Part A
Sterling's POV
Our lips touched and moved against each other as we held each other close.This time,we felt more alive and our feelings from deep within just unraveled.
We pulled away,but we leaned on each other's foreheads,just taking a moment to take it all in.
"I..." I was speechless but I didn't feel a single guilt about it.I just felt I could just float up like a balloon,I was beaming from ear to ear.
"You told me not to kiss you ever again until I'm sure and this time,Sterl,I'm sure." April takes my hand,looking me in the eye.
How our breathing were in sync and our faces just inches apart,and everything just seems surreal.
"What do you mean?" I was a little confused but I knew where this conversation was headed.
"I will always choose you,Sterl.No matter what." April cups my face and smiled,just staring right at me.
"You make me feel brave and I want that again." I couldn't help but at this point to blush.
"Sterling,you still there?" Bowser addresses me and I turned to Bowser,startled as my mind wanders back to the world of reality.
"Yeah...I'm just tired." I lied and he nods,still looking through his binoculars.
Mostly I was thinking about April
"Uhh...any signs of our skip? Cause we've been camping here for two hours and I'm getting hungry."
"Didn't you just ate a burger before you came here?" He furrowed his eyebrows,confused.
"No,I was out with my friend." I replied and I could still smell her lingering perfume on me.
"A friend,huh?" Bowser nudged and I rolled my eyes,slightly blushing.
April named as a friend may not be the right choice of words.
"You know what we'll pick this off tomorrow,it's getting late and Blair is not even here." Bowser sighed and took his eyes off from the building.
"Okay...anyways,could you send me to the diner? I want to go some food." I said and he nodded,putting his seatbelt on.
"Hi,can I have a cheeseburger meal to go with a chocolate milkshake?" I told the waitress and she nodded,taking my order down.
I took a seat at one of the booths as I waited,looking outside.
I want to see her again.We never actually made it official,she just confessed what was already there all along.
It was just the circumstance that got in the way,especially with Luke and her family,John.
This is our first time ever feeling happy...again.
I could even visit her right now if I wanted and I really do.
My phone buzzed on the table,and I picked it up immediately.
"Sterling..hey..hi.Can you help cover for me? Tell Mom that I'm staying over at Luke's or something." Blair sounds rushed,and the noises coming from the background sounds like rock music and people.
She's in a party right now.
"Blair,where are you and what's with all the music?" I questioned and there was a pause for a moment.
"I'll tell you everything when I get back,please." She sounded really desperate and i bet she's having fun.
"Okay...but if anything happens,text me right away,okay?" I sighed and she squealed.
"Twin swear.Okay,gotta go.Love you." She hanged up and I chuckled.
I love Blair.She's my best friend and my everything.I wouldn't know what I'd do without her.
Even with all the drama that happened between us,we'll always be alright.
The waitress comes back with my order and I start to make my way back home with Bowser.
By the time I got back,Mom and Dad were waiting in the living room.
"Hey guys..." I greeted them,setting my food on the table.Mom stood up and hugged me.
"Oh thank god you're back.We're worried sick for you." I reciprocated the hug,and pulled away.
"I'm okay,Mom.Anyways,Blair is staying at a friend's tonight,she's doing extra college work with her friend."
Mom arched her eyebrows,tensed now.My hands fidget around and I continued.
"A friend? She's never mentioned a friend before." Mom questioned,glancing back at Dad.
"You know Blair,she's a lil secretive but it's fine.Her name's Stacey and she lives near the Stevenson's lake house." I lied my way through and Mom was watching me the whole time.
"Okay then.We'll be going to sleep now.Night,honey." Mom pulled Dad away as they walked back to their bedrooms.
I sat on the counter and ate my food,whilst watching Tiktok.The trends are getting crazy especially with all the thirst trap.
A message popped up and it was from April.

Hey,are you awake?
Yeah,I am.
Do you want to meet?
Now? Isn't it little late?
Well,if you're up for it later.
I hesitated,but I wouldn't miss my chance of talking to April again.I want to make it official and this time I'll do it right.
Yeah,sure.Midnight,at the garden?
Okay,see you then.
I closed my phone and smiled.She's really something isn't she?
I gobbled down my food and head straight to my wardrobe,thinking of what to wear.It's just a casual meeting but I still want to look great.
This took me at least 30 minutes before deciding to go with black top and grey sweatpants.
I took the car and drove there.It was really quiet and peaceful,a few couples were still wandering around.Even teenagers just sitting by the tree,smoking.
Which is really bad for them.
I took a seat at our spot just like before,I was actually 5 minutes early.You can't blame me.I looked at my phone as always and I heard footsteps growing closer and closer,making me tingle inside.
"Sterling?" I looked up,hoping to see April's face however it wasn't.It was Rachel.
"Rachel?" I was almost this close to punching her in the face.I let out a small smile and it was just awkwardness from there on out.
"I mean what are you doing here?" I asked,looking for signs of April.
"I'm here because I want you,Sterl.I can't.I don't love Jess,I only love you." Rachel lets out,taking my hand.These words would've moved me again but this time,all I ever wanted is April.
"No,you screwed up,Rachel.I don't blame you for kissing Jess,she's your first love.I get that but us being together again,I don't think so." I shoved her hands away and stepped back.
"Huh,is that so?" Rachel arched one of her eyebrows,crossing her arms.
"Yeah Rachel and how'd you know I was going to be here?" I questioned,getting a little freaked out.She moves closer,as her face grazes against mine.
"Let's say you won't be seeing April for awhile." She whispered in my ear.She walks away,a smudge on her face.
"What...what did you do? Rachel!" I ran after her but a car pulled up out of nowhere,allowing her to slip away from me.
This is messed up.No way.This is crazy.She has April and now she might be gone.Eric was right.
Rachel is bad news.
She must've have her locked away in their basement where they do drug deals.
Now I'm starting to sound like Blair.Is this what she's like? The constant irrational thinking of people are criminals and masterminds.
Or maybe she's just observant and smart.
Honestly,it doesn't matter now because they've got April.
I gotta call Bowser,he's the only one who can help.
