Chapter 102: Return

The TamedWords: 27755

Xiao Zhan woke up with a groan. The bright sunlight blinded him as he adjusted to the sudden light source. He let out a small sigh, rubbing his bleary eyes, and looked around. He could make out faint shapes around him before he finally took everything in. He sat up abruptly in bed, his eyes widening as he realized he was back in his room in Beijing.

What... No! This had to be... a dream. How am I back here? No... This isn't right. This isn't real. This can't be happening. Not after everything I went through.

"Lan Zhan..." he breathed, feeling fear and panic begin creeping up on him.

No... This cannot be. I can't be here now. What kind of cruel joke is this?

His mind began to race. He felt tears sting at his eyes.

If I am here now, what will happen to Lan Zhan? Fuck! I have to go back! I need to go back! Lan Zhan... What should I do?

Xiao Zhan buried his head into his knees, trying desperately to stave off the pain and fear in him. He wanted to call out to Lan Wangji and tell him everything but he realized that he was alone in the room now. His heart ached; he missed Lan Wangji terribly. He wanted to see his lover again, to hug him tightly, to kiss him, and to be with him. He needed Lan Wangji more than anything in the world. He was scared out of his mind, unable to stop thinking about the possibility of not seeing him again.

This has to be a dream! But... this feels just like the first time I woke up in Gusu. What if this wasn't a dream....

"No. Please no." Xiao Zhan begged himself quietly, his voice cracking in his desperation. He squeezed his eyelids tight shut to try and keep himself from breaking down completely.

Calm down. Calm down. Don't freak out first. This has got to be a dream, right? But it feels too realistic to be one...

It took a long while before he managed to gather his bearings enough to move. After taking several deep, calming breaths, Xiao Zhan finally composed himself enough to stand up shakily. He then felt his Dantian, checking it for spiritual energy. As far as he could tell, his golden core was intact and revolving steadily. He closed his eyes, concentrating, and could feel the energy of resentment swirling around him and the rest of the space he was residing in.

This is odd. How do I still have my cultivation in this world? And what is this weird feeling?

Xiao Zhan shook his head, trying to dispel the strange feelings that swirled in his gut. Looking around the once-familiar surroundings, he noticed his phone on the side table. He picked it up to see a few text messages from Wang Yibo from the day before. He tapped on the message and read through it carefully.

[Wang Yibo]: Where are you??

[Wang Yibo]: Why didn't you pick up your phone?

[Wang Yibo]: Did something happen??

[Wang Yibo]: Answer me

[Wang Yibo]: Please

[Wang Yibo]: Call me when you get this.

Xiao Zhan frowned in confusion.

What is he talking about? Something happened?

He checked the date and found out that more than a year had passed. He felt his stomach churn as he realized it was the same amount of time that had passed when he was still in the cultivation world.

What the hell is going on?

He shook his head in frustration. Whatever the situation may be, he still had to find out how and why he ended up here and it seemed that 9ne person might have the answer. With that thought, he grabbed his phone and dialed Wang Yibo's number.

"Hello?" Wang Yibo answered the call.

Xiao Zhan froze for a moment when he heard the voice. It sounded so much like... "Lan Zhan..." The name escaped his lips before he knew it. He closed his mouth and bit his tongue harshly to control the tears that wanted to spill out.

"Wei Ying?" Wang Yibo asked, concern clear in his voice. "Is anything wrong?"

Wei Ying?? Am I talking to Wang Yibo or...

"Wei Ying. Why aren't you speaking? Talk to me." Wang Yibo urged.

"Wang Yibo? Is that really you?" Xiao Zhan choked out.

"Yeah... of course, it's me. Who else?" Wang Yibo sounded even more concerned now. "Why are you asking the obvious?"

Wang Yibo is calling me 'Wei Ying'??

"Yibo..." Xiao Zhan paused, swallowing hard to avoid the sob that threatened to escape his throat. He managed to squeeze out, "There is something I want to ask you. Can I see you?"

