Sterling's POV
I am really really dreading to go Carson's house right now but that's definitely where April will be.
They've literally hung out the whole time since we fought and not a single day gone by have I ever seen them separated.
I reluctantly knocked on the door,waiting for Carson's greeting.She opens them and her eyes were surprisingly scared.
Like she was just caught red-handed.
"I didn't know you were coming over that quick.
Dude,I'm really sorry.I honestly didn't mean to kiss her.Neither did she.It was accidental." She started and I was really lost and shocked.
"What? You kissed my girlfriend?" I questioned and looks down on her.Carson is really not that tall.
"She didn't tell you yet,didn't she?" She lets out a nervous chuckle and puts her hands up.
"You know what you can just slap me if you-"
I threw a punch right at her face and she fell to the floor with a loud thud.
"That was not for the kiss.That was for me and it sure felt great.Oh,I forget to tell you.April is mine if it isn't loud and clear." I blew my knuckles and left.
If she isn't here,what the hell is she? And did we both just kiss different people on the same day?
April's POV
Apparently the address that Jack gave me is this apartment.I looked at the apartment and it looks decently warm and appealing.
But if anything,I'm sure they're both here because Bailey is a conniving piece of -
If she thinks she can manipulate and have Sterling all by herself,she hasn't truly met me yet.
I knocked on the door,biting my lips.Hoping that Sterling isn't in there,doing anything at all with her.
"April.Hi.I wasn't expecting you at all." Bailey greeted me and I faked a smile.
I walked right past and crossed my arms.
"Right...make yourself at home."She closed the door behind,and faced me.
"Drop the act because I know Sterling was here instead of rehearsals."
"What exactly did she say because I'm telling you that it was all an accident." I furrowed my brows.
What accident? Did something really happened?
So I used the 'I know what you did but I don't so you're gonna fess it up' method."
"I know what you did,Bailey."
"It was just one kiss.I swear,nothing more.If anything,she kissed me because my french toast reminded me of yours."
"You kissed Sterling!?"
"Listen,I'm being honest here and I really don't want to be in the middle of this."
"I think you wanted to be in the middle of this from the very moment you set your eyes on Sterling.
Offering her to be your consultant? I may be nice but I'm not blind."
"I didn't do anything else okay? She was having a bad day and wasn't feeling well."
"Great because this is something to help you think the next thing you think about my girlfriend."
I don't know came over her but I slapped her,harder than I've ever slapped one.
Let's just say this is my third time so I have experience.
"I.." Bailey protested but I slapped her again.A scoff slipped out of her mouth,and looks me dead in the eye.
"You know I did felt good and this is an A on hospitality." I left and couldn't help smiling.
Though I really really need to find Sterling.
POV
Both Sterling and April went to each other's house but their efforts to find each other did not prevailed.
Sterling calls Blair for help on April's whereabouts whilst April found herself in the living room with Blair.
"Two days in one night...you're getting comfortable,April." Debra pointed out,setting a plate of fresh cookies and milk.
"Thank you,Mrs Wesley." Debra left the girls to be and find the company of her husband.
"So you tried to find Sterling at Carson's house and now ours." Blair clarified and April nodded.
"Oh,try the cookies.They're to die for,trust me." Blair said and April took a bite of the cookie,
crumbles falling to the floor.
"Mmm...yeah this is good." April continued eating the cookie and dip them in milk.
"Yeah...she's here with me." Blair said and Sterling let out a sigh of relief.
"Tell her to wait there.I'm coming home."
"No,you two are going to talk it outside.I can't handle an argument in the house so I'll drove her to you.Send me your location."
Blair's phone pinged and it was the address.
"Okay,see ya."
April knew exactly what they were talking about and wiped her hands clean with tissue.
"You drive.Let's go." April threw the car keys to Blair and Blair nods.
