Exchanging Father (2)
Liang Yuanqing sighed heavily. Before he could open his mouth, the sound of his daughterâs cries rang in his ears again.
âWuu wuu wuu⦠Dad, I didnât kick the pig. You know Iâm a scaredy cat, it hit me by itself. I didnât kick it. You donât love me anymore, Iâm going to tell Mom when we get home.â
Fatherly love blinded Liang Yuanqingâs eyes for a moment.
He glared at Jiang Xiaoman and said, âI know my daughter the best, she is not that kind of kid. Apologize to her, and I will forget this matter.â
He ignored Yu Qingshiâs words.
Although he was Yu Wenchengâs son, Yu Qingshi was just a young kid. He had heard that the kid had a psychological anomaly; perhaps he couldnât even talk clearly.
There was nothing to be afraid of.
Liang Yuanqing stared coldy at the crying Jiang Xiaoman.
Although he didnât hit her physically, this kind of cold violence hurt a childâs heart even more than Grandmaâs fists.
Liang Yuanqingâs gaze felt as if he was accusing her of lying and being dishonest. She was the one who did the bullying, she wasnât a good kid.
Jiang Xiaoman cried so hard it was difficult to breathe, but she did not apologize. She refused to bow her head and admit her âmistakeâ.
Yu Qingshi glared at Liang Yuanqing. His expression was very unhappy and irritated.
He rarely had an episode nowadays, but it didnât mean that he wouldnât.
Now, he was very irritated; he wanted to let his temper loose and throw things around.
But Jiang Xiaomanâs crying voice rang in his ears.
He abruptly resisted the irritation that was growing inside him, and returned to his expressionless face.
He said in an indifferent voice, âSince you donât believe it, letâs watch the surveillance tape.â
âWâ¦what?â Liang Yuanqing was taken aback.
Even Liang Siyu, who was being held in his arms, stopped crying. Her eyes looked scared and at a loss. When she looked at Yu Qingshi, it felt like she was looking at some kind of devil.
âI said, since you donât believe me, letâs look at the surveillance tape.â Yu Qingshi stretched out his finger and pointed to the corner of the small garden, where a surveillance camera was installed. âIâll call my Dad.â
Liang Yuanqing didnât know why he suddenly felt scared. He was covered in cold sweat. Before he could say anything, Yu Qingshi yelled, âDad!â
Yu Wencheng immediately rushed out.
He was just picking up some documents in the study room; he didnât hear the ruckus going on in the little garden.
âWhatâs wrong, Son?â
Yu Qingshi said, âThis awful kid kicked Xiaomanâs pig and said that it was the pig that hit her. Sheâs not a piece of cabbage, why would the pig rush at her?â
Liang Siyu was surprised for a moment, then she loudly cried. Wuu wuu wuu!
âDad, Dad, letâs go home quickly, I donât want to stay here anymore. I donât want to, I donât want to, Iâm not a piece of cabbageâ¦â
She began to cause trouble and act unreasonably.
Liang Yuanqing smiled awkwardly, temporarily at a loss on what to say.
âThis⦠this is a misunderstanding⦠Mr. Yu, please let me explain.â
Yu Wencheng didnât know if it was a misunderstanding or not, but if his son asked for something, he would definitely oblige. Also, Jiang Xiaoman was crying very miserably. Yu Wencheng saw her and became very angry. He immediately had people bring out a monitor.
Yu Wencheng acted very quickly. Liang Yuanqing had not figured out how to explain things yet when the monitor was brought out.
On the screen, Jiang Xiaoman could be seen desperately holding back Fragrance, and she managed to keep it a distance away. But Liang Siyu suddenly rushed at it and kicked the pig until it bounced back and forth.
Things began to become chaotic.
Yu Wencheng had a face that looked like he didnât know whether to laugh or cry as he looked at Liang Yuanqing and Liang Siyu, who was crying in his arms. He didnât say anything to them; instead, he told Jiang Xiaoman who was crying, âHere, come to Uncle.â
Jiang Xiaoman obediently walked over. Her grievance felt higher than the sky and deeper than the sea, and she couldnât stop sobbing.
âGood girl. Uncle knows that you are not that kind of unreasonable kid. You donât have to apologize to anyone, you didnât do anything wrong.â
His words meant that Liang Siyu was the unreasonable kid.
Jiang Xiaoman found an ally. She couldnât wait to cling to him, crying out âUncle Yuâ as she cried in his arms.
Yu Qingshi looked at her without blinking.
His father was hugging Jiang Xiaoman, while he could only hug Fragrance. Normally, he would be jealous. But seeing that Xiaoman was very aggrieved today, he would let her borrow his Dad for a while. Just for a while.
Fragrance oinked a few times, trying to nibble on Yu Qingshiâs hand, but he held it down mercilessly.
He was not Jiang Xiaoman and didnât have as much patience as she did.
Liang Yuanqing listened to her daughter cry while feeling agitated inside. At the end of the day, she was his daughter, and he couldnât not care about her.