Wang Yibo stayed silent for another moment, before letting out a deep sigh. His voice was laced with worry as he spoke, "Alright... Should I come over?"

Xiao Zhan took in a shaky breath and cleared his throat before replying. "No. I will go to you."

"Ok. Well, I am home right now." Wang Yibo said. "Come anytime you want."

"Right. I will meet you there soon." Xiao Zhan responded.

"Okay." Wang Yibo agreed quickly.

They hung up, and Xiao Zhan sat back and ran a hand down his face as he tried his best not to cry. It felt surreal to be talking to Wang Yibo again.

Yibo. Lan Zhan. I need to figure out why he's calling me 'Wei Ying'. The sooner I see him, the faster I'll get my answer.

He then took a paper and pen from his desk drawer and swiftly drew some inscriptions on it with practiced ease.

"Let's see if this will work." He muttered to himself before channeling his spiritual energy into the charmed paper, mouthing some incantations silently. A bright glow lit up the room, and Xiao Zhan felt like he was being pulled into a familiar whirlwind. Once it dissipated, he opened his eyes to see Wang Yibo looking at him with his mouth hanging agape, shocked at the sudden presence in his room. "Wei Ying??"

Xiao Zhan stood still, taking in how the man called him 'Wei Ying' and making him miss Lan Wangji more than words could explain. He tried to ignore the tightness in his chest and his racing heartbeat as the memories of being held and comforted by his Lan Zhan flashed in his mind. And he failed miserably. The tears that fell unbidden slid down his face, and he broke down completely. He covered his face with his hands, attempting to stop the flow of tears from falling.

"Hey... Why are you crying?" Wang Yibo asked softly, walking over to him.

"Lan Zhan...." Xiao Zhan cried, not bothering to wipe away the tears that streamed down his cheeks.

"What is it? Tell me what happened to you. Are you alright? Let me see." Wang Yibo asked worriedly as he stopped in front of Xiao Zhan.

"I... Is this a dream?" Xiao Zhan managed to choke out, unable to look at Wang Yibo.

"Dream? What do you mean?" Wang Yibo's hand moved to cup Xiao Zhan's cheek and slowly coax him to turn toward him. He wiped Xiao Zhan's tears away gently with his thumb as he spoke, "Why are you so upset? Did you have a nightmare again?"

Xiao Zhan sighed, closing his eyes and leaning into Wang Yibo's touch. He sniffled softly, "I am having it right now."

"Have what?" Wang Yibo asked confusedly.

"This." Xiao Zhan said gesturing vaguely to the room. "All of this. You... This place... This whole situation." He said, shaking his head.

"So... I'm the nightmare?" Wang Yibo frowned, staring at Xiao Zhan in disbelief.

"No...no. I don't mean... " Xiao Zhan mumbled, "That isn't what I meant."

"Then what did you mean?" Wang Yibo demanded, his brows furrowed tightly.

"I mean... Lan Zhan..." Xiao Zhan began, his voice breaking as he said the name.

"What's wrong, Wei Ying?" Wang Yibo pulled back to study Xiao Zhan's face closely.

Ah, I can't even speak if you keep saying my name like that. I can't even breathe...

"I can't..." Xiao Zhan suddenly hyperventilated, struggling to form the words as he tried to breathe normally.

"In and out. Slowly." Wang Yibo encouraged him, holding him firmly and running his fingers soothingly through Xiao Zhan's hair. His lips soon found their way onto Xiao Zhan's temple, giving it soft butterfly kisses to help calm Xiao Zhan down. "I'm here. I'm right here. You're not alone." He whispered into Xiao Zhan's ear.

Xiao Zhan couldn't help but lean forward in response, burying his face further into Wang Yibo's shoulder. The warmth radiating from the latter was comforting him as well.

"There, you're okay." Wang Yibo reassured as he rubbed circles on the small of Xiao Zhan's back. "Everything will be okay."

