The city lights shimmered outside the large windows of Taehyung's penthouse. The room was silent except for the faint hum of the air conditioning. Jungkook stood by the window, his hands shoved deep in his pockets, the weight of everything that had happened crashing down on him. It felt like a dream, a strange, painful, and beautiful dream that he wasn't sure if he was ready to wake up from.

Taehyung walked into the room quietly, his footsteps soft, as if testing the ground between them. He knew he had to talk to Jungkook, that there were words left unsaid, feelings still buried deep inside both of them. He couldn't keep running from the past, not anymore.

Taehyung (breaking the silence, his voice soft but firm): "Jungkook can we talk ?"

Jungkook turned slowly, his eyes locking with Taehyung's. There was a softness in Taehyung's eyes that made Jungkook's chest tighten. It was almost as if he was finally seeing him for the first time in years.

Jungkook (with a calm voice): "Yeah sure,"

Taehyung took a step forward, his heart pounding in his chest. He wasn't sure where to begin, how to explain the years of confusion, pain, and regret. How to tell Jungkook that he had never stopped loving him, even though he couldn't remember their past. How to say everything that had been locked inside him for so long.

Taehyung (his voice cracking slightly): "I don't know where to start... but I need you to know that I never wanted to leave you. Never. When I woke up, I didn't remember any of it. The memories of us, my life before the accident... everything was gone. It was like blank canvas. I was lost and didn't know what to do. Back then my parents were my only support. They helped me in every way possible to make me feel normal and live my life normally. And as much as the life I have now is real, my past is real too.Even if I don't remember anything that doesn't mean it wasn't real. You weren't just a part of my past—you were my everything. And I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for everything I put you through."

Jungkook's breath hitched, and he closed his eyes for a moment. The pain, the betrayal, the heartbreak—they all came rushing back. But so did the love, the tenderness that had once been theirs. It felt like a battle inside his chest. He wanted to be angry. He wanted to scream at Taehyung for leaving him to pick up the pieces of their broken life. But he also wanted to forgive him, to let go of the hurt, and hold onto the love they had once shared.

Jungkook (his voice trembling, but filled with emotion): "You don't have to apologise Taehyung.. You didn't leave me intentionally...It was our destiny. We both were the victims. You don't have to feel guilty anymore"

Taehyung's face twisted in pain as he stepped closer, his voice urgent, filled with the raw emotion of a man who had lost everything.

Taehyung (desperate, pleading): "I never wanted to leave you. I would've never chosen to forget you. The accident... it took so much from me. But the love I had for you... it was real. It's always been real."

Jungkook's eyes filled with tears, but he blinked them away, his heart racing. He felt so many emotions swirling inside him, his mind and heart in conflict. He couldn't deny that a part of him had always hoped for this—hoped that Taehyung would remember, that they could find their way back to each other. But could he truly move past the years of pain?

Jungkook (voice barely above a whisper): "Then love me...love me in a way that I forget every pain and sorrow, Taehyung. I've spent so long being angry, being hurt... and now... now it feels like everything's going back in place I am afraid that I might loose it all again and I don't want to. "

Taehyung stepped closer, his heart pounding in his chest as he reached for Jungkook's hand. He needed Jungkook to understand, needed him to see that everything he had done—everything—had been because he loved him.

Taehyung (softly, eyes pleading): "I promise I will.never stopped loving you, Jungkook. Even when I didn't remember you, a part of me always knew you were important. You and Hani... you're my family. I just need you to let me in. Let me make this right."

Jungkook stared at him for a long time, the silence between them thick with the weight of their shared history. Slowly, he reached out, his fingers brushing against Taehyung's. It felt like a lifeline, like a fragile thread connecting them back to something they had once had.

Jungkook (quietly, as he lowered his gaze): "I believe you, Taehyung. But I'm scared. I'm scared of getting hurt again."

Taehyung's heart ached as he heard the fear in Jungkook's voice. He had never wanted to be the source of that fear, never wanted to cause more pain. He squeezed Jungkook's hand gently, offering him everything he had—his heart, his soul, his love.

Taehyung (softly): "You don't have to be scared. I'm not going anywhere this time. I swear."

The words hung in the air, fragile but full of hope. Jungkook looked up, meeting Taehyung's gaze. For the first time in a long while, he felt a flicker of hope in his heart. Maybe, just maybe, they could rebuild what they had lost.

Jungkook (softly, voice breaking): "I want that, too. For Hani... for us."

In the next room, Hani was sitting on the couch, her small hands fidgeting nervously. She had overheard snippets of the conversation through the door. Her heart raced, a feeling of excitement bubbling inside her. She had always known that there was something special about "Tae Uncle," but hearing these words—hearing her father's name—filled her with hope and joy. She didn't understand everything, but one thing was clear: Tae Uncle wasn't just some distant figure in her life anymore.

Hani (bursting through the door, her eyes wide with joy): "Wait! Is it true? Tae Uncle... is he really my dad?"

Jungkook and Taehyung turned toward her, their expressions softening as they saw the joy in her eyes. Taehyung stepped forward, kneeling down to her level. His heart swelled as he looked at her—his daughter, the little girl he had never known but always felt connected to.

Taehyung (softly, with a smile): "Yes, Hani. I'm your dad."

Hani's face lit up like a thousand suns, and she ran toward Taehyung, wrapping her arms around him tightly. Tears filled Jungkook's eyes as he watched the two of them embrace. For the first time in years, it felt like something had finally fallen into place. His family was healing.

Hani (laughing, joyfully): "I knew it! I always knew!"

Jungkook stepped forward, watching them, his heart full but still cautious. This was a new beginning—fragile, uncertain, but full of promise. They weren't all the way there yet, but they were closer than they had been before.

Jungkook, Taehyung, and Hani stood together, united in their fragile, tentative happiness. The journey ahead was uncertain, but one thing was clear: they had taken the first step toward healing. Together, they could face whatever the future held.

And for the first time in a long time, Jungkook believed that maybe—just maybe—the future wasn't as dark as it had once seemed.
