A SECOND CHANCEWords: 7585

The office was quiet in the late afternoon, the sound of tapping keyboards and murmured conversations filling the air. But for Jungkook and Taehyung, the world outside the glass walls of the CEO's office seemed to fade away as they shared a rare moment alone.

Jungkook was organizing a stack of papers on the desk, his back to Taehyung, but he could feel the weight of Taehyung's gaze on him. Every day they spent together, their bond deepened—sometimes through subtle glances, sometimes through stolen moments that they both tried so hard to ignore.

Taehyung (breaking the silence, his voice warm and gentle ): "You're quiet today."

Jungkook looked up, meeting Taehyung's eyes. The tenderness in his gaze made Jungkook's heart flutter, though he quickly suppressed the feeling. They were still figuring out what this new chapter of their lives meant, and even though Taehyung had apologized and tried to make things right, a part of Jungkook was still healing. But it didn't make the warmth in his chest go away when Taehyung was near. It was like the pull between them had never truly disappeared.

ungkook (with a soft smile): "Just thinking. About everything. About us."

Taehyung stepped closer, closing the distance between them and hugged him. His hand brushed against Jungkook's, hair and for a moment, neither of them moved. The simple hug sent a surge of emotion through both of them, bringing with it the weight of the past and the hope for the future.

Taehyung (his voice low, filled with emotion): "I've been thinking about us too. About how I've wasted so much time. About how much I hurt you, and how I want to make up for it. I want to make everything right, Jungkook. I want to be the man you deserve."

Jungkook's breath caught in his throat, his heart racing. He could hear the sincerity in Taehyung's voice, and for the first time, it didn't feel like empty words. It felt like a promise.

Jungkook (softly, avoiding his gaze): "It's not that easy, Taehyung. We've been through so much. But I have always known that you were the one for me. You don't have to prove it anymore Taehyung"

And that was Jungkook's truth. He had spent so many years carrying the weight of that abandonment. But now, as Taehyung stood before him, vulnerable and regretful, Jungkook couldn't help but feel the walls inside him staredt to crumble, a long time ago.

Taehyung (his voice breaking slightly): "I know you said not to feel sorry but still I'm asking for it anyway. I'm asking for another chance. Not just with you, but with Hani, with our family. I want to be the father I should've been, the partner you deserve. I want to love you like I always should have."

Jungkook's heart twisted. He wanted to say no, to run away from the vulnerability, from the emotions that were creeping up on him. But he couldn't. Not anymore. He looked at Taehyung, his eyes filled with both sorrow and hope.

Jungkook (with a shaky breath): "Taehyung..... I can't keep fighting this feeling either. You're the only person I've ever loved like this, and it feels like maybe... maybe we could start over."

Taehyung's eyes shone with unshed tears, his hands trembling as he reached for Jungkook's. This time, Jungkook didn't pull away.

Taehyung (a soft, hopeful whisper): "Jungkook... will you give me a chance? Will you marry me?"

The question hung in the air, suspended between them like a fragile dream. Jungkook looked into Taehyung's eyes, seeing the raw sincerity there. He wanted to say yes, wanted to open his heart to the possibility of healing, of rebuilding. But the fear, the uncertainty, still lingered.

Jungkook (his voice barely above a whisper, heart racing): "Are you sure, Taehyung? Are you sure this is what you want?"

Taehyung nodded, his hand gently squeezing Jungkook's. His eyes were filled with determination, with love that had never faded.

Taehyung (firmly, with conviction): "I've never been more sure of anything in my life."

Jungkook swallowed hard, the emotions swirling inside him. He wanted this—he wanted to believe in Taehyung again. But more than that, he wanted to believe in the possibility of a future where they could heal, where their family could be whole again.

Jungkook (taking a deep breath, a tear slipping down his cheek): "Okay. Let's try. Let's start over. For us, for Hani."

Taehyung's face lit up with a smile so bright it took Jungkook's breath away. He pulled Jungkook into his arms, holding him tightly as if afraid to let go. Jungkook wrapped his arms around him, feeling the weight of their shared pain and the promise of their future.

The day of their wedding arrived, and the atmosphere was electric with excitement and love. Jungkook stood by the window, gazing out at the beautiful garden where the ceremony would take place. Hani was already in her little white dress, running around the house with a huge smile on her face, her laughter filling the air.

Jungkook (smiling softly, his heart full): "I can't believe this is happening."

Taehyung walked up behind him, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. He had never seen Jungkook so beautiful, so radiant in the light of this new beginning.

Taehyung (with a playful smile): "It's real, Jungkook. You're really going to be my husband. And Hani will be our daughter, officially."

Jungkook turned to face him, a smile tugging at his lips. It wasn't perfect. There were still scars, still moments of doubt. But in this moment, they were here. Together. And that was enough.

Jungkook (laughing softly, his eyes sparkling): "I guess I'm the luckiest man alive then."

The ceremony was simple, intimate, but filled with so much love. Hani walked down the aisle first, her tiny hands clutching a bouquet of wildflowers, her smile wide and proud. She knew, without a doubt, that this was the beginning of a beautiful chapter.

When it was Jungkook's turn to walk down the aisle, his heart skipped a beat. Taehyung stood at the altar, waiting for him, his eyes full of love and promise. The moment their eyes met, it was like time stood still.

They exchanged vows, simple words that carried the weight of everything they had been through. Taehyung promised to be by his side forever, to never again let go. Jungkook promised to trust, to love, and to build a future they could cherish together.

Taehyung (softly, looking into Jungkook's eyes): "I've always loved you, and I always will. This is forever, Jungkook."

Jungkook (tears in his eyes, his voice full of emotion): "I love you, Taehyung. And I'm ready. Ready to make this work, for us, for Hani."

The crowd cheered as they shared their first kiss as husband and husband, the world outside them fading away as they stood in their own little bubble of love.

The rest of the day was filled with joy and laughter. Their closed ones were all there, sharing in their happiness. Jungkook didn't invite his parents even though they tried so many times to ask for his forgiveness. But he didn't want anything to do with people who abandones their own child when he needed them the most. And Taehyung didn't question his decision. Jungkook was content with what he had..a beautiful family of his own.

Hani beamed with pride as she sat between them, the warmth of her new family filling the empty spaces in her heart. For the first time in years, Jungkook felt a sense of peace. A sense that, no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together. Their love, their family, was worth every struggle, every tear.

And as they danced together, surrounded by the people they loved, Jungkook knew one thing for certain: this was their new beginning.