"Thank you." Xiao Zhan whispered as he closed his eyes again and relaxed fully against Wang Yibo's body.

"What is there to thank me for?" Wang Yibo asked. He sighed deeply, "So what happened? I wasn't able to reach you last night."

"Last night? What are you talking about?" Xiao Zhan asked, lifting his head to give Wang Yibo a puzzled look.

"Well, you didn't answer any of my calls and messages..." Wang Yibo stared at Xiao Zhan questioningly. He frowned, "I was scared something happened to you-"

"Wang Yibo." Xiao Zhan interrupted, sensing something odd going on. "Hold on."

"Hmm? What?"  Wang Yibo looked at him curiously.

"You..." Xiao Zhan's eyes widened in realization. "How do you have your core??"

The sudden change of subject took Wang Yibo aback, confusion etched onto his features as he tried to process Xiao Zhan's question. He stared at the man, "You helped me with that, remember?"

Xiao Zhan placed his hand on Wang Yibo's solar plexus, his brows knitted together and his lips pursed as he felt the familiar energy coursing through Wang Yibo's veins. He gasped as an idea formed in his mind. His hands began to tremble, and he began to stutter, "Lan Zhan??"

"Mn." Wang Yibo murmured in reply. He tilted his head questioningly at Xiao Zhan's reaction.

Unable to contain his emotions any longer, Xiao Zhan's grip tightened around Wang Yibo as a smile spread across his lips. "Lan Zhan!" he exclaimed.

"Yes?" Wang Yibo blinked slowly.

Xiao Zhan leaned forward, his lips meeting Wang Yibo's. Wang Yibo responded immediately, and soon, it was like everything was right in the world. They kissed passionately as if they were never going to kiss each other again.

Xiao Zhan's eyes fluttered close and he breathed softly. "Lan Zhan... It's you."

"I'm here, Wei Ying." He heard the deep voice whisper next to his ear.

Xiao Zhan slowly opened his eyes and a pair of teary golden eyes stared back at him.

"Wei Ying..." Lan Wangji whispered as he pulled Xiao Zhan into his arms and held him tightly. "You're awake." He buried his face in Xiao Zhan's neck, inhaling his scent deeply.

Xiao Zhan could feel Lan Wangji's body trembling and the tears soaking through his clothes.

Xiao Zhan squeezed Lan Wangji in return and hugged him just as hard as he wanted to. "Why are you crying?" He asked quietly, his voice muffled by Lan Wangji's shoulder.

"You were asleep for more than two weeks. I was terrified..." He confessed as he continued to hold Xiao Zhan in his arms.

"Two weeks??" Xiao Zhan repeated dumbfounded. He didn't expect that he slept that long.

No wonder my body feels as stiff as board. Oh, my poor back!

Wen Qing's voice came suddenly from behind them, "Oh, you are finally awake?" She sounded surprised and relieved at the same time.

"Yeah, I guess so." Xiao Zhan answered as he reluctantly pulled away slightly from Lan Wangji, wiping Lan Wangji's tears away with his thumbs.

"Good!" Wen Qing flashed a relieved smile to him. "Now, I don't have to worry about another person on the verge of collapse." She gestured at Lan Wangji as she approached the bed, wanting to check on Xiao Zhan's condition.

Lan Wangji didn't budge from his position though, his arms wrapped tightly around Xiao Zhan's waist as if afraid Xiao Zhan would disappear.

"I am not going anywhere, Lan Zhan." Xiao Zhan said reassuringly, patting his back lightly.

"It's not like he will be able to leave the bed so soon, Hanguang-jun." Wen Qing said to Lan Wangji. The corner of her mouth curled up into a smirk as she watched the younger man frown slightly at her. "He just woke up. I need to check on him."

"Hmm." Lan Wangji muttered. He loosened his grip slightly and reluctantly let go of Xiao Zhan Stepping aside, he allowed Wen Qing access to Xiao Zhan's side, but he remained standing close to the bed, as if unable to tear himself away.

