"soooo you wanna take my daughter...an after party for prom....then her stay the night with you?" journey asked malia would looked like she was about to shit on herself.
"if that's okay with y'all." malia said messing with the string on her hoodie.
"girl calm down, go ahead just be careful." journey said and malia let out a breath .
"stop giving her a heart attack." acadia said sitting sahari on the bed.
"i'm notttt." journey said.
"that's a lie- malia sorry to expose you but you know she scared of you." i said looking at journey.
"why tho- am i intimidating?"
"just a lil bit." malia said pinching her fingers together.
"you do gotta resting bitch face." i said to journey.
"ain't gonna lie i was scared when i first met you foreal." acadia said.
"....so y'all was scared but sahari loved me from the moment she met me." journey said making sahari look up.
"yup." malia and acadia said.
"anyways y'all decided what colors y'all wearing yet?" i asked.
"cant decide." malia said looking at acadia.
"now you know i'm indecisive don't do that." acadia said making me laugh.
"anyway, it's between some colors such as blue, yellow, red, or orange." malia said.
"i say blue." journey said.

"i don't appreciate how you just be snatching my child up and leaving." i said as journey walked out the room.

"okay but what kinda stuff do you think we should get?" i asked journey who was on facetime.
"girl ion know...what you do for her last birthday." she asked.
"shit Minnie mouse theme...and i'm not doing coco melon don't even say it." i said making journey laugh.
"but sahari love coco melon."
"i'm sick of seeing that mess." i said looking at the decorations.
"unicorn nigga." journey said.
"that's basic." i said looking at the unicorn balloons.
"bitch it ain't yo party." she said.
"you know what- i'm finna hang up."
"do it and imma beat yo ass when you get back home."
"not the abusive chile." i said as i got a call from acadia.
"ain't these niggas in the store- hold on." i said then answered her call.
"mama- we kinda get kicked out the store." acadia said and i saw malia in the background.
"how yall asses get kicked out? " i asked as i looked at princess decorations.
"ight so boom-" malia started off grabbing the phone from acadia.
i watched as she paused and looked at the camera for a moment,"not lisa tryna message you on insta." malia said then went on pause.
"gone head and block her now cause she ain't finna mess up the rest of the school year for us and it's shOrt- and i'll be damned if she mess with you." malia rambled on then came back on the camera.
"okay now- ight so book acadia was like get in the buggy and my dumbass trusted her. so i got in and she was pushing me and it was fineee at first until she wanna turn into flash bad me running into shelves and shit. " malia said then acadia grabbed the phone back.
"so see THIS part wasn't my fault we was going around a corner right and this old ass white last was in the way and the buggy was going too fast i couldn't stop it, if i wanted to and we kinda ran her over." acadia said and i busted out laughing.
"ain't no way...can't take yall asses nowhere. " i said putting some stuff in my cart.
"and then we took off running well with the buggy and a worker came up to us and was like y'all have to leave the store please so we did." malia added on.
"mane...well bring the car around in about 10 minutes i should be coming out." i said.
"okay bye love you." acadia said.
"unt unt don't be telling my ma love you." malia said.
"girl i'm finna punch you in yo shit stop tryna take my mama." acadia said then hung up.
i just shook my head, their relationship reminds me a lot of when journey and i were younger...
i finished gathering stuff for sahari's second birthday coming up.
i went to the front and paid for it then pushed the buggy outside where acadia was.
"mOmmy-" she said getting out and helped me put stuff in the car.
"yes my love." i said shutting the door back.
"can you drop me off at my appointment??"
"malia gonna stay with you?"
"yes ma'am."
"ight the same salon?" i asked and she nodded her head.

i walked in the house and threw my bag on the couch then walked into the kitchen.
i tripped over sumn by the table making me lean onto the wall for support,"who the hell-" i heard making me jump.
i looked towards the table and saw what i tripped over was journeys foot.
"what yo ass doing-?" i asked lifting the table cloth up and had to hold back my laugh.
there was a blanket underneath the table along with a computer and pillows.
sahari was fast asleep with a cheeto puff hanging out her mouth and her finger tips orange from them, while journey looked like she had just woke up and had a cover over her legs.
"really?" i asked looking at journey who shrugged and laid back down pulling the cover over her.
"girl get yall asses from under the table." i said and journey put the pillow over her head.
"niggas..." i mumbled shaking my head.
