Chapter 127: Chapter 127 The Contempt from Tang Chu

Chen Hao and the rest left for Homecook Kitchen Restaurant in their cars.

They were shocked to see Chen Hao’s Lamborghini at first, but Tang Zhu soon explained it to them, telling them how profligate he was in spending money.

Surely enough, the Wei siblings, who were originally impressed by Chen Hao, shot a look of disdain at him.

They felt that it was such a waste that the luxury car was driven by a loser like Chen Hao.

In regards to that, Chen Hao only smiled indifferently.

Anyway, it was Wei Qiang's time to shine.

He gave a call to his friend in Jin Ling and brought everyone to the nice private room that he had booked at the Homecook Kitchen Restaurant.

Everyone was astonished, especially Tang Chu.

“Hey! Wei Qiang. I never knew that you have such connections in Jin Ling. Haha, Homecook Kitchen Restaurant is indeed a high class place. It feels honorable to dine here!”

“Unlike someone who only knows places where the mossbacks would go to.”

Looking at the surroundings in the private room, Tang Chu fell in love with it.

“Great. Glad to know that you like it. My friends are regular customers here in Homecook Kitchen Restaurant. We can come again next time! What do you think of this place, Tongxin?”

Wei Qiang smiled as he directed his gaze towards Su Tongxin.

Obviously, he ignored Chen Hao on purpose.

It was because Wei Qiang felt superior to Chen Hao as he came from a rich family while Chen Hao was just a loser who won the lottery. The guy did not have any strong background at all.

“It’s fine.”

What could Su Tongxin say? She could only nod her head and reply with a simple remark.

“Wei Qiang, you’re in third year now. It’s about time for your internship next year. What are your plans?

Are you thinking about continuing your studies abroad or do you have any other goals?” Tang Chu asked delightfully.

“I might stay here and establish a startup company instead. My dream is to have my own company!

Haha…”

“What a great plan. Currently, the economy in our country is quite good. You’ll have a bright future if you become the CEO of your own company!”

Tang Chu nodded her head in approval.

Looking at her cousin’s boyfriend who sat at his place quietly, she was totally disappointed in him.

Indeed, Tang Chu could tell the difference between the people who were promising and the ones who weren't at a glance. Obviously, Chen Hao was categorized as the unpromising type of person. He wouldn’t be successful in his entire life!

“Chen Hao, I wonder what your plans are for an internship. Are you planning to work in a news bureau or editorial department?”

Wei Qiang sneered as he looked at Chen Hao.

“I haven’t decided. I might take up some courses relevant to Economic Management,” Chen Hao said indifferently.

“Haha, with the little money that you’ve won from the lottery, do you think that you’re able to take elective courses in Economic Management? Chen Hao, I think it’s better for you to look at companies for an internship. You should also get yourself some insurance and save some funds in order to secure yourself a wife.”

Tang Chu burst out in laughter at once.

It was because she majored in Economic Management abroad.

It was hilarious for her to hear that Chen Hao wanted to study the subject.

Chen Hao understood her implicit message through her words. She was obviously hinting to him that she didn’t approve of him dating Su Tongxin.

Su Tongxin quickly distracted Tang Chu with other conversation topics.

The dishes came just in time.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is the La Romanee-Conti wine from our restaurant. Please enjoy it!” A waitress came in with a bottle of red wine courteously.

“La Romanee-Conti? I’m not dreaming, am I? This is the red wine brand which ranks the first among the top ten most luxurious red wine brands in the world!”

Tang Chu and Wei Lin were left astonished when they heard the waitress introduced the brand of the red wine.

They lived abroad for many years, hence they had some knowledge on red wine.

“Bring it here, I want to see if it’s genuine.”

Tang Chu blushed in surprise. She carefully took a look at the red wine bottle over and over. She was even more excited after she had finished looking at it. “It's a genuine one!”

“Really? I want to look at it too!” Wei Lin was thrilled as well.

All of them finally looked at Wei Qiang surprisingly. They thought he was considered superb at the beginning. But now they realized that he was more impressive than they could imagine after seeing the red wine bottle.

“Wei Qiang, tell us about your friend! What great connections you have! Did you know that only the big bosses overseas could get their hands on this wine?”

The more Tang Chu looked at Wei Qiang, the more she favored him.

“That’s right, my little brother. Why didn’t I know that you had connections? Tell me, are there any other things that you are hiding from me?”

“I’m not sure about it either. Anyway, my friend really is being courteous to me today! Haha!”

Wei Qiang was puzzled by the huge gratitude.

But he didn’t think much about it. He felt jubilant as he was immersed in the admiration shown by Tang Chu and the others.

Chen Hao remained silent on his side.

This red wine bottle is probably from Zheng Yue.

This girl really made an effort to help me in earning respect from them.

Whereas Wei Qiang took away the fruits of victory. Even then, Chen Hao did not intend to unfold the truth. First, Tang Chu would never believe me.

Moreover, what for I tell the truth? To show that I’m superb? How silly!

Chen Hao thought that it was fine as long as everyone was happy.

And so, they had their meal.

During the entire time, the more Tang Chu looked at Chen Hao, the more her dissatisfaction towards him grew. She kept showering Wei Qiang with compliments while using Chen Hao as a comparison.

After the meal, everyone went downstairs and Wei Qiang went to the front counter to pay the bill.

“Sir, you’re entitled to a thirty percent discount for this meal.”

“What?”

Everyone was surprised by the words of the cashier at the front desk.

“Damn, Qiang, you’re so cool! Thirty percent discount! It makes us feel so proud!” Tang Chu said that again in a surprise.

“Hehe, this is nothing much! Tang Chu and Tongxin, how about going for a ride together. We’ll book a hotel room for my sister to rest later in the afternoon.”

“Sure! Frankly speaking, I came to Jin Ling quite often when I was young, and I haven't been here much after I went abroad. Why don't we let my cousin apply for her leave and we can hang out together? I’m meeting some of my classmates from high school and university later. Let’s have a gathering!” Tang Chu said with a smile.

“That’s great! If that’s the case, I will book another table in Homecook Kitchen Restaurant for tonight!”

Wei Qiang patted his chest.

“Sis, Wei Lin, we still have some stuff to do in college. Please excuse us. You guys enjoy yourselves!

I’ll be heading back with Chen Hao.”

Su Tongxin noticed Chen Hao look slightly unhappy. After all, Chen Hao invited her cousin for a meal today but Wei Qiang stole the spotlight at the end.

Su Tongxin also understood that Chen Hao couldn’t expose his identity.

Afraid that he would be angry, Su Tongxin decided to go back with Chen Hao first.

“Huh? Tongxin, it's a pity if you’re not going with us! I was thinking that you could be our tour guide!”

Wei Qiang pleaded.

Seeing Su Tongxin's insistence to leave, he looked at Tang Chu with his entreating eyes helplessly.

Tang Chu grasped the opportunity at once. She glanced at Chen Hao coldly and said to Su Tongxin, “Tongxin, come with me. I have something to tell you.”
