April's POV
My phone pinged and I was in the middle of a class.Usually I would peek a glance and get distracted by it but Ellen taught me about being MOBOT.
Yes,I said it in my head.Blair was in class that evidently Sterling has already dealt with her 'issues'.
It's at least 79% that that notification is linked to Sterling and the remaining 21% must be my daily Bible verse or social media.
But I've got to take a chance,right? Just like Hayley Kiyoko's new song.I mean she really delivered especially on Pride Month.
I took a sneak peek at my phone and it was.It was almost as though I could breathe again but I'm not sure how long I can breathe....

We have to talk.
This message is clearly giving bad vibes and nobody texts this unless it's a breakup.Nothing else.
My mind keeps drifting back to Sterling and now I'm anxious.I've got to take things into my own hands.
The righteous decision right now was to talk to Blair despite our history and vicious comebacks.
"Class.You are dismissed." Ms Paterson releases us and everyone made their way out.
Blair was already heading for the doors so I make haste to stop her.
"April." Blair lets out,trying to get through.
"Blair." I replied,looking up and down at her. She pauses and frowns.
"You're supposed to be doing that to my sister.Wrong sister right here." Blair looks over my shoulder,trying to find a way out of this conversation.
"Listen to what I have to say,Blair and this will be a painless conversation." Blair grunts and gives up,allowing me to speak.
"Sterling wants to talk and all I'm asking is whether it's the good or the bad kind."
"Huh...maybe it's bad maybe it's good.I don't really care." Blair was making this harder.She attempts to get past me but I blocked her.
"Cmon,Blair.I'm asking because I want to prepare myself if I'm going to lose her."
"Lose her? Can't you see that she's in love with you? She finally found her 'Luke loves Sterling' person.I'm more concern if you screw it up."
"Blair,you know it's not like that.I-" I protested but she cuts me off.
"Save it and please go talk to Sterling."Â She walks past me and I stood there,feeling helpless.
Sterling's POV
"You did what exactly?" I raised my voice at Blair. "She came to me first."
"The problem is you're still enemies and you could've been polite to her if she wants you to listen to her."
"Funny because I recall her being your girlfriend not mine."
"Well that shouldn't stop you from being nice to her.Eric and I get along just fine,why can't you and April?" I countered back and Blair sighs.
"History,her actions,her words and the way she made you feel back then...that's what makes it not fine." This must run deep in her because she's looking out for me.
"We'll have this conversation another time.Now help me pick out a dress."
"No....that's not something I can help with." Blair left the room and I huffed.The more alarming issue is what am I going to say.
I paced myself around the room, thinking of a way to apologise but also tell her how I truly feel and that there isn't anything that's going to change my heart.
Grand gestures! That's perfect.I just have to make a Blair run a couple of errands and we'd be good.
I texted April that I'll pick her up and we'll go for a drive.It's my favourite spot and I think she'll absolutely love it.
Is this cute enough or should I put something more sexy? I tossed my top to the bed and Mom chuckled.
"I think the one with red floral ruffle dress looks good on you,Hon." She commented and tries it on.This is the one, and it's perfect.
"You can thank me later.So are you and April tying the knot."
"We're not getting married,Mom but of course we will eventually in the future...but does Dad knows about all this?" I asked in soft spoken voice.
"No because it's not my place to tell.You've gotta tell him sooner or later.You're not going to keep April a secret if she's always coming to the house and cuddling with you."
"You'd really let us cuddle?" I repeated in disbelief and she arches one eyebrow.
"That'd be ground rules to cover but that's not the time for it.Go and have fun now!" She rushes me out and smiles at the sight of me.
April's POV
Sterling texted me that she's coming to pick me up at 7.This should be a good sign then.I need to look my best if we're going to talk. I should call backup for this.
Half an hour later,
"No,I don't want makeup.I don't want mascara running down my face if she breaks my heart." Ezequiel tries to apply concealer but I brushed it off.
