The two guys waved at Wu Qian and Lin Yue.

Wu Qian and Lin Yue strolled forward with Chen Hao followed behind, a huge baggage on his back and a small bag in his hand.

“Qian, why are you arriving so late? Hey, you really found a helper. Good, we’ll have a great time today.

Thanks for helping, bro!” A guy kissed Wu Qian on her cheek and put his arm around her waist. He looked at Chen Hao with a smile on his face as he said that to him.

While another guy offered Chen Hao a high-end ‘Suyan’ cigarette.

“Yu Qiang, why are you offering him cigarettes? He doesn’t smoke. Even if he does, he can’t afford such an expensive one!” Wu Qian said. “He is Chen Hao, the one I told you guys before. Today, he’ll be helping us with the baggage. In return, we’ll treat him some lunch later.” Wu Qian continued her introduction while holding the guy’s arm. “Chen Hao, the guy who offered you cigarettes is Yu Qiang.

His parents are working in the county’s Water Conservancy Bureau. And this is my boyfriend, Wang Hao, his family owns a factory.”

Wu Qian observed Chen Hao’s expression quietly after introducing her boyfriend. She was curious about Chen Hao’s reaction when he found out she had a rich boyfriend. Much to her surprise, Chen Hao merely nodded.

As for Wang Hao and Yu Qiang, Chen Hao could see that they were just being polite during the introduction. In fact, he felt both of them were rather arrogant and pompous. How did he know?

Because they went to buy drinks as soon as they passed a backpack to Chen Hao. And they bought only four drinks for themselves. They completely paid no attention to Chen Hao.

Oh well, just forget about their existence and think of it as going on a trip on my own. Besides, I can’t really do anything since Wu Qian is here too, Chen Hao thought, comforting himself.

“Wang Hao, why are there so many people here at the Hot Spring Scenic Zone? The place is so beautifully decorated too. Any event they’re having here today?” Wu Qian asked curiously.

“I just finished talking about it with Yu Qiang. With the amount of people around and the workers busy working inside, it seems they are organizing some kind of grand event, especially the Hot Spring Grand Hotel within. I’ve heard from a security guard just now that the hotel was rented by a wealthy businessman from Jin Ling for some grand event tomorrow! The place will be crowded with notables.

Aren’t you guys living in Xiao Gu City which is near Xiao Quan City? Haven’t you guys heard anything about it?” Wang Hao said.

“I haven’t heard anything at all! But never mind, let’s go in and have some fun, shall we?”

They went to get the tickets after a short discussion. Tickets in small village towns like this were usually cheap, around 50 per person.

Chen Hao heard some noise when they reached the ticketing counter. An argument broke out between a group of visitors and the ticket sellers.

“What do you mean you are not selling the tickets anymore? You’re only telling it now after all five of us came?” A girl who was the leader of the group said coldly; there were three girls and two guys in the group.

“Yeah right. We were already here before you put the news on your official website!”

“We are really sorry for that. We were just informed of the notice fifteen minutes ago. The scenic zone will be closed to visitors for two days—today and tomorrow—as we need to decorate the site for many events,” the staff explained patiently.

“Well, how about those tourists who went in before this? I don’t see you guys drag them out either, do I? The notice came up just fifteen minutes ago! I don’t care! You let us in now!”

“We are really sorry about that…”

The argument came to a standstill as both parties refused to tolerate each other.

“Damn! The scenic zone just closed. Sh*t! I should have bought the tickets when I came here with Yu Qiang earlier!”

“Wang Hao, what should we do now?” Wu Qian asked in disappointment.

“I’ll give my dad a call. Let’s see if he can pull some strings!” Wang Hao took out his cell phone and suggested.

“I’ll call my dad too. He knows the assistant manager here,” Yu Qiang said.

“Yes, Yu Qiang. I trust you!”

Wang Hao and Yu Qiang proceeded to make some phone calls.

