"wait so they at least know about me?" journey asked as i slipped into my jeans making me nod.
last night my kids ended up staying wit my dad like always, so now i gotta worry about telling them plus everyone else god-
"acadia she's almost 16 yes she knows of you and sahari i mean she's only 1 so like she's heard us speak of you but it ain't stuck stuck yet i guess you could say." i said and she nodded.
i could tell she was nervous as fuck.
"calm down it'll be okay...stay in here for a lil bit my dad is dropping them off." i said and she leaned back into the bed.
i placed a kiss on her forehead,"it'll be okay.."
yesterday when we got home she took a shower then immediately fell asleep and slept the whole night too.
i walked downstairs and waited for them, i actually talked to my dad last night he's the only one that knows right now.
i sat on the couch until the door opened,"MOMMY!!!" sahari was the first to run and hug me.
"girl move she was my mama first." acadia said mushing sahari out the way and sitting in my
lap.
"now that was mean." i said leaning over and helping sahari up.
"i'm sorry, you know i love you." acadia said trying to kiss sahari who pushed her away.
one thing about sahari she wasn't kissing nobody, that girl hated kissing people.
even thought i kissed her a million times as a baby, she just didn't like kisses.
"anyways papa said you had sumn to tell us." acadia said moving out my lap.
"oh yeah...you remember Journey."
"yeah.." she said looking at me funny.
"wellâ fix ya face and so like...it's not really a way to
explain but it turns out we were all lied to, she's alive." i said and watched acadias face drop.
"so basically...my other mother who we thought was dead is actually alive...she even remember yall relationship?? where she at-"
"girl pause and breathe, yes she's alive and yes she still remembers all of that yes she knows about you guys...and she's upstairs." i said and watched as acadia started smiling.
"pleaseeee i wanna meet her- wait no what if she don't like us...what if she feel pressured to be a parent or sumn-"
"hey hey calm down we talked all this out this morning when she woke up you'll be fine chile." i said and she nodded.
"so she tryna meet us or..."
"duh nigga."
"i- okay." she said and i picked up sahari.
"you tired mama??" i asked kissing her cheek and she nodded her head yes.
we walked to my room and i was the first one to walk in and journey looked up at me then acadia,"so....acadia this is journey, journey this is acadia and sahari.." i said looking at a half sleep sahari in my arms.
"hi." acadia said.
"not you being shy." i said and she mugged me.
"girl fix ya face." i said.
"wassup.." journey said back.
"so like...i'm your daughter you don't gotta claim me but like-"
"don't worry i do wanna be a parent figure to y'all and i'm hoping i can work up to that title." journey said making acadia smile.
"so are you cool with me calling you mom- or too soon." acadia said.
"whenever your ready to say it."
"okay okay..well i think imma go to my room now and go facetime- my lil yeah sooo-" then she left out the room.
"she looks like you..." journey said and i laughed.
"anyways..." i said laying sahari down who started squirming.
i rubbed her back making her calm down and fall back asleep,"are you hungry??" i asked her and she shook her head no.
"you sure journey??"
"i'm sure." she said and i nodded.

"mama can i cook???" acadia asked walking in the bathroom.
"i- you can't knock miss girl." i said as i rinsed my face.
"i'm sorry mother but can i cook us dinner??"
"what you gonna cook?" i asked walking out the kitchen and she followed behind me.
"it's a surpriseeee." she said.
"mhm...gone head don't burn down my kitchen." i said walking to my room.
i smiled as i saw journey holding sahari in her lap as she watched tv, i closed the door making them both look at me.
sahari looked back at coco melon playing in the tv,"she woke up out her sleep crying so i held her for a few...well actually we both got stuck watching this shâ mess." journey said looking back at the tv.
"it's good, c'mere..." i said reaching for sahari who ignored me.
"oop lil girl." i said tapping her and she looked at me.
"you don't wanna come to mommy?" i asked and she shook her head no making journey laugh.
"i- not you taking her already." i said and journey shrugged as i sat beside them.
"mommy..." sahari said grabbing my arm.
"no you being fake." i said and she mugged me.
she tapped journey and pointed at the baby puffs on the floor,"you want them???" she asked making sahari nod.
journey moved her out her lap then handed her the puff making sahari smiled immediately as she grabbed them.
"thank you." she replied twisting the cap open.
she maybe one but she really know how to talk.
"your welcome." journey said sitting beside me.
"i- you is a hater." i said as sahari squeezed her way between us.
she laid her head in my lap as she ate the puffs, this girl so small but can eat like a grown man.
"she wanna lay with her mother." journey said.
"nah she tryna be stingy with you and she just met you." i said and journey shrugged.
"i mean like you said she did just meet me.." she said and we fell in a comfortable silence.
"i'm sorry..." she mumbled making me look over at her.
"for what?"
"for leaving...it was selfishâ"
"hey hey don't say that it's okay, you were going through a really rough time..." i said grabbing her hand.
i hadn't noticed sahari got up until she came back with tissue paper in her hand and still had her puffs in the other.
"i- she learn all this from you?" journey asked taking the tissue and wiped her face.
"i really have no clue...gotta be they sperm donor." i said before the door opened.
"dinner is served." acadia said coming in with plates.
"okay hold on we finna eat good." i said as she handed us our plates.
"why of course we are, i didn't get drinks cause i can only balance so much so- i know yo ass ain't eating already." she said to sahari who flipped her off.
wait-
"you done taught her that??" i asked her and she looked the other way.
"anywayss, c'mon let's go eat." acadia said and quickly grabbed sahari leaving the room.
i just shook my head before i started eating.
