Up ahead were Master Tie and the Female Demon.

Master Tie looked pale, with bloodstains hanging from the corner of his mouth. He was so weak that he could not even stand, yet he kept pushing to activate the Judge’s Pen.

Tears were all over the Female Demon’s face, she clung to Master Tie and said through gritted teeth: “You jackass, everyone from the Mountain River Academy is dead, they’re all dead. Why are you being so stubborn, do you want to lose your life?”

Master Tie barely managed to look back at the Female Demon. He smirked and said, “Some things need to be seen through to the end. I’ve let you down. Even if all the people from the Mountain River Academy are dead, the academy needs to show its mettle to the world.”

The horrifying True Essence fluctuation from the two was constantly being eroded by the black sand. Especially on Master Tie’s face, there was a hint of black within his paleness, which brought a wave of uncertainty upon Yang Zhen’s heart.

Naughty Cat sneered, “This old man is so obstinate it’s ridiculous. With his current realm, he can’t possibly break the Heaven and Earth Sealing inside the Ancient Demonic Pattern, unless he can breakthrough to the Heavenly Realm right now. Otherwise, he’s doomed.”

Yang Zhen felt a twitch in his heart, as he looked into the eyes of Master Tie looking at the Female Demon. For some reason, he suddenly thought of Xiao Juliang.

Xiao Juliang was alone, amidst heaven and earth, all alone facing the various problems brought about by the Tri-Floral Saintess. Even with her family around, she might as well have been alone.

Master Tie might be stubborn, but at least he had the Female Demon fiercely sticking with him through thick and thin.

Yang Zhen, out of the blue, wanted to play the part of a hero who saves mankind in order to protect the innocent from the onslaught of the Ancient Demonic Pattern. After all, wasn’t Master Tie also an innocent?

Then, the Female Demon gave a sorrowful smile and said, “You haven’t let anyone down, it’s the Mountain River Academy that let you down, it’s this world, it was wrong.”

A thunderous noise echoed and in the darkened sky above, there were signs of heaven and earth disturbance. As thunderbolts surged forth, the faces of Master Tie and the Female Demon changed drastically.

Master Tie, seemingly finding strength from nowhere, pushed the Female Demon away.

The Female Demon let out a poised smile, looked at the terrifying black sand in the sky, and said, “Do you really think I can make it out of here now?”

Master Tie shivered, glanced back at the Female Demon, his eyes filled with reluctance. Then he stared blankly, surprisedly said, “Yang Zhen?”

Hearing the name Yang Zhen, the Female Demon turned her head swiftly, hastily moving towards him and said, “Yang Zhen, although it may not be correct to say this, but…if you have a way, please save Master Tie.”

Yang Zhen looked at Master Tie, shook his head and said, “I can’t save him.”

The Female Demon trembled, tears rapidly falling down, murmuring herself: “Is there really no way!”

Seeing how distraught the Female Demon had become, Master Tie forced a bitter smile, was about to say something, when Yang Zhen’s voice came again, “Have you… ever risked your life for someone?”

A hint of confusion flashed in the Female Demon’s eyes, she subconsciously shook her head and asked, “What do you mean by that?”

Yang Zhen chuckled, squinting his eyes toward the back of Master Tie, and said, “The one who can save Master Tie is not me, but you!”

“Me?”

It was only then that the Female Demon understood what Yang Zhen meant, she nodded hastily and said, “Just say it, I’ll do anything to save Master Tie.”

“No, you’re out of your mind, don’t listen to Yang Zhen.”

Master Tie’s face changed abruptly, he hastily said.

Yang Zhen hummed, looking at Master Tie and said, “It seems that Master Tie knows this method.”

“What can knowing do, how can I live on, she will die, she will die.”

“Do you think death is so important to me?” The female demon suddenly laughed, looking pretty and charming, almost fully showcasing the allure of a woman.

Master Tie was stunned and was about to speak, but Yang Zhen suddenly said, “That’s enough, I’d say both of you have flattered each other plenty already. With Sao Saint here, neither of you needs to die today.”
