Chapter 16: To Make Him Happy Jasmine's POV After that day, Diego and I didn't change.
âAre you excited?â Diego asked while David nodded smiling. â Daddy Uncle, why is it that no one is here, just us?â He asked, which made Diego laugh.
I held his head. âYour mom owned it, Son,â he answered.
â Really?! This big plane? Mom, I want one too!â I bit my lower lips because of what he said, while Diego was laughing at me.
â Stop it, Diego. It's not funny. You're spoiling him. â I hit his hand and glared at him.
â If your mom don't want to buy you, then I will,â he confidently said, trying to tease me even more.
I know Diego, and he's really going to do that if David keeps on begging for it.
â Diego?â I warned him. â What? He likes itâ he said, trying to oppose me again.
â Listen to both of you. Diego, stop spoiling My son. What if someday he would act like a brat and everything he wants he should get it? And David, son, It's not because you want something it doesn't mean that you should have it. You know what I learned in life? You have to earn every penny, and I'm not saying this because I don't like the way you are acting now. I'm saying this because I want you to learn that it's not easy to buy Something like this. Your Daddy Uncle often has a good sleep, me neither because we are working to earn to buy what we need and what you needâ he looked at me trying to understand what I said.
â You still don't know what I am talking but when you grow up you'll understand itâ I said and mess his hair.
â Your mom is right, David. Don't worry; I'll still figure out how to convince your mom,â he said and winked at him.
â You're really a hard-headed man, Diego. That's why David keeps on looking for you because he likes you spoiled him.â I rolled my eyes, but they just laughed at me.
We decided to sleep in the meantime while waiting for the plane to arrive at its final destination.
I woke up when I heard someone eating. When I opened my eyes, I saw Diego and David eating together and they didn't even bother to wake me up.
They both looked at me.
â Really? You didn't wake me up to eat?â I asked them and they just laughed at me. These two men are making fun of me.
â Daddy Uncle told me not to wake up, Mom,â David said. I glared at Diego and he raised both of his hands in the air.
â You didn't sleep well last night because you're working. That's why I told David not to wake you so you could rest,â he explained.
He's right, I only had four hours of sleep last night. I really finished everything before leaving. Diego also did the same thing.
â Here, Mom, don't get mad at Daddy Diego, â my son offered me food, and I accepted it.
â I'm not,â I look away.
After how many hours we had already arrived at the place. We went directly to Diego's house.
As I stepped Inside the house, I remembered Diana, I missed her.
I missed this place too.
â I'm hungry, mom,â David said as he held my hand as we finished fixing our stuff. We haven't cooked yet.
â Let's eat outside,â Diego said, and I agreed. Though it's already late, I want David to experience eating here for the first time.
â You want to eat outside?â I asked David and he happily agreed.
After how many minutes we decided to go to a restaurant, David and Diego are sitting together while I was in front of them.
Diego was the one who ordered food, and after how many minutes, it was already served.
â Can we go out tomorrow and play in the park?â He said while Diego was feeding him.
â If your Daddy Uncle is not busy, then we can,â I told him, which made him look at Diego.
â Please? I really want to go there. I saw Mom's picture in a park somewhere, and I want to go there, too. â I sigh. He's only a kid, but he's smart. He wants to explore different things.
âOf course, we will. â He said and messed up his hair.
I looked at Diego and he shrugged his shoulders. I know he has an important meeting tomorrow.
Winning Her Heart Again (Jasmine)
ï¤Chapter 15: I Like You â Why did you agree?â I knotted my forehead, and he sighed.
â I'll just talk to my client. Besides, we just got here, and we have to at least rest for the meantime and bond together.â He convinced me.
â We went here because we have to finish that businessâ, I said, but he just smiled at me.
â You don't have to worry about it. I'll talk to my client. â He said and started to feed David.
After we were done, we decided to bring David In a Mall.
â Dady Diego, look. â He pointed at the big car big enough for him to ride on. I was about to stop Diego when he suddenly called someone.
â Do you have any other colour?â He asked the saleslady.
â This way, Sir,â the sales lady guided him, and he carried David.
Here they go again.
â Which one do you like?â He asked My son while looking at the cars.
â I want the red one, â he touched it using his pointed finger.
I crossed my arms while looking at Diego. I glared at him but he just smiled at me.
They tried the car, and it's working. Diego is teaching him how to drive it. I couldn't help but laugh when Diego was the one who rode in the car. He's totally not fit in there.
â Let me try, Daddy!â David is running after him while Diego is laughing. He's like a kid. Actually, he's not really like that, but as David grew up, he's really being a father to my son.
â Here come, you should first-â I couldn't smile but watch them together. I am surprised that David easily learned how to drive a small car.
We ended up buying one that made him happy.