"Now, let's see..." Wen Qing murmured softly as she positioned herself beside the bed, her gaze focused on Xiao Zhan's pale face. She gently placed her fingers on his wrist, feeling the faint throb of his pulse beneath her touch. Her expression grew more serene as she concentrated, silently assessing the state of his core before a pleased expression appeared on her face, "You are in perfect health, A-Xian." She informed, patting his shoulder in satisfaction.

Xiao Zhan smiled at the gesture, "Thank you, Qing-jie."

Lan Wangji's normally stoic expression softened, a flicker of relief passing through his eyes. He had been consumed by worry during the long weeks of Xiao Zhan's unconsciousness, his heart heavy with the fear of losing the one he loved most. The burden of sleepless nights had etched shadows beneath his eyes.

Wen Qing made way for Lan Wangji once more as she remarked, "There's nothing to worry about, Hanguang-jun. Your constant transfer of energy had helped him fully recover." She informed. She then continued in a stern tone, "For now, I recommend that you rest. You barely slept in this couple of weeks. You'll collapse soon if you go on."

Xiao Zhan's eyes widened as he registered what Wen Qing had just said and he turned to Lan Wangji, "You shouldn't have done that for me." Xiao Zhan said as guilt flashed in his eyes.

"What should I have done, Wei Ying?" Lan Wangji's voice held a trace of vulnerability. "You were unresponsive, no matter how much I tried. It feels like I've lost you forever."

Me too, Lan Zhan. I thought I wouldn't get to see you again.

The pair then stared into each other's eyes wordlessly, with tears rimming their eyes. Both were relieved to be in the presence of one another.

"Ahem... Maybe I should give you two some space and go inform Sect Leader Nie on this happy occasion. He'll be delighted. "Wen Qing said before she walked briskly out the door with a grin tugging at the corner of her mouth.

Lan Wangji watched her exit silently and then returned his attention to Xiao Zhan, "Wei Ying..."

"Come here." Xiao Zhan beckoned him towards him and opened his arms invitingly.

Lan Wangji didn't waste time, stepping towards Xiao Zhan eagerly and embracing him tightly. "I missed you." Lan Wangji murmured into his neck.

"Hmmm..." ..." Xiao Zhan hummed in contentment and nuzzled deeper into his warm embrace. The room was filled with a soft glow, the faint light of the sun filtering through the delicate curtains. It cast a warm, golden hue over the lovers, creating an ethereal ambiance that matched the tranquility in the air.

"So, you are Hanguang-jun now, huh?" He said teasingly. He traced gentle circles on Lan Wangji's back with his fingertips, reveling in the feel of his strong, steady heartbeat against his chest.

"Mn." Lan Wangji nodded.

"My dear Lan Zhan is indeed Hanguang-jun." Xiao Zhan spoke sweetly. "My Hanguang-jun."

"You got a title too, Wei Ying" Lan Wangji mumbled into Xiao Zhan's skin, his voice filled with a mix of pride and adoration.

"Did I now?" Xiao Zhan questioned as he pulled back a little to look at Lan Wangji. "And what might that title possibly be?"

"Xiumo-jun." Lan Wangji whispered, staring deeply into Xiao Zhan's eyes.

**[Note: 庥魔君 (Xiūmó jūn) "Shadow Demonic Lord". 庥 (Xiū) means shade or protection, 魔means demonic or magic (same 魔 in 魔道祖师 (Módào Zǔshī) and 君 (jūn) means Lord or Monarch. So even though 魔君 means demon lord, the title has a positive connotation from the word 庥 (Xiū).]

"Xiumo-jun?" Xiao Zhan laughed breathlessly in amusement. "I guess that makes sense."

"And there's another." Lan Wangji said, said, his voice barely above a whisper, as he brought a finger under Xiao Zhan's chin, tilting his head up. "Yiling Patriarch."

Xiao Zhan laughed once more, his laughter like music in the room, as he cupped Lan Wangji's cheek, pressing their foreheads together fondly. "Well, that one is expected."

