Chapter 12: 010 - Don't eat raw cookie dough!

My Mum Is A Powerful Witch | Reader x DSMPWords: 7068

A/N: Sorry again for the long wait, I've been doing a little bit of everything lately, enjoy!

let's take a small break from [Name]. This should be the last Tommy chapter :)

Tommy POV:

I snuggled into myself. The bed felt far larger than it normally did.

I cracked open my eyes.  The walls are a bright F/C shade. There is a dresser pushed to the side. A small desk is set up by a skinny bookshelf. Chests are littered around the room.

This is not my room...

My eyes widened. I jump out of the comfortable bed, bouncing the soft blanket off of me and onto the ground.

"[Name]?" I yelled my mom's name. I pledged in my mind that she was fine and I'm just being worried for nothing.

When nothing spoke back to me I creep towards the door. I slipped through the doorway carefully. My eyes land on a familiar hallway with three other doors.

I'm safe.

Wait that must be [Name]'s room?!

I walk down the hallway and onto the stairs. My heart rate slowed down to it's normal speed.

I was worried for nothing. I'm fine. I'm still home...

"[Name]?"

"Are you here?"

Normally she would answer by now. Where is she? I turn into the kitchen, dark wooden cabinets lined the room. An old stove sat near the small icebox. A thin yellow slip stuck to the door of the icebox. I grabbed the note.

"Heyy Toms,

I'm sorry to tell you in this note and not in person. I promise I'll be home soon, I just gotta deal with something important to me.

Love mum."

The writing was neat. Something most couldn't comprehend. I folded the sticky note and slipped it into my pocket. Shourd crawled over to me.

"Looks like it's just me and you, bud."

His red eyes were unfocused. Each one looked in different directions. I peeked out the kitchen window, golden light shine in the room. I bathe in the sunlight. It has been so long since I enjoyed the sun. I miss just messing around with my friends...

Shourd crept up into my arms and hissed at me. Making me focus on him and not my thoughts.

"You're right. I need to focus on something else."

He hissed again, this time he faces the door. The doorknob moves a couple of times. Shourd crawls off me.

Shit. Dream must be here!

My fight or flight instinct set off. My body froze in place. I couldn't move, not when Dream could be here.

"Tommy?" The brown hair male voiced. Cat ears peak out of his hair.

Antfrost. Thanks, Prime.

He might know where my mum is. My body moved on it. I could feel my legs stumble forward to Ant, I just need a company is all.

"Are you feeling okay, Tommy?"

"... Yeah."

"Do you know where [Name] went?"

"She's fine don't worry. Just had witch things to do." Ant patted me on the back. "How about we make her something for when she gets back?"

I racked my mind for something sweet to make for my mum.

Pie? No, our pumpkins aren't fully grown yet.

Cake? Is it two cups of sugar or two eggs? I can never remember the recipe.

Cookies? Those are easy to make! I think I still have the recipe, Niki gave me.

"How about we make cookies!"

"Okay."

We both got to work with the best cookie recipe. Ant gathered all the ingredients well I mix them up. We both roll them out and place them onto a pan.

"Don't eat the chocolate chips, Tommy!"

"M'k," I said through a mouthful of chocolate. I couldn't help but throw a few down my throat. Ant lightly places the tray of rolled-up cookie dough into the oven.

"Now we wait." He smiled. He walked over to the nearby rocking chair. He shifted in his cat form and dipped his craws in [Name]'s favourite chair. It rocked back and forth with each movement.

.

..

...

"I don't like waiting." I sputtered in frustration.

"Why don't you go read a book or something?" Ant suggested.

"I guess," I said to Ant. He gave me a simple nod. I dash out of the kitchen and hop up the stairs. Skipping each other one like I did when I was younger.

Her bedroom door stood open, I stepped inside. The room was light in golden sunlight. I ran my hand on the books on the bookshelf. Rubbing each book lightly, each cover felt soft to the touch, which was likely due to the leather the spine was made from. One book leaned over the edge of the bookshelf. I grabbed it without thinking. Flipping the cover to face me.

'Our letters.'

I open it slowly. Pages upon pages of paper sat on top of the book cover. Each one was neatly folded into rectangles.

"What are all these?"

I slipped one in between my fingers.

"𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘔𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘺,

I picked up another one. It was as if the air had been sucked out of my lungs, suffocating me.

"𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘔𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘺,

𝘐'𝘮 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥. 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.

𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, Dream."

My knees unbuckle and I fell to the ground. Dream is [Name]'s brother. They're family... she lied. She gonna give me back to Dream... I need to leave!

"You shouldn't be reading those."

I turn at the deep voice to be faced with an all too familiar mask. I look up at him, well he looked down at me.

"D-Dream!"

"It's time to come home, Tommy."

"N-no! This is my home!"

He shooked his head and bent down to my level and I felt a weight on my head. The lids of my eyes were heavy and I couldn't see anything. I screamed her name, begging her to save me. But no one came.
