Thicker than a snicker and heavier than a Chevy, the so called adults acting like children at dinner time. Oh how the roles have been reversed
Switch life
Autumn's parents were at the end of the table with their younger daughter to their side while Autumn and Kate sat on the opposite end of the long table that was atleast twenty feet long for some reason. White table cloth hung to the floor while candles were lit along the table, decorated perfectly with white plates and glasses, awaiting to be served by the famous Chef June who was gathering everything to bring over
Green and blue eyes stabbing each other from across the table while Kate sat there with her brown orbs trying to think of ways to escape a dinner she didn't sign up for
Just like all of us with our homophobic families at Christmas
"Where is May?" the woman asked
"I don't know"
"How can you not know where your own agent is? God I knew that woman was a mess when I hired her. Best in the world they said"
"Don't talk about May like that" Autumn hissed
"Lower your voice with me Autumn" The girl's mother said in a stern manner
Autumn's eyes narrowed to the woman, almost as if she was planning her death with her eyes. But she stayed silent and sunk deeper into her seat, crossing her arms against her chest
"Sit up straight, you'll ruin your back" her father said
"Sorry" Autumn mumbled before adjusting herself again
Another confused stick hit Kate behind her head as she frowned, a second time hearing Autumn apologize for a small thing yet it was only to her father
"What films are you working on?" The man asked
"A project with Kate-"
"Who is that"
"Her?" Autumn said as she pointed to the brunette, Kate's cheek immediately burned red
"Hmm, I was wondering why she was here" The man said
"Why is she here?"
"We have to liv-"
"It's closer to the studio so we agreed to stay a house together so it doesn't mess up our timing for filming" Autumn cut the girl off
"Interesting. I always assumed you'd live alone" the man said
"Yeah well, you always assume wrong" Autumn mumbled before hooking her fingers around the glass of wine and bringing it to her lips
"What was that!?"
"Nothing" Autumn shrugged
Kate took in a deep breath before rubbing her temples slightly, looking between Autumn and her parents who still held their intense stare
"What are your other projects"
"I'm not working on any other, just one-"
"What!?" They both hissed
"What's wrong with only focusing on one movie?" Autumn asked
"What else are you supposed to do with that extra time?"
"Um.. Have a life? Have fun and not stress myself out before I'm 25?" Autumn asked
"You'll have fun when you retire" her mother mumbled before sipping on her own wine
"When is your series coming out?"
"You.. You know about that?" Autumn asked, there was some smoothness to her voice. Almost as if she smiled with her words to know that they were following her life
"Yes. I had a trip down to the Antarctic last year when you were filming and your director told me you were the lead" The man said
The crushing pain came back again but this time it came with questions force, knocking at her lungs and holding her ribs, yet Autumn showed no emotion. She felt that pain inside and didn't flinch.
For she was too accustomed to dissapointment to ever have hope for something to go her way
"Oh... Why didn't you.. Say hi when you were literally in the same area as I was?" Autumn gritted
"I was working, I can just leave my meetings to come say hi. Just call me if you want to speak" the man shrugged
If Autumn didn't show her emotions, Kate surely did. The brunette pressed her teeth against each other, she tried her best to bite her tongue and not scream at the two heartless pieces of shit across the table but it was getting ridiculous. Dinner hadn't even started and she already wanted to slam their heads up the turkey's juicy ass
"Yeah. Got it" Autumn spat
"Alright, dinner is served" June announced as she walked into the kitchen
The woman brought over their meals and placed them one by one onto the table. Her eyes glanced at Autumn as she plated the girl, her small smile made her know that June was praying for the night to be over for Autumn
"Thank you" The smaller girl said as June placed a plate in front of her
"Don't thank her, it's her job" Autumn mother said as she brought the wine to her lips again
Kate almost scoffed loudly as she glanced at Autumn, amazed at the audacity of the bitch
"This is just five minutes with them, imagine what I went through" Autumn chuckled softly as she brought the knife between her fingers
"I.. I honestly want to apologize for them to you at this point" Kate whispered
"Don't do that. They're adults, they should own up to their own faults" Autumn shrugged
The sound of two buzzing phones filled the room, Autumn's parents didn't even hesitate to answer both of their ringing phones, bringing it to their ears and speaking loudly over the dinner table
"What's that about?" Kate asked
"Business meeting, the usual. They'll be done in fifteen minutes" Autumn said as she focused on her food
"What the- WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM"
"Thats who they are" Autumn shrugged
"This is ridiculous and I'm not standing for any of it" Kate scoffed as she tossed her napkin onto the table, folding her arms across her chest
Autumn chuckled softly before placing her soft to the plate, leaning back into her seat and turning her attention towards the brunette
The crinkles in Kate's furrowed brows and the small pout she had on her pink lips made her look even adorable. There was no way she could ever look angry, it just didn't fit her
"What!" Kate hissed at the staring girl
Autumn simply chuckled and leaned in a bit closer to the girl
"Nothing" The raven hair girl grinned
"You better back off before I kiss you" Kate spat
"Is that a promise?" Autumn pouted
"Yes" Kate smirked
"Just makes me want you even more" Autumn chuckled as she leaned in closer, her lips hovered in front of the girl's face
"Your parents are literally right next to us" Kate chuckled
"Uh huh" Autumn whispered as she placed a hand on the girl's thigh, causing her to suck in a breath
"Your sister-"
"Then you'll have to be quiet" Autumn chuckled softly as she placed her head onto Kate's shoulder, her hands trailing further up the girl's thighs
Kate's breathing became shallow, almost as if something tried to stop her from inhaling. Her hesrt throbbed in her chest as a heat settled in the pit of her stomach, feeling the girl's hands on her body
The mere thought of being caught seemed to make her blood rush through her veins even faster with adrenaline racing behind for the title
"Autumn" Kate hummed, tilting her head back
"Yes?" The raven hair girl asked before placing a soft kiss on the girl's shoulder
"You're gonna drive me crazy" The girl whispered
"I know" Autumn chuckled softly as she brought her fingers even higher, brushing it against Kate's front and watching her gasp
"Fuck" Kate groaned as she squeezed her legs shut, clamping them around Autumn's fingers
"I told you to be quiet" Autumn whispered, brushing her lips against the girl's ear
The raven hair girl's fingers then pressed hard against Kate's front, making me squirm in her seat
"P-Pardon me!" Kate spat as she pushed her hair out and stood in front of the table
Autumn's parents didn't even spare her a glance while the smaller girl just focused on her phone. Autumn snickered to herself as she watched Kate walk away from the table
But her eyes called after her. Kate glanced over her shoulder to the raven hair girl, giving her a sweet smile that had a sinister meaning behind it
And Autumn didn't hesitate to leave her chair to get what she wanted
