fine! But I can't stay long. I'm going to Alvarez's pack today."

"Deal," he replied and ran out the room. He wanted me to meet his school friends and I had finally agreed.

Lio ran back with my car keys and practically pushed me out of the house. We ended up in the human town at a small dinner. Lio looked around the booths and found his friends at the very back. We zig zagged through the crowded room before reaching three guys, Zach, and a girl.

"Hey guys!" Lio greeted them and gestured towards me. "This is my sister, Camila."

They studied me for a second before introducing themselves.

"I'm Matt," a blonde haired guy started. His arm was around the brown haired girl. "I'm Melanie, but you can call me Mel."

"I'm Chris," a blue eyed guy said with a welcoming smile.

"Elijah," the guy at the end of the table said. My eyes slightly widened as I realized that I recognized him. He was one of Alvarez's guards. He looked at me with widened eyes as his jaw dropped. He turned to my brother. "Your sister is the Alpha of the Rose Thorn Pack?"

Lio smiled sheepishly and scratched the back of his neck. "Did I not mention that?"

They all broke out into nervous laughter. "No, you didn't," Matt replied.

"Would have been nice to know beforehand," Chris piped in.

"What's the big deal? Your brother is an Alpha," Lio directed the question at Chris. That caught my attention.

"Whose your brother?" I asked.

"Alpha Alvarez. He speaks very highly of you," he replied.

I nodded. "I'm actually heading over to your pack today," I turned my attention to everyone else. "Are y'all also a part of Alvarez' pack?"

They all nodded.

"Why haven't we seen you at school?" Mel spoke up.

"I graduated early. Figured it would make it easier to handle all of my Alpha responsibilities."

" That's was a smart idea," Matt commented.

Chris cracked a grin. "I'm surprised you know what a smart idea is."

" I have more than two brain cells, you know," Matt replied as he rolled his eyes.

"Could have fooled me."

"Says the guy who managed to trip at a pack gathering and cause the food table to fall."

"It was an accident," Chris practically yelled as the whole table stared in amusement. "And it was his fault," he continued, pointing at Elijah.

Elijah raised both hands. "Don't drag me into this. I'm not even finished eating." With that he returned his focus on his burger.

I looked at my watch and realized I should be leaving soon if I wanted to get to Alvarez's pack on time. "Well guys, this was fun but I've got to go," I said as I stood up.

"We'll probably see you later," Chris said. I nodded and waved at everyone. I hugged my brother before heading towards the door.

The ride to Alvarez's pack was short and I found him waiting for me at the border of his pack.

"Good to see you again, Cami," He greeted as he stretched his hand out.

"Likewise Alv." I returned his greeting and crossed the pack border. "Where we headed to first?"

"I can show you around the pack house and then you can meet my pack members. How does that sound?"

"Pretty good." We kept walking through the forest for a good ten minutes just making small talk. We soon reached a small clearing that held the pack house and multiple smaller houses. People of all ages were roaming around going about their day. There was a relaxed atmosphere as everyone smiled and interacted with each other. The sight brought a small smile to my face. This is what I wanted for my pack.

"Alpha Alvarez!" A group of children ran in our direction and all started talking at once. A looked at the scene amused as Alv tried to get them to talk one at a time.

He finally succeeded and a small boy steeped forward glancing between Alv and I. "Will y'all play tag with us?" He had big doe eyes and looked adorable. And that was how we ended up playing tag for an hour. As the game of tag ended, the children were still bouncing with energy and ran to find others to play with.

I turned towards Alv who had the same tired expression as me and laughed. He soon joined in, leaving his pack to stare at us weirdly.

"C'mon. I'll give you a tour of the pack house." I followed him to the biggest building. As we neared, the door opened and a pregnant lady walked out. She looked around before her eyes landed on us.

"I was just about to go look for you. Dinner's ready." She turned towards me and gave me a warm smile. "You must be Alpha Rodriguez."

"Yes ma'am. And you are?"

"Luna Alvarez," she replied with an outstretched arm.

"Well good thing I referred to you as ma'am, then," I reply as I shook her hand. She laughed and pushed us inside towards a room on the left. There was a huge table filled to the brim with food, mainly meat.

"Is there anything you need help with?" I offered as more people trickled in.

She waved her hands at me. "No, no, no. Everything is ready." She pointed towards the table. "You're a guest so you sit on the right side of the head of the table." I nodded and walked to my seat as everyone stared at me curiously.

"Hey, Alpha," I heard from behind me. I turned to see Chris and the rest of the pack members I met at the dinner.

"Hey guys. How's it going?"

"Great."

"Good."

"Amazing"

"Awsome."

They all replied as they took the seats next to me. "How are you liking our pack?"

"It's great. I love it, honestly," I replied. They all beamed with pride.

"I'm glad you think so." Alv spoke next to me before turning his attention to the rest of the people. "Everyone, please welcome Alpha Rodriguez. She is our guest." Everyone clapped and a chorus of hello's were heard. I smiled at everyone before we all turned our attention to Alv. It was customary for the Alpha to begin eating first.

Dinner was filled with jokes and laughs. After we finished, Alv, everyone I met at the dinner, and I headed to the living room. It was a big space with a large tv on one side and couches on the opposite. The pictures under the tv caught my attention and I headed over to look at one. There were multiple pictures of Chris and Alv and of their family. One picture in particular caught my eye, and I picked the frame up. Upon closer inspection, my suspicions were confirmed and the frame went crashing down.

Alv stood up in alert as the rest of them looked at me with widened eyes. "Are you okay? Did the glass cut you?" He slowly walked towards me, the crunch sound under his shoes was suddenly very loud m

"Who is that woman?" I asked, ignoring his questions completely.

Alv glanced between the broken frame and me before replying. "She's my aunt?" He guided me away from the glass and sat me down on the couch after making sure I was not stabbed by the glass. "Why do you ask?"

I looked at all of them before replying.

"She's my mother."