"There are plenty of people wanting to be your disciples now, Wei Ying," Lan Wangji murmured, his thumb caressing Xiao Zhan's cheeks lovingly.

"Well, sorry then." Xiao Zhan grinned mischievously, his eyes sparkling. "This one is out of commission for the time being."

Lan Wangji smiled at the return of his lover's usual bright demeanor. He then leaned down to press his lips onto Xiao Zhan's gently. It was a brief kiss but it was enough to cause the latter to smile happily.

Xiao Zhan then placed a peck to Lan Wangji's nose, his lips lingering for a moment before pulling away. "Now, be a good boy and rest up properly, Lan Zhan. Don't worry about anything else. We can talk about those later. I won't go anywhere."

"Alright..." Lan Wangji mumbled, his eyes falling closed tiredly, his body finally succumbing to the exhaustion that had plagued him for weeks.

As Lan Wangji finally fell asleep beside him, his features relaxed and peaceful, the corners of Xiao Zhan's lips curled upwards into a gentle smile. He pressed a small peck onto Lan Wangji's forehead, his touch feather-light. "I love you, Lan Zhan."

Thank God, it was just a dream and I am still here.

Xiao Zhan's heart clenched at that thought. He glanced down at Lan Wangji's sleeping form, noticing how peaceful he looked. He traced along his jawline until it reached his cheekbones.

But why was that dream felt so real? And Wang Yibo is Lan Zhan? What was that about?

*****

Impure Realm had never been so joyous before. Everyone was rejoicing, laughing and cheering excitedly as they celebrated the end of Xiao Zhan's deep slumber.

"Ying Er, I'm relieved to see you awake." Sect Leader Nie said as he pulled Xiao Zhan into an embrace as soon as the duo made their appearance in the hall later that evening.

"I'm sorry to worry you, Father." Xiao Zhan apologized sincerely.

"No need to apologize. If anything, you deserved to rest." Sect Leader said as he pulled away, placing his hands on Xiao Zhan's shoulder, "I'm so proud of you, Ying Er."

Xiao Zhan could hear the sincerity behind his words and he felt himself smiling widely. "Thank you, Father."

"A-Ying!" Jiang Fengmian exclaimed from the entrance, having just arrived with a bunch of others all the way from Yunmeng, "How are you?" He asked Xiao Zhan.

"I'm alright, Uncle Jiang." Xiao Zhan smiled as his uncle gave him a brief hug.

Jiang Yanli, who followed close behind, greeted them with her usual soft smile, "A-Xian. Hanguang-jun. I'm happy to see you both looking well."

Xue Yang too rushed up to both of them. "Wei-ge! Wangji-xiong!" The boy hugged them both at once, causing Xiao Zhan to chuckle and Lan Wangji to smile softly at the boy. Xue Yang grinned happily at them.

"Wei Wuxian! Do you know how much you made my sister worried?" Jiang Cheng complained, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"You were worried too, Jiang-shixiong." Xue Yang exposed him. "You even lost your appetite because of worry."

"Shut it, brat!" Jiang Cheng scowled at the boy.

"Young Master Wei!" Lan Xichen's voice came in as he walked in with the other two Nies. "It's good to see you back!"

"Didi!" Both Nie Mingjue and Nie Huaisang looked happy to see their brother.

They all gathered around the young man who seemed to be the center of their attention. Xiao Zhan chuckled in delight as he greeted everyone warmly, basking in the warmth of their laughter and happiness. His heart felt lighter than ever before.

Lan Wangji stood next to him, his hand resting on Xiao Zhan's waist, watching his beloved with loving eyes, never moving away.

The lively conversations and festivity went on. Everyone had their fill of good food and there was music being played in the background in a jolly atmosphere. The banquet hall was overflowing with merry chatter.

"Didi, what do you think of your titles?" Nie Mingjue asked Xiao Zhan, his tone carried nothing but pride as the big brother.

