The huge red carpet was ahead rolled out, to be walked on by beautiful ladies and gentle men. The flashlights beam and shutter embraced the night. The red carpet spotlight tonight, was a little nerve wracking for the man in his mid thirties despite it not being his first time. Everyone's attention diverted to the pair as they strut down the length of the red carpet gracefully. It was definitely a sight worth watching, the nation's husband was accompanied by a charming young girl in her early twenties. Are you nervous baby? It was almost eleven when Emma and Gulf reached home, as expected Mew didn't get time to watch them. " Daadd.. papa and your little princess is back..." Jimmy shouted. " For God sake Jimmy will you stop shouting...you woke him up. Mew came down with a crying Aran.. " Phi... give him to me...No... I can manage, you might be tired... Jimmy take Aran from your dad and put him back to sleep... Mew opened his hands wide welcoming his beautiful daughter. Congratulations, dad is so proud of you... go and get some sleep... we will talk tomorrow when you are fully recharged.. Emma smiled and nodded her head. Phi Mew can you make me a coffee, I know it's late, but I need one badly. Mew smiled and headed towards the kitchen.
" Hey.... come on buddy try to get some sleep.. if you don't sleep, then no body else get to sleep here... please... don't you love your uncle... but the little boy just continued staring at nowhere.. Papa... why is he still awake...what should I do? Jimmy asked Gulf. Gulf smiled at his son, You can go to bed, hand him to me. Jimmy was an unplanned entry in their life. On the twins thirteenth birthday Mew and Gulf took them to an orphanage, they wanted the kids to realize how privileged they are and learn to appreciate the life they have. That's when a five year old clanged onto Gulf's legs. It just took an hour or two for the boy to blend into their little world. Ethan and Emma developed a deep liking to the boy, by the end of the day his cuteness and innocence won Mew's and Gulf's hearts. They didn't have to think much to decide about bringing Jimmy home. Since that day they had been a family of five for seven years, until Ethan broke the news. It really came as a shock to Mew when Ethan stood with his girlfriend of three years announcing their pregnancy to the family.
Ethan was just twenty one, Mew was disappointed but he knew, he of all person doesn't have a right to voice his thoughts. Of course he wanted to have kids but he definitely didn't want them when he was twenty. So the same goes for Ethan too, somethings are bound to happen whether you plan them or not. That's how little Aran came into their family making Gulf a grandfather when he was just thirty four.
Did my little man miss paa..... but paa missed his baby so much...Gulf laid his grandson on his shoulders patting his back as he hummed a soothing lullaby. " Here drink your coffee, I will lay him back in the crib. Mew said in a hushed voice, taking care not to wake the sleeping baby.
Gulf laid in Mew's arms leaning his back on the latter's chest as they looked through the photos and videos of the event that Mew missed. She indeed looked like a princess right? Yes she did. You missed it phi. I Know... can't help though.... Ethan and fern really deserved a break, they never had time for themselves since bun-bun was born. We are the one who sent them on a vacation, promising to look after Aran. Forgot to tell you, he broke my watch, the one you gifted. That's alright I can get you another one.
Mew kissed Gulf's temples. Phi... I feel sleepy...Then sleep...Gulf turned himself still laying in his husbands arms. In these twelve years since their marriage they rarely slept apart, of course they had their fights and arguments, but those were not enough to make them sleep separately. Gulf placed his head on Mew's chest... Phii..... Gulf called in his drowsy voice...His husband knew what he needed...The older male gently patted his tired husband's head, it was a must... Gulf wouldn't sleep if he couldn't feel Mew's hand's brushing his hair.
Their life was never complicated, it was just normal like everyone else. A normal life where they had morning arguments when Mew would search for his watch before going to office, with Gulf shouting at him for not having a proper place for things, the two of them waiting for the kids to show up to give them a good scolding for coming home late or spending money lavishly, or Jimmy buttering Mew up to convince Gulf for a hike in his pocket money. They lived a life just like any one of us, happy and contented with what they had.