"Listen,no one is breaking anybody's heart.Both of you love each other and that's enough."
"Yeah,love goes for miles." Hannah B added.
"I think you're forgetting the 'extra' in miles but thank you,Hannah B."
"And in a couple of years, you're going to get married with your significant other."
"I don't think we're at that stage yet and we're still young."
"Right but my cousin married his distant cousin at age of 18." Hannah B blabbered on as Ezequiel and I share a glance.
"Okay,I'm coming out." I declared and opened the door.I was in my green top and white blue and pink short pants.She mentioned to me before that she loved this fit so why not wear it?
"Nice one April." Ezequiel winks and it took me a second to catch on what he meant.
"Cause it's ironic since I just came out 2 days ago and now I'm - yeah I get it."
"You look amazing.She's totally going to fall in love with you again." Hannah B complements and I really hope so.
"Okay,now I need you two to get out of here before she picks me up."
"Fine but once it's over,text us the deets." Ezequiel reminded and I smiled,ushering them out of my house.

Okay...deep breaths.It's just my Sterling,she's not life-threatening.I'm too hung up on the negative things instead of positive.
The door knocked and took me by surprise.I was reaching for the doorknob but my heart was beating out of my own chest.
"A cheese pizza for one April Stevens." She speaks up and I opened it.
"Hey stranger." I started and her eyes lit up at the sight of me and I felt like I could breathe once again.
"Hi." She replies and revealed the flowers from behind her back.
"Lilies? How did you know?" I graciously took it and sniffed it.
"Have you watched 'Imagine Me and You'? Also this is the Oriental-Trumpet Lily also known as-" She explained but of course I had to jump in.
"Yelloween.One of the fragrant lilies you've come to find.Thank you,Sterling." I complete her sentence, placing the lilies aside.
"Look,I wanna apologise for hanging up the phone the other day.I was dealing with issues of my own and I-"
"It's okay and I understand but we're here now.That's all that matters." I reassured, squeezing her hands.
"Well then,I've got a place that we can go to." Sterling takes my hand, leading me to her car as she drove us.
As we were almost there, she requested that I put on blindfolds.At first,I was a little cautious but I wore them anyways.
Blindfolded as she let me down a path where I've never been to before.All I know that this should be worth it and I trust her enough.
"Open your eyes." And I did.
Gosh it was amazing, just by standing here I was overlooking the town in which it dazzled and illuminated.The setting of the tent filled with lights facing the town and stars...
"You did all this? How'd you find this spot?"
"Well Blair helped out and this was where I used to watch the stars with her." I was taking a minute to just digest all this.
Sterling pulled me to the middle where our eyes meet and I've never been so in love with her as of this moment.
"April.."
"No...I'm gonna speak because you've done more than enough." I twisted a strand of her hair and held her face close.
"Sterling...I've had it.I'm tired of hiding you and me.Us.I came out and it's the best thing that could ever happen to me.You make me do things I've never thought possible."
"So I'm asking you to stay with me because you are the Han to my Leia.I love you." I can't believe I'm quoting Star Wars right now.
"I know." She smirked while looking intently at my lips.
"Did you just pulled a Star Wars line to my Star Wars quote?" She nodded and I beamed.
I pulled her in and boy, was that an electrifying feeling that I can't get rid of.It's like my body knows her and instinctively reacts accordingly.It was soft but passionate.
I bit her lips and pulled away,laughing.She pulls me for a hug and I'm so glad that the tide waves has washed ashore.
"Get in.I prepared snacks, insect repellent and plenty of pillows and blankets.With that,I would also say let's cuddle and watch some Star Wars." I stared at her in disbelief.
"We need to work on some of the quotes, honey." I replied and she shrugged, ready to get into the tent.
I pulled her back by her left hand and kissed her aggressively with a little tongue.
She pulls back, dazed and I smiled.
"This is our 'someday',honey." And it truly is.