"They sound good to me, Da Ge." Xiao Zhan grinned broadly, leaning to his side slightly so that he would be closer to Lan Wangji.

"Well, Hanguang-jun and Xiumo-jun surely compliment each other." Jiang Yanli added with a chuckle.

"Yes, they are the Yin and Yang duo after all." Said Lan Xichen with a grin and a twinkle in his eye.

"You forgot the 'demonic', Zewu-jun." Jiang Cheng interjected, causing Lan Xichen to laugh.

"Well, Sandu Shengshou." Xiao Zhan smirked at Jiang Cheng. "Your title is a mouthful. It suits you."

[Note: Jiang Cheng's title is the same as in the novel. 三毒圣手, Sāndú Shèngshǒu means the Hands of the Three Poisons (Daoism). His sword's name is Sāndú.]

Jiang Cheng shot daggers at Xiao Zhan. "That would be quite a lot better than 'Demon Lord'." Jiang Cheng huffed before he turned to Nie Huaisang. "And much better than Jimou-zun."

[Note: *Nie Huaisang title: 計謀尊 (simplified: 计谋尊 Jìmóu zūn (Master of Schemes), 计谋 means stratagem or scheme.]

Nie Huaisang slapped Jiang Cheng's arm, "Hey, don't make fun of my title! I worked hard for it, okay?" He pouted childishly. "Besides, you took command from me. That means you are my underling." He poked Jiang Cheng in the ribs playfully.

"Underling, your ass!" Jiang Cheng scoffed indignantly. "If not for me protecting you, would you have ever made it that far?"

"Oh, come off it! You were my biggest supporter!" Nie Huaisang scoffed loudly.

"Then, maybe you should be grateful!" Jiang Cheng argued. "Besides, I don't have a choice. If you die, I die too." He said, crossing his arms petulantly, "I mean, literally!" He added, not wanting a misunderstanding on his statement.

But it was too late and Nie Huaisang already gasped dramatically and looked at him with doe eyes, "That's the most romantic thing you have said to me, Jiang Cheng. I'm touched to the core." He said as he wrapped his arm around Jiang Cheng's shoulders. "How about we go get married?"

"Get lost!" Jiang Cheng scowled and pushed Nie Huaisang away.

"No no!" Nie Huaisang exclaimed, holding onto Jiang Cheng tightly. "That won't do, I must propose to you now."

"Nie Huaisang! Let go of me or you'll regret it!" Jiang Cheng struggled, but Nie Huaisang wouldn't let go even if his life depended on it.

"Okay, how about you propose to me?" Nie Huaisang suggested with a wink.

"I'd rather die than marry you!" Jiang Cheng yelled.

"Oh come on!" Nie Huaisang whined, pouting at Jiang Cheng. "I'm willing to take you as my husband!"

"I refuse!" Jiang Cheng spat out vehemently as he tried his best to shake Nie Huaisang off.

"Fine!" Nie Huaisang said as he released his grip that instant. "Suit yourself ." He shrugged indifferently. "We'll take our time then."

"Never!!" Jiang Cheng snapped.

Everyone laughed at both of their antics and watched them argue playfully for a moment or two before the topic of conversation shifted back to Xiao Zhan.

"So, Didi." Nie Huaisang said as he raised his cup toward Xiao Zhan from across the table. "How about we toast for your return? A toast to my little brother's health! To Xiumo-jun! The Yiling Patriarch!"

"To Xiumo-jun! The Yiling Patriarch!" Everyone repeated and they each lifted their cups up high before gulping it down in one shot.

Xiao Zhan was about to drink from the cup when Lan Wangji took it out of his hand and drank it on his behalf. "Lan Zhan!" He cried in surprise.

"You shouldn't drink alcohol." Lan Wangji said simply.

"No! You are the one who shouldn't drink!" Xiao Zhan retorted immediately as he stared at the empty cup in Lan Wangji's hand.

3... 2... 1... And here we go...