The sky was tar-black and the large clouds were moving towards Sterling.People ran for cover outside and umbrellas were opened as the clouds spat out their beads of water. Puddles began plinking as the rainfall became heavier.
Sterling stood there,in the rain,awaiting for April's arrival.A figure approached her,and she smiled.
"April..." She rushed to hug her and the warm embrace of her lover couldn't get anything better.
The rain didn't matter,the coolness of the night didn't matter and the people running for cover didn't matter as well.
"I need to tell you something." Sterling started,holding April's hands.The rain kept getting persistent and cold.
"I do too." April let out and both laughed.
"Say it together on the count of three?" Sterling suggested and April nods.
"1...2...3."
"I kissed someone." Both of them confessed simultaneously and point a finger at each other with mouth agape.
"I know!" Sterling said.
"You know?" April repeated.
"I went to Carson and she blurted it out."
"So did Bailey."
"April,I didn't see Bailey in that way.Never once and never did.That kiss only happened when I ate a honey french toast she prepared for me.It was like yours." Sterling explained.
"I know,baby." April caress Sterling's face,wiping the rain drops that was on her face.
"Carson and I,we're nothing like that too.I never wanted anyone else but you."
"I have to explain myself too.It was a stupid accidental kiss where one of us was supposed to kiss the other on the cheek but we both ended turning our heads and kissed." April added.
"I really don't want to lose you,Sterling."
"Good,cause me too."
"How about we both 'accidentally' tilt our face to the side and kiss each other right now?" Sterling suggested and April smiled.
"I don't see why not." April muttered and leans in.
Just as they kissed,a sudden flash of lightning lit up the dark purple sky. Lightning illuminates the street,and they lifted their eyes skyward, bringing even the slowest soul-pulses back into a steady and strong rhythm.
Both of them smiled and the thunder rumbled after.
It was as if the lightning recharged their soul while the rain cleansed, while the thunder resonated so deep in their bones.
"Nothing can get better than this." April smirked and kissed Sterling once more,as the rain rushed down.
Sterling's POV
Of course,we thought it was romantic to fix our relationship in the rain.We ended soaked from head to toe and sick the next day.
We took a day off and visited the doctor's for medicine.Of course,we had to cuddle in my house.
April's still not ready for the whole meeting her Mom yet but I'm cool with it.
As long as she's out and proud to be with me,I'm all pleased.
"How about we both don't ever fight again?" I suggested and April chuckled.
"That's not realistic.Every couple fights and it's normal,Sterling." I smiled,giving her a kiss.
"Aren't you supposed to resting?" Blair walks in and raised her eyebrows.
"Technically,yes."
"Well,you two have about 20 seconds before Mom comes in seeing the two of you in PDA"
"We're certainly not in PDA,Blair!" I called out and Blair sticks out her tongue out in response.
April and I untangled ouselves and sleep on our respective sides.
Mom walks in with a smile and brought food and medicine.
"And here's your third time but with Sterling by your side,ain't this lovely."
"Yes,thank you Mrs Steven."
"Why don't you girls rest up and be more rejuvenated tomorrow for lessons,huh?" Mom smiled,giving me a kiss on the forehead.
After small talks,Mom left,giving us peace and quite.I turn to my side and faced April who was also now facing me.
"On a serious note,I talked things out with Rachel and got the closure I needed.It was just hard seeing her but I'm glad it's all over."
"I'm glad."
"So we're good,April?"
"Yes,yes we are." April kissed me and I smiled.
"Wanna hear a Starwars pick up line?" I smirked.
"Why do I feel like this is going to be cringy?" April sighs but couldn't help but smile.
"Cmon! I'm trying to embrace your 'Star Wars' addiction."
"Fine..."
"Knock knock." I started.
"Who's there?" April reluctantly replied.
"Baby yoda."
"Baby yoda who?"
"Baby yoda one for me."
"You are too cute,Sterling." April hides herself in my shoulders,and both of us giggled.
I guess this is love.
