Chapter 19: 19

𝑓𝑒𝑤 𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑘𝑠 𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟

the bedroom door opened making me sit up,"who the hell-" i looked harder and saw acadia.

i looked at my phone and it was 3:45am,"what's wrong?" i mumbled rubbing my eyes.

she didn't say anything but sat on the bed beside me.

when we came back we immediately went to the hospital, iniko suffered from some blood lost but made it through.

sahari had a few bruises nun too bad, acadia had bruises and a bone fracture in her wrist.

"nightmares?" i asked and she nodded her head.

"wanna talk about it??" i asked.

"umm...i'm sorry.." she mumbled and i could hear her starting to cry.

"c'mere you don't gotta apologize, it's okay." i said pulling her into a hug.

"j-just i don't know, i don't even wanna tell

malia i don't wand her to look at me differently...i'm just scared and- he didn't use protection.." she said as she started sobbing on my shoulder.

i rubbed her back and let out a sigh, i'm glad i made him have a long painful death.

"hey look you don't gotta tell malia right now and when you do, if she looks at you differently then that's her problem not yours. you couldn't control all that happened." i said as she started calming down.

she just nodded her head,"how's therapy been going??" i asked her and she thought for a second.

"it's been good...my therapist is actually really understanding and helps so..." she said and shrugged.

"then that's good, you want anything else?" i asked her and she shook her head no.

"okay-"

"wait actually can we smoke?"

"you damn pothead.." i said shaking my head.

"okay here damn." i mumbled handing sahari my bacon.

"greedy ass..." acadia mumbled as sahari ate my bacon.

"leave her alone." i said standing up, i grabbed empty plates on the table and put them in the sink.

"what you doing today??" i asked acadia.

"probably go over aunt mariah's then papa house." she said standing up and cleaned off sahari's face.

"ight- wait your mama still asleep?" acadia nodded her head.

i went upstairs and knocked on adaliya door,"this nigga..." i mumbled slowly opening  the door.

"adaliya..." i walked over to the bed and she had her eyes open.

"so you can't hear nigga?" i asked thumping her forehead making her groan.

"journey gone..." she said turning the other way.

"i'll think about it.." i sat at her vanity and got on my phone.

"mama- iniko here i'm finna go." acadia said opening up the door.

"alright have fun and be safe." adaliya said back to acadia.

she left out the room as i continued scrolling on my phone,"since you wanna bother people wanna do me a favor?"

i got up while nodding my head,"can you get me some tylenol and water please."

i walked to the kitchen and looked in the medicine cabinet,"ain't got no tylenol..." i mumbled as i looked for other pain medicine.

i went back into her bedroom,"y'all ain't got no pain medicine...i can go get sum-"

"it's okay i'll get some later..."

"if you even get out of bed, adaliya you look like your gonna pass out....you good?"

"i'm just tired."

"you pregnant???" i asked and she scrunched up her face.

"hell no."

"mmm...-"

"plus i'm just on my period that's all." she mumbled pulling the cover over her.

i stood still for a minute as i though of sumn,"i'll be back." i said grabbing my phone.

i didn't wait for her reply as i grabbed my keys and went to my car.

god...fuck me for being a simp

"adaliya...get the fuck up." i said shaking her.

"mmcht- leave me alone damn." she snapped turning over.

"fine i'll just eat the cheesecake factory food myself." i said making her pull the cover back.

"what food?"

"get up and you'll see...hers your medicine." i mumbled putting it on the nightstand.

"wait- you went and got it, journey-"

"you could've got it yeah yeah, i did it anyway." i said as she sat up.

"thank you." she said finally looking over at me and i nodded.

"no problem, i'll be in the living room." i said then left the room.

i went into the living room and sat on the couch, i heard the shower turn on so i turned on the tv and started watching a random series.

after some time adaliya came downstairs and sat beside me,"it looks like you've been crying-" i said handing her a plate.

"anyways- how much was this?"

"why??"

"cause i can pay you back." she said in a duh tone.

"girl shut the fuck up, don't worry about paying me back."

"i-" i put my hand over her mouth.

"eat your food and watch the show." i said then she bit my hand.

"niggaaa."

"don't put your hand over my mouth." she said.

"you use to like it over your mouth but okay." i said shrugging and she hit my shoulder.

we sat in a comfortable silence watching tv before she spoke up again,"journey....i miss you."

"that's you talking or your hormones?" i asked.

"journey i'm foreal...when i did break up with you i was in a bad head space at the time and i didn't wanna let that anger or anything out on you, i understand if you don't wanna get back together..but i'm sorry."

"i guess i can understand that...plus i'd admit at the time we wasn't exactly close or anything. so how about we take things slow and see where shit go."i said and she nodded.

"that's fine with me."

"okay tomorrow i'm taking y'all to get your nails done then we could go to the beach for a lil bit." i suggested and she nodded her head.

"sounds like a good idea." she said smiling.

"FINA-FUCKIN-LY!!" we both turned around seeing amare.

"amare- how the hell?" adaliya said

"oh i'm getting sumn for acadia my bad i'll be out." he said walking through the living room.

"oh and adaliya don't hurt journey again or we all gonna have our ones cause when i tell you journey was-"

"okay okay you can get the fuck out now." i said and amare held his hands up then walked out.

"you need to hide that extra key somewhere else..." i said shaking my head.

"thanks for reminding me.."

yet again this is my book im writing if y'all don't like some of the stuff in here that sounds like a personal problem