With the countdown over, Xiao Zhan caught Lan Wangji's head between both of his hands as the man fell asleep.

*********

Lan Wangji's drunkenness as always came in two stages. The first stage had passed and Xiao Zhan ended up leaving the banquet early with him. The second stage was the actual drunk Lan Wangji emerged and drunk Lan Wangji was always something else. This time he was extremely gentle, slow, and possessive at the same time. He was so careful like there was something fragile about Xiao Zhan. As if he were the most precious treasure in the world. And Xiao Zhan reveled in the sensation, basking in the overwhelming love that Lan Wangji showered upon him.

"Wei Ying, don't ever leave me." Lan Wangji muttered against Xiao Zhan's neck.

"I won't." Xiao Zhan promised. "Don't worry about that." He said softly as he rubbed Lan Wangji's back soothingly. "I won't go anywhere."

Lan Wangji suddenly pulled away and held Xiao Zhan by his arms, "And never sleep too long like that ever again." He demanded with a pout.

"Yes... Yes... I won't." Xiao Zhan chuckled.

My puppy is sure cute when he's drunk.

"Promise?" Lan Wangji gazed at him pleadingly.

"I promise." Xiao Zhan said softly.

Lan Wangji hummed in satisfaction and hugged the man tightly once more. He nipped on Xiao Zhan's collarbone lightly, making Xiao Zhan shiver slightly. "Good... stay with me forever..." He mumbled as he leaned forward to capture Xiao Zhan's lips.

Lan Wangji's kisses tasted of wine and Xiao Zhan couldn't help the way his body reacted whenever his beloved touched him. It was as if every nerve in his body was set ablaze, aching for more of Lan Wangji's intoxicating presence. This man, his Lan Zhan, knew just what to do with a person to turn them into a mess of hormones and emotions. His kiss was soft and sweet, making sure that Xiao Zhan understood how much his devotion meant to him and made him feel safe and protected. It was intoxicating, and he wanted more. He needed more.

"Lan Zhan..." Xiao Zhan moaned quietly against the soft lips of the man holding him. He could feel Lan Wangji smile through the kiss which only served to increase his desire. At this moment, he belonged to Lan Wangji completely, body and soul.

Xiao Zhan's fingers tangled in Lan Wangji's hair as the latter continued his onslaught on his neck, trailing a path of fiery kisses down to his chest. Each touch was a jolt of electricity, igniting his senses and heightening his pleasure. Their clothes soon formed a heap of mess on the floor.

While Lan Wangji's lips moved feverishly along Xiao Zhan's exposed chest, his hand wandered down Xiao Zhan's torso, making goosebumps rise up. As soon as his hand brushed against Xiao Zhan's inner thigh, Xiao Zhan's breath hitched and his whole body trembled with anticipation. His face was flushed red as Lan Wangji went further down on him. He arched upward slightly when a warm wet tongue swirled over him.

"Fuck." Xiao Zhan cursed under his breath as he squeezed his eyes shut.

"Hmmm.. did I do something wrong?" Lan Wangji asked innocently.

Xiao Zhan opened his eyes and looked lovingly at Lan Wangji as he caressed his cheek. "Not at all, Lan Zhan. Don't stop." He pleaded huskily.

Lan Wangji smiled and continued his ministrations on Xiao Zhan until the man was panting heavily and gasping for air, his whole body tense as the last vestiges of his control were being shredded apart. His head fell backwards as he cried out Lan Wangji's name and his muscles relaxed after a few moments.

"I love you, Wei Ying ." Lan Wangji whispered into the side of Xiao Zhan's neck.

"I love you too, Lan Zhan." Xiao Zhan replied in a soft voice, his eyes closed as his chest heaved rapidly.

Lan Wangji pulled away just long enough to gaze deeply at Xiao Zhan's flushed face with loving eyes. He leaned forward once again and gently pressed his lips against Xiao Zhan's. In this moment, Xiao Zhan knew that he was home, wrapped in the arms of the person who completed him in every way.