When Lin Yue saw Wu Qian wiping the sweat off Wang Hao’s forehead with a tissue, she rushed toward Chen Hao for her bag. “Hey you, give me my bag!”

“Find it quickly! You’re so tardy!” Lin Yue scolded Chen Hao when she saw him put down the big bag first before finding her small bag.

“I’ve found it!”

“Give it to me quickly, you sluggish fool!” Chen Hao finally found the bag and was about to pass it to Lin Yue when the latter snatched it and scolded him rudely. Lin Yue strode toward Yu Qiang; she, too, wanted to wipe Yu Qiang’s sweat with a tissue.

Damn! What kind of person is she? Chen Hao thought to himself, holding back his anger.

Lin Yue had a crush on Yu Qiang. Therefore, she planned the trip with Wu Qian so that Wu Qian and her boyfriend would fix her up with Yu Qiang. That was the main purpose of the trip.

Chen Hao had no idea that Lin Yue would be such a rude person who was so full of herself. She basically treated everyone poorly except Yu Qiang. But Chen Hao could not be bothered by her since they would probably not meet again.

“Wang Hao, how’s everything going? What did your dad say?” Wu Qian asked.

“My dad said his hands were tied. He couldn’t get in touch with the people here. How’s everything going with Yu Qiang there?”

Yu Qiang just ended his call.

“Yu Qiang, how’s everything going?” Wu Qian asked.

It would be wonderful if they managed to get their hands on the tickets while everyone else could not.

“My dad told me to wait while he contacted the assistant manager here,” Yu Qiang said.

Chen Hao was worried about them too. He knew his company was the one that developed the Hot Spring Villa, not by some other parties. But since he could not recognize any staff within the scenic zone, Chen Hao guessed they were mostly locals and old employees. Or else, the security guard would not leave them unentertained if they recognized Chen Hao.

However, the weather was very hot today and he was carrying a lot of bags. “Hey, are you guys going in or what? I’m standing here like forever!” Chen Hao complained impatiently.

“What the heck are you complaining about? Yu Qiang is pulling the strings right now. Just shut the hell up and wait!” Wu Qian snapped in annoyance.

But Chen Hao was hot and thirsty after waiting for over ten minutes. He could not find a shelter where he could stay in and Wu Qian would not allow him to wait in the car too.

Damn! What a nuisance!

Chen Hao was irritated. He immediately texted Li Zhenguo so that the latter would send someone to let them in instead of just waiting there. Li Zhenguo replied ‘Got it’.

“Yes, dad. I understand!” Yu Qiang hung up the phone again.

“What did your dad say this time?” Wang Hao asked.

“My dad contacted Assistant Manager Wang here. But both the manager and Assistant Manager Wang are not here now. They went out on a business procurement trip. My dad said whether we can get in or not will be dependent on the arrangement of Assistant Manager Wang. If we still can’t get in, then there’s nothing I can do anymore,” Yu Qiang said.

Another group of visitors were also counting on Yu Qiang to help them get in.

The staff looked at the visitors apologetically. “It’s very hot here, so please go back and stop waiting here. The place will not…” The phone at the ticketing counter rang suddenly and the staff was interrupted.

“Yes! Yes! Yes! Of course, I understand!” After hanging up the phone, the staff said politely to Yu Qiang and his group, “Gentlemen, the manager called in person to invite you and your friends into the zone.

We will take care of all your expenses today.”

The staff was still doubting Yu Qiang and Wang Hao’s words when they said they would get the tickets through connections. The staff was surprised by Yu Qiang and Wang Hao’s abilities in pulling strings when the manager called in person and permitted their admission; that was quite some powerful connections they had.

“Wow! The manager personally made the call!”

Wu Qian and Lin Yue were excited by the news. Lin Yue looked at Yu Qiang with great admiration.

At the same time, the leading girl from another group just now walked toward Yu Qiang. “Hey Mister, do you think you can say a few words and get us in too? We’ll pay for the tickets ourselves,” the girl said while looking at Yu Qiang with admiration.
