Jing Yao went back to her room to pack her bag, and the two of them went straight to the company that Jing Yao had signed onto.

On the way to pick up Jing Yao, Gu Yu had already received a call from Liang Xun. Liang Xun explained in detail what he wanted to do on the phone.

Gu Yu was a steady person and never fought unprepared battles. While waiting for Jing Yao to pack up, he had already investigated Jing Yao’s company.

That company was not big and had only been established for a few years. It was really not popular in the entertainment industry, and the artists it signed with were neither popular nor knew how to entertain. It was a waste of Jing Yao’s youth to stay in such a company.

After arriving at the company, Jing Yao said to Gu Yu, “Mr. Gu, thank you for sending me here. You can go back first. I’m going up.”

Gu Yu did not move. “President Liang instructed me to stay by Miss Jing’s side for the entire day.”

“My introduction earlier might not be clear enough. I’m President Liang’s assistant and personal lawyer.” Gu Yu looked at Jing Yao and smiled. “Miss Jing, if you want to terminate your contract with the company, you should need a lawyer, right?”

Jing Yao finally brought Gu Yu along.

She did not terminate the contract immediately. Instead, she went to look for Zhu Ling first.

Zhu Ling had been waiting for her since she received Jing Yao’s call.

She had countless questions. She had always known that Jing Yao wanted to terminate her contract with the company, which was something they had been working hard for. The problem was that Jing Yao couldn’t fork out so much compensation.

However, Jing Yao was very insistent. She said, “Lingling, we both know that in a place like the entertainment industry, one has to be not only good-looking and capable, but also need to have opportunities to become popular.”

Now that Jing Yao suddenly said that she wanted to terminate the contract, Zhu Ling was full of doubts. She even had many bad guesses.

After Jing Yao brought Gu Yu into Zhu Ling’s office, Zhu Ling immediately stood up and rushed towards Jing Yao.

Gu Yu remembered Liang Xun’s instructions. Seeing this scene, he immediately took two steps forward and stood in front of Jing Yao.

Gu Yu and Jing Yao looked at Zhu Ling speechlessly.

“Zhu Ling, where is Jing Yao?”

“Boss, I’m Jing Yao’s manager. You can tell me directly.”

Zhou Lin said angrily, “No, Jing Yao has to do this herself. No matter where she is, contact her now and ask her to come to the CEO’s office immediately. Remember, hurry.”

Zhou Lin hung up after saying that. Zhu Ling’s expression darkened.

She said to Jing Yao, “Let’s put aside the termination of the contract first. I’ll go to the CEO’s office. Stay here and don’t go anywhere. You can’t leave this door until I come back, do you hear me?”
